Some of you might appreciate this tale of what happens when mega-dollars get pumped into a state to help an economy and provide jobs through public works projects like building schools too fast in a "crisis" situation. The rationale for this recent nightmare was the very same one Obama used to scare taxpayers this time around. A comment from a Southern NJ forum will give you a clue. It's supported by media reports below.
It's like the (NJ) School Construction Corp. $9 Billion that was wasted. Just look at poor Gloucester City and their Middle School that's not there because there is no funds left. I still want to know where all that money went for only 2 schools. And one of those schools had to be torn down and rebuilt because it was on contaminated land.

They spent billions, didn't come close to finishing anything much - and now stimulus dollars are going to flow to the same government of Corzine in NJ that caused that fiasco. (click to enlarge) Anything they did build cost about 45% more than it should have and government cronies were paid at three times the going rate. Oh, but the Union bosses loved it! I wonder why, since it didn't deliver the promised schools?
Now just like Obama with his "crisis" mentality, Corzine is once again after billions more (it'll come from your stimulus, thanks) but he doesn't want voter interference any more than Obama wanted debate or for people to know what was really in the recent scamulus package. It's time to Act!

Obama and Corzine were shipping press releases out to drum up support for the new scamulus package - 106,000 jobs for NJ. Odds are many will never come, or they'll just be building more schools that don't get done, or are torn down because they were built over toxic waste.
The governor, of course, will want to move the campaign debate next year as far as possible from embarrassing discussions about corruption and to what he sees as his strength. He's also hoping his administration can somehow get a boost from New Jersey's expected support for the Democratic candidate, Barack Obama.
Jon doesn't need to hunt around for potential ethics violations and fraud. Just tell Annie Mil that Job #1 is to uncover all those responsible for the $8.6 billion School Construction Corp burglary. That's three grand ripped out of the pocket of every household in the state.
They fired and sued one contractor from the 23 school project - too late, damage done - they were in a hurry, you see? I suspect they were fired for more than that.
Gilbane Building Co., which also oversaw the recent construction of the new Prudential Center arena in Newark, was fired by the New Jersey Schools Development Authority after officials discovered a mold infestation at a public school project in Neptune.

Gee...New Jersey wasted all those tax payers dollars? How come most major media outlets revere Corzine as some sort of financtail genius?

All the money going all over to all kinds of things we have no clue about, will fall into the hands of many crooks in America all across this nation, from Mayors, to Governors and all their cronies.
Obama knows this happens and he don't give a shit.
He knows how it works afterall he came from one of the worst states and cities in out entire country.
He is a loser and has no clue what the hell he is doing and the cronies he has appointed are just as damn bad as he is. They are cheats, crooks and liars. BUT..WHAT THE HELL ARE WE GOING TO DO ?
