Schumer voted against some of his own constituents in passing an Amendment. NY Mag goes with an unflattering pic for the item. Hell, what am I saying. All of Schumer's pics are unflattering.
"It's hard for me to understand how any legislator from the greatest cultural state and city in the world could not include the arts in this stimulus package when we add so much to the economy in terms of jobs and tourism dollars," says Brooklyn Academy of Music president Karen Brooks Hopkins. "For us to be equated with casinos indicates a complete lack of understanding of what we do."
Arts organizations were hoping for some help from the economic-stimulus package. But they may be left empty-handed, and they're blaming Senator Schumer, though Schumer's office says he was "not aware" that a vote he cast in favor of an amendment would prohibit funding from going to cultural institutions. The original version of the package was arts friendly, with the House version containing $50 million for the National Endowment for the Arts. But when the bill started receiving criticism, the Senate removed the NEA money from its version.

Hey, I'm with you here. There was some talk of all legislation being posted 5 days before it was voted on. I haven't seen that promise surface. At the very least, it wouldn't hurt to have the whole bill vetted by various 3rd parties so guys like Schumer can get a massive chewing out from his constituency when this sort of shit floats to the surface.

I read where a radio stations is accpeting donations to buy as many bags of pork rinds as they get money for and will deliver them to Schumer's office. Love it !

Pork Rinds or Shoe for "Porky-Cheese" Schumer?
Tell Chuck Schumer you do care about the "pork" he supported in Obama's spending plan and openly described how he thought this Nation's public didn't care. Perhaps send him either a bag of pork rinds or worn shoe leather upon which to chew and contemplate his behavior. You may even want to tell him what you think of him as a professional; one so wlling to take your money, then laugh at you!

Lame-O say it ain't so!!
When Schumer and the other Dems blindly support this spend fest without considering the implications for their constituency first they prove that they are simply sheep in the process.
Not nearly as bad as the tiff between San Fran Nan and Prince Harry fighting over getting the credit.
These tools are racing to vote on a bill over 400 pages without reading it first. They still haven't actually SEEN a final bill yet that they are scheduled to pass tomorrow!
What about the rumor of Prince Harry dropping in a little last second pork for a high speed train between LA and Vegas!
These careless Dems will drive right off the cliff with ole Barry when the "shit hits the fan" and the "sheeple" wake up!

Why doesn't this surprise me at all?
Responsibility for one's own vote? What's that?
