Just so there is no problems going forward, I'd redact the dates of birth of the Hughes from my website. If the info was obtained from a public source, let that source face the consequences of possible ID theft. Just my two cents. Thanks.

They are public records, I would imagine especially so as there is public monies involved, though they would be anyway, I believe. Still as the year is all that's important, I redacted the actual dates of birth. It isn't relevant and I don't want to cause anyone grief. Just trying to get at the facts.

Why isn't this research into Henrietta's past just as immoral as research into Joe the Plumber's? They both gained national attention for interacting with Barack Obama. Those on the right went through the roof for his privacy being invaded. Is this not a parallel? I expect the defense to be that these are public records, but the effort had to be put forth to reveal them to us through blogs. For the end of making a point about politics and what the government's role should be in people's economic lives, this information is being advertised. The same goes for the info on Joe the Plumber. Other than technicalities, what's the difference?

There's an enormous difference between posting public records and hacking someone's identity. Sam Wurzelbacher - aka Joe the Plumber - had very personal, private information revealed by state employees who had access to non-public records. In my job as a fraud investigator, if I had even peeked at what those employees had in their posession, I'd have been fired on the spot. Wurzelbacher was maligned for asking a question that Democrats didn't like. The Hughes family falsely became the face of the current economic crisis and people have a right to know the truth in this case before they start sending money.

"his privacy being invaded"

Yo, Chuck - when someone digs into Hughes' confidential information through state agencies for political purposes, I will be as upset as I was then. This is public information and no laws are being violated, nor is anyone's right to privacy. You buy or sell a home it's in the newspaper, not only some state computer.

Chuck,

You're askng about the difference between public records and private ones. Legally, this is night and day. Morally, JTP's background was 100% irrelevent to Obama's answer, and all the "research" was designed to distract from that answer. But in this case, what is relevent is Obama's use of this woman as a human empathy shield to ram a liberal spending package down our throats and silence objections. A better comparison would have been the Frost family that was used by liberals to promote S-CHIP. If JTP had been used by Obama to pose as some unassailable figure who could only be saved by Obama's tax plan, then yes, it would be necessary to investigate whether his testimonial was legitimate. However, it would still have to be done in the LEGAL manner.

Bottom line, JTP didn't even need to EXIST for Obama to reveal his socialist tendencies. Henrietta is being used explicitly as a P.R. weapon to castigate those who would dare question the Generational Theft Act as racists who hate the poor, and it is not immoral for those victims to defend themselves with publicly available facts. In both cases, it's a matter of demonizing anyone who would dare question Obama's methods.

On my blog this morning, I published a post highlighting my research of the property records in Lee County, Fla. I discovered two people, Henrietta C. Hughes and Corey L. Hughes (son), possessed the wherewithal to pay off a six-figure mortgage in less than two years. It appears these people are the same ones who now find themselves destitute and asking President Obama for help just a few short years later. Hmmm???

I have a whole bunch of info on them, all gleaned through public records. None of it is confidential, and I didn't ask any public officials for it.

There is a difference between searching Joe's and Henrietta's backgrounds. Joe the Plumber didn't ask Obama for anything. He didn't seek assistance from Obama and his request, that he keep more of what he earns, didn't cost his neighbor a dime. Henrietta's request, had it been fulfilled by Obama, would have required that public funds be used for her upkeep. As such, other Americans would have seen their property depleted. In this light, one must conclude that asking government's assistance opens one to review by others whose work is used to support the public expenditure. Joe asked a policy question of a candidate. Henrietta asked that candidate turned President for direct personal assistance from the public funds. Once she asked for public help, she opened herself to public scrutiny.

Does this answer your question?

the wave continues to swell as the MSM continues to drive the propaganda down our throats... too bad the news cycle ends friday. if they can make it through the day without a blowup of their victims and their story, free and clear and the lie becomes truth.

at least some paid journalists are doing some research:

http://www.winknews.com/news/top/39518252.html

The housing info is 21 yrs old. Alot could of happened. I know it has in my life...I'm better now!

We are all Henriettas now. Where do I get mine!

Because of all the information found here I looked at Zillow.com. There is no house at 1011 Hibiscus but I noticed there were two addresses. One is 1013 Hibiscus which is a real house and quite a nice one. Is it possible that she gave her son an adjoining plot of land?

"It isn't intended to personally embarrass Henrietta Hughes"...

Why shouldn't this parasitic pig be publically outted and humiliated for leeching off of the productive?
