A round up of items on the Ensign Amendment which passed today in the Senate and should prove interesting to watch through the reconciliation process.
Here's the roll call. Several Dems supported it, including Webb. Lugar was the only Republican to vote No.
The NRA scores this as a big win for the 2nd Amendment. The Gun Owners of America had come out in support of the Amendment here. Senator Ensign filmed a video explaining the move for distribution on YouTube.
“Today’s vote brings us one step closer to restoring the Second Amendment freedom of law-abiding D.C. residents,” said NRA-ILA Executive Director Chris W. Cox. “It’s ludicrous that good people in our nation’s capital continue to be harassed as they try to defend themselves and their loved ones in their own homes. This vote reinforces the historic Heller ruling.”
