Update: Yes, let the fun begin. It's so enjoyable watching the Right be mocked and marginalized out here. Personally I love these kinds of fights when you have something to bring to them other than Leave Joe or Sam or whatever alone. I'm sure he's a great guy but doesn't he have a sink to fix, or something? These circuses where people spring to prominence for fifteen minutes are sometimes productive, or at least enjoyable to watch. Unfortunately, when they are dragged out, I can't recall one that didn't end just this way.
It's just that not everyone has figured it out.
You’d think Joe the Plumber’s 15 minutes would be up by now.
I watched too many seconds of him on PJ-TV yesterday until he informed that CATO, Heritage and Club for Growth are just brainiacs with no particular ax to grind on the stimulus package from a partisan perspective. I agree with many of their views. But the "non-partisan" bit is about organizational status and not how they align politically.
It might help if someone explained to Plumb-dumb what a conservative, libertarian or a liberal think tank actually is before sending him in un-armed. I bit my tongue on Israel but I find the whole thing embarrassing for the Right on the web and if he's going to make the Daily News then I'm damn well going to say it. Get a great looking broad with huge breasts if that's what it's about. Probably draw more traffic, too.

Joe really does need to return to obscurity.............

I'd rather watch the pitbull/lipstick video for the zillionth time, than to have to continually make the effort to change the channel everytime 'joe' gets plunked out there.
It's like the gop version of "Kids Say the Darndest Things", where instead of drawing on unlimited amateur talent, they have given an exclusive contract to one kid.
I don't blame joe, but the pr deafness that keeps him up and running is sick.

A distinction needs to be made for "real" conservatism over the wishy-washy, mealy-mouth McCain-Bush type "conservatism" that has effectively ploughed this nation into the dustbin of history by borrowing from the liberals' playbook.
We really need to return to the sort of conservatism that the GOP used to be known for... the paleo-conservative, America-first, pro-liberty principles that our grandparents knew - the conservatism of Cal Coolidge and the late Sen. Robert A. Taft II.
Conserving liberty... the freedoms to go about your business with a minimum of governmental nanny-ism
Conserving (saving) money and investing it in capital for American enterprise rather than sending it all to Wally World and their Chinese masters...
Letting bad business fail and good business take its place instead of propping it up with a horrifically socialist monetary policies (bailouts)
Unfortunately, I really think its too late: the ship of state is listing to port more than 20 degrees... and no amount of counterflooding or pumping can save it.
The tax-evading (democ)rats are jumping ship, the GOP violinists are playing their swan song, and most everyone else is just too damned ignorant to notice that those cold, angry waves will swallow them up in very short order.
Things will get so ugly over the next few years, that the sheeple (most Americans) will gladly accept a dictatorship, and the bald, naked discarding of those last tattered shreds of the intent of the Framers of the Constitution... (though the document will likely survive as a scrap of paper, just "re-interpreted" for the modern times).
Hard times... very hard times... are upon the horizon. Ye have been warned.
