Stop digging NFL. Evidently the NFL's policy hasn't changed and the Color Guard always watches the game on a big screen in the parking lot with a host of others. That may fly. But putting this below at the bottom of their statement is just dumb. The NFL needs to appreciate that it has had the "rare" opportunity to build a valuable franchise in a nation defended by these men and women. We can get by without the NFL. We cannot get by without our military. Pretentious idiots.
And if the folks who have received the rare opportunity to present the Colors during the National Anthem prior to a Super Bowl don’t want to do it if they can’t then assume a seat in the front row at the 50, we’ve got a feeling that there are more than a few members of our armed forces who realize that this specific assignment is far more valuable than a chance to attend the game itself as one of 66,000 spectators.
What? Has the NFL lost its freakin' mind? I suppose they need some small number of seats for corporate types?
This is outrageous, made all the more worse at a time when America is fighting two wars. These idiots better get their act together fast.
Paging Rush Limbaugh.
The Super Bowl won’t let the military color guard stay and watch the big game? Yes you read that right. Was I skeptical? At first, but after I contacted the Tampa Bay host Committee through their official website and spoke to Katie Wagner, I was assured that yes in fact her email inbox is full of emails from upset Marine Mom’s all asking for an explanation. To Ms. Wagner’s credit, who by the way was extremely gracious during my questions the Host Committee has no control over game day decisions; that authority rests solely with the NFL.

100% agree. Fuck the NFL.
Does anyone know if Tampa's stadium is taxpayer financed?

Meanwhile, talk about acting poorly to the military - Obama didn't bother to attend the "Salute to Heroes" ball. What a disgrace!

I think you read that wrong, that paragraph didn't come from the NFL, it isn't in quotes like the rest of the stuff that came from the NFL...they would never, ever be so stupid as to say such a thing, let alone write it down...it looks like commentary.
Much ado about nothing, if this is how it has always been done, then, I'm good with that.

According to the Commish, this is a long-standing policy. What's the big deal? Are any of the service-persons complaining? According to the link (not a primary source reflecting actual NFL policy by the way), the service-persons get to hang out free of charge, watch the game on a big screen tv, and eat and drink on the house. That sounds pretty good to me. A friend of mine in the Army gets to go to Giants and Jets games for free every season - good seats too. No one goes to the Super Bowl to watch a football game anyway.
