I do not allege that Palin's children were criticized, anyone who lived in this country during the last 4 months knows for an absolute fact that her children were brought into the election and used against her. Her daughter's pregnancy became fodder for every liberal commentator in the country. The fact that unsubstantiated conspiracy theories about her youngest child were given massive media play including the nutter Andrew Sullivan at The Atlantic should be a source of lasting shame for anyone involved in that farce.

I liked the dress for the ball. It was perfect for her. She is obviously not a part of the DC social scene so she did not realize that she could have asked the designer to make a buttress for her to dance. The designer is young (26) and he probably didn't think about it either.

The coat dress was very reminiscent of Jackie O. Since I just read somewhere that the prez had on a bullet resistant suit, isn't it conceivable that she also had on bullet resistant clothing which accounted for the drape of the coat?

She is trying to find her sense of fashion. Seems she just brought stuff like J Crew, it fit, looked good, was practical for her busy life. Now she is being told she has to wear designer stuff and so she may be carving her own path. She may be trying to find someone, an American designer to work with her.
