Interesting ad. These progs seem completely incapable of telling the truth. They could have presented an honest case against conservatives opposing the so-called stimulus. Instead, they fall back on the old take words out of context trick. Lame, just lame is all I can say.

As you know, Totally, Limbaugh wasn't talking about America failing, he was saying he hoped Obama/Reid/Pelosi fail-worthy policies fail.
As you also know, there are accusers who say your leader was once a coke snuffler.

Eleven Dem congresspersons voted against the massive pig farm bill. I am proud to say mine was one of them. Country and citizens over party politics...good show.

"ANNOUNCER: The Obama jobs bill overwhelmingly passed the House. But not one Republican voted yes. Every Republican member of the House chose to take Rush Limbaugh’s advice. Every Republican voted with Limbaugh. And against creating four million new American jobs."
The announcer seems to think every Republican hasn't a mind of his own. Extending his fallacy to a vote against job creation makes this guy a moron.

Justice Delay
Rejected as military judge declines Obama admin request to put off the arraignment of an accused USS Cole plotter. NYT:
WASHINGTON — The Obama administration hit an unexpected rough patch on Thursday in its plan to give itself time to decide how to prosecute Guantánamo detainees."

One of the comments left on Jules piece is very interesting -
"# Charlie (Colorado) Says:

Amr, that’s just because you’ve never heard it. In fact, interfering with a military judge’s legal proceedings is an offense under Article 37 of the Uniform Code of Military Justice. You could also google “unlawful command interference.”
I’m suspicious that the Obama Administration wasn’t aware of this either."
Posted by: Lala | Friday, January 30, 2009 at 12:21 PM
There are now over 4 million people collecting unemployment insurance benefits. Never mind 4 million "new" government jobs. Put the 4 million back to work.
Posted by: Lala | Friday, January 30, 2009 at 12:23 PM
"...unlawful command interference." Great catch, Lala. I was a bit concerned that the judge might have stuck his neck out too far, but I think you are right; that old soldier Obama and his band of brothers had no clue there was such a thing. I must confess I had forgotten about that too.

"And most sane people agree with him. Though actually it's only about 98% of republicans haven't a mind of their. The other 2% are profiting immensely off the knuckledragging stooges who vote republican."
Glad to see someone got that % thing going on...finally.

Eric Holder's law firm represents the Yemeni terrorists who are on trial, Fred.

"As you know, Totally, Limbaugh wasn't talking about America failing, he was saying he hoped Obama/Reid/Pelosi fail-worthy policies fail."
No. What I know is, like always, the Junkie leader of the GOP made a hypocrtical statement and then tried to backpeddal by screaming about the "context," like he did with the "phony soldiers" flap. He hopes Obama fails because if he does not fail, that means the end of the wingnut confidence scam for the foreseeable future - despite the efforts of the winger-enabling media.
"As you also know, there are accusers who say your leader was once a coke snuffler."
That's funny; Obama admitted to trying coke. I think you mean coke dealer. These are the same idiots who are still clamoring for a birth certificate and the whitey tape, i.e. the wingnut base. In any event, President Obama is OUR leader in a time when we are at war and the economy is in shambles. Do you want him to fail as well, Fwed? Do you, like the Junkie, have a vested interest in the collapse of the US economy?
"The announcer seems to think every Republican hasn't a mind of his own."
I wonder where that idea came from. I mean its not as if every single GOPer in the House voted against the stimulus bill or anything. And its not as if any GOPer legislators had to go groveling back to the Junkie leader of the GOP after criticizing him.

Article 37 begins:
"(a) No authority convening a general, special, or summary court-martial, nor any other commanding officer, may censure, reprimand, or admonish the court or any member, military judge, or counsel thereof, with respect to the findings or sentence adjudged by the court, or with respect to any other exercises of its or his functions in the conduct of the proceedings."
However, this court is a tribunal, I believe, and may not be covered by this. I'd have to punt to a millawyer on this.

if the gop is just a puppet of limbaugh, does that mean the 11 democratic house members, who opposed the stimulus bill, are also merely puppets?
Posted by: mark l. | Friday, January 30, 2009 at 12:46 PM
" I mean its not as if every single GOPer in the House voted against the stimulus bill..."
This reminds me that every Dem Senator voted Clinton not guilty during his impeachment. Did they have a mind of their own, Totally? And I guess I should have said coke head instead of coke dealer?
Posted by: Fred Beloit | Friday, January 30, 2009 at 12:50 PM
Wait...I never said coke dealer, you did.
Posted by: Fred Beloit | Friday, January 30, 2009 at 12:51 PM
"Wait...I never said coke dealer, you did."
I know, but that's what Obama's "accusers" accused him of. Unless I misunderstand your term "coke snuffler." I am uncertain of any controversy surrounding Obama's coke use because he admitted to using coke when he was younger.

And Mary Jane too, but hey, who didn't.

Here is Limbaugh's statement in full, just as I heard it in my car on the way to an appointment. The interruption referred to is his stopping to note his staff laughing. It should be quite clear, even to partisans, what he was saying. I completely agree with him on this, BTW.
"So I’m thinking of replying to the guy, “Okay, I’ll send you a response, but I don’t need 400 words, I need four: I hope he fails.” (interruption) What are you laughing at? See, here’s the point. Everybody thinks it’s outrageous to say. Look, even my staff, “Oh, you can’t do that.” Why not? Why is it any different, what’s new, what is unfair about my saying I hope liberalism fails? Liberalism is our problem. Liberalism is what’s gotten us dangerously close to the precipice here. Why do I want more of it? I don’t care what the Drive-By story is. I would be honored if the Drive-By Media headlined me all day long: “Limbaugh: I Hope Obama Fails.” Somebody’s gotta say it."

"Again, I fail to seet the significance of past drug use, especially in light of said use being admitted by the user."
You're the one who brought it up on this thread, my dear friend.
Posted by: Fred Beloit | Friday, January 30, 2009 at 01:08 PM
Easy on the drug references there, harpo. President hopey McSameChange likes to smoke his butts and snort rails, and you chose him as your fearsome leader.

Looks like the first casualty of the wingnuts embracing Limbo is Dan Riehl losing some traffic.
I will take this opportunity to move on.
I have a huge problem with Limbo opining that drug users should be locked up and the key thrown away. And then not being allowed to call him out on his being a druggie. After all, according to Limbo, Limbo should be in jail and I have yet to hear him once come to the defense of the thousands that are locked up for less than what he did.
That and I'm not smart enough to get my point across without an occasional f bomb.
Anyways, thanks for the opportunity to post.
I sincerely hope that the wingnuts here someday see the shafting given to them by the very people they vote for.
Ask yourselves. Are you better off today after 8 years of republican rule? And is our country better off today than 8 years ago?
And be honest with yourselves.
So long.

"I will take this opportunity to move on."
for good? or is this just a obama-style campaign promise?
don't answer that...

jharpless- Promises, promises. Don't let that monitor hit you on your @ss as you leave, I never read one worthwhile comment from you.

I think Dan's traffic will increase.
Posted by: Lala | Friday, January 30, 2009 at 04:10 PM
"I never read one worthwhile comment from you."
That's because he never made one. Actually, I hesitate to say anything about jharp leaving. But if he stays gone for over a week, I'll have a damn celebration, I'll tell you that. He and the Totally guy are two of the vilest creatures I've ever come in contact with.
But mark my words, old harpy will return, no doubt. Only a ban by Dan will keep the harpy from its appointed rounds. LOL. He's a true believer in the liberal/leftist cause, and has his entire psyche dependant on its success.

Totally says: " But I'd have a lot easier time feeling compassion for Limbaugh if he didn't make a career out of telling us all about his moral superiority."
I didn't know before that you are a listener. Could you give me an example of Limbaugh touting his "moral authority"? I must have missed that one. And he is a handicapped person as defined by the government, but I have this feeling, though I certainly don't speak for him, that he would tell you to shove your compassion.
Posted by: Fred Beloit | Friday, January 30, 2009 at 05:21 PM
Limbaugh did not use "Ilegal" drugs. And..he at least got help and admitted it to all and apoligized.
I have no problem with Rush at all.
Obviously O'bama feels threatened by him. He knows that 47% out there is going to climb when his policys fail and believe me they will.
He has told so many lies that it will take years to address them all.
Dave Ramsey Livid Over Obama Stimulus Bill
Financial expert Dave Ramsey finds out what many of us already know. Barack Hussein Obama is a liar and the "stimulus" bill will not stimulate the economy.
Ramsey says Obama "lied to the American people" and called his stimulus bill "... the biggest scam in American history".
This is the biggest socialist pork bill ever.
(this is 9 minutes but you should listen to it) It is true.

Ding, Dong, the witch is dead the witch is dead. Ding, Dong the wicked witch is dead!!!!
Harpo, good bye and good riddance!!
As far as Dan's traffic goes the numbers are down because of your presence! You have single handedly alienated many fine regulars here with you rants.
There are many here that enjoy the interaction's at RWV. Every now and then when Dan rattles a certain gay troll blogger's cage the moonbats showup for a little smack down for our entertainment. uummmmm good!!!
This marks the second time Harpo has "announced" his retirement from RWV, lets hope he means it this time!
And much respect to Saint Dan for not giving him the moonbat pleasure of being banned from RWV like Patterico's was forced to do!
Watchout Daily Koz one more hater checking in!
Now if only a certain THC Abuser and Lame-O would follow suit and crawl back under their rocks maybe there could be some intelligent, thoughtful dialogue again!
