I heard she can quif anthrax.

Perhaps she will deploy the Snuke? Just seeing the display case of such a weapon would be enough to make a man run to a series of emotionally insecure, attention-seeking women of questionable repute.

That happened on W's watch, dummy. They suspended the program under Clinton, only to send their plutonium enrichment program into overdrive once Prince George started his impotent sabre-rattling. Or did you forget it was under W's watch that they actually went to far as to test one of their bombs.

Dowd sucks up to Republican Establishment: "Dowd is wise!"
Dowd sucks up to Democratic Establishment: "Dowd is foolish!"

"-- Yeah, the same way Bill's entire administration frightened North Korea away from developing nukes.

Oh, wait .... --"

Hahahahaha. North Korea conducted its first nuclear test in 2006. I suppose that was all Bill Clinton's fault. Remind me again what the tough Bush stance on North Korea was again? How are those six-party talks going?

You are kidding yourself Space Cadet. That bomb was developed over years = ones in which Clinton was "talking" to them.

It's beyond stupid to think they started under Bush and suddenly had a bomb from nowhere. LIke I said - kool aid - and dangerous.

Whatever happened to the whole question of whether Clinton was constitutionally ineligible to be SecState?

"They suspended the program under Clinton."

I nominate this quote for the Neville Chamberlain "Peace in our time." Quote Of The Year.

I love how the liberal sockpuppets just don't even bother to read their history.

"Despite years of denials -- or, more often, just plain stony silence -- there is little doubt that since the early 1980s North Korea has been actively seeking to develop its own nuclear weapons.

Now, for the first time, North Korea has formally admitted it has a nuclear program.

Furthermore, it says, it has continued with work to build its own bomb despite a 1994 agreement with the United States that was supposed to see all such efforts abandoned.......

Under the terms of the so-called Framework Agreement in 1994 North Korea agreed to decommission and pull down its nuclear weapons facilities in return for the U.S-led construction of two advanced light-water reactors that do not produce material suitable for nuclear bombs.

It now seems, on its own admission, that the North decided to keep going."

Of course, jharp and his numerous sockpuppet identities will never admit this. They live in complete and utter denial, as we see by their statements above.

The way she intimidated Bill into keeping his pants on. As Michelle O said: How can you run the White House (or State Dept) when you cant even run your own house?

Rumor is that Hillary is packing heat between her legs...thats why she always wears pant suits or it could be she is hiding her cankles....

"How are those six-party talks going?"

this is actually one of bush's crowning achievements.

our 'relationship' with China has never been better. Bush came into office with a spy plane being forced down, and left office with China bailing the us govt out.

at best obama, can only hope to exploit the comfortable relationship that has been built, if for the singular reason of the messiah needing to find a country who will lend us money by buying our debt.

Perhaps obama's first foreign policy test will come in the refusal of China to finance his budget deficit...

they'll cave, but not without concessions. The largest issue that will be haggled over is whether we'll take their walmart priced cars on our roads. Very, very curious to see if the dems will stick to rigorous standards and protectionism, or accept that someone is going to have to provide the money for their plans.

my bet is on the former...
no way they screw the unions and provide nader with new material.

the outcome is that our relationship with the chinese is about to undergo some serious frosting and, barring another country with 3 trillion to lend over the next two years, there will be some serious down scaling of obama's proposed budget busters.

mark l.
Highly interesting and coherent analysis.

OMG, you're right! It's REGAN'S FAULT!

"-- Of course, jharp and his numerous sockpuppet identities will never admit this. They live in complete and utter denial, as we see by their statements above. --"

Clinton booped up. Better? Now, let's see if you can admit that Regan, Bush I, and Bush II booped up as well?

Given that N Korean didn't finish making their bomb until 2006. Bush had the foresight to include N Korea in his Axis-Of-Evil. Bush then proceeded to invade non-bomb-making country Iraq and pushed hard to invade non-bomb-making country Iran. Meanwhile, N Korea remained blissfully uninvaded while making its bomb.

I'm not saying that Dan has just issued out twenty pounds of bullshit in a five pound bag, I'm just saying that its a little naive to suggest you can pin this all on Clinton and still maintain a straight face.

Well, you tried to pin it all on Bush II. That's typical of you. I just wish you would stick to your own rules. Not likely, but the hypocrisy meter would go way down if you did.

Perhaps you missed the original statement made by you and your fellow liberals, IslamoLlama.

"They suspended the program under Clinton"

You and your fellow liberals tried to claim that there had been no nuclear activity under the Agreed Framework. You and your fellow liberals tried to blame everything on George W. Bush. You and your fellow liberals refused to acknowledge that the Clinton administration had allowed North Korea to continue nuclear development.

But of course, you can't really admit Clinton screwed up. You have to blame Bush, Reagan, and everyone else, rather than admit that you and yours lied about the North Koreans suspending their program.

"Given that N Korean didn't finish making their bomb until 2006."

actually, as of January 14, 2009, they still haven't made a bomb.

If you could point me to where they have proven successful, I'd like to see it.

"It's beyond stupid to think they started under Bush and suddenly had a bomb from nowhere."

Oh come on Dan. Next you'll be saying that it would have taken more than 8 months to plan, finance, train and execute flying airplanes into buildings. Of course it was GW's fault just like when the germans bombed pearl harbor.

"-- You and your fellow liberals tried to claim that there had been no nuclear activity under the Agreed Framework. You and your fellow liberals tried to blame everything on George W. Bush. You and your fellow liberals refused to acknowledge that the Clinton administration had allowed North Korea to continue nuclear development. --"

Hey, let's play a game called "Reading what IslamoLlama posted"

"-- North Korea conducted its first nuclear test in 2006. I suppose that was all Bill Clinton's fault. Remind me again what the tough Bush stance on North Korea was again? How are those six-party talks going? --"

"-- Clinton booped up. Better? Now, let's see if you can admit that Regan, Bush I, and Bush II booped up as well? --"

So, a) you're full of shit. Again.
b) I was more than free spreading the blame to the four Presidents that preceded Bush. You've been adamant in pinning a weapon tested in 2006 on a President out of office since 2001.
c) You still haven't explained exactly what Bush did to deter N Korean nuclear construction. Was this another "Bid Laden Determined To Strike America" moment? Or did Bush personally contribute his own special flair for failure in the mix?

http://online.wsj.com/article/SB121478274355214441.html

"-- With much fanfare and choreography, but little substance, the administration has accepted a North Korean "declaration" about its nuclear program that is narrowly limited, incomplete and almost certainly dishonest in material respects. In exchange, President Bush personally declared that North Korea is no longer a state sponsor of terrorism or an enemy of the United States. In a final flourish, North Korea has undertaken a reverse Potemkin Village act, destroying the antiquated cooling tower of the antiquated Yongbyon reactor. In the waning days of American presidencies, this theater is the stuff of legacy. --"

Now let's be fair and reasonable here. US foreign policy directed towards N Korea has been a disaster from every angle. This isn't a Clinton problem or a Bush problem, it's a world problem. Worth noting that the UK, China, S Korea, Japan and a host of other interested parties aren't particularly interested in seeing N Korea get the bomb either. They all sought various means of deterrence and they all failed.

If you are going to pick on Hillary Clinton for her failures - and she's had her fair share - picking on her for her husband's handling of N Korea is probably the weakest direction you could work.

Please try again and attempt some legitimate criticism.

North Korea developed and enriched uranium while Albright was playing ball and dancing with Kim. Now we are sending another fast forward (Clinton) who they'll keep playing ball with while they keep selling nuclear tech to our friends the islamo fascists.

"Now let's be fair and reasonable here."

LOL....and where was your "fair and reasonable" here?

"That happened on W's watch, dummy. They suspended the program under Clinton"

And once that lie was exposed, you changed tunes.

"This isn't a Clinton problem or a Bush problem, it's a world problem."

Of course it's not as "Clinton problem". Nothing ever is. First Democrat liberals like yourself lie; when that blows up in your face, then you try to spread and spin blame away from Clinton under the guise of being "reasonable" and claim that "everyone has failed".

Bullshit. Clinton made an agreement, the North Koreans broke it, Clinton KNEW the North Koreans were breaking it, and still didn't do anything about it. Just like Saddam did, just like Milosevic did, and just like Arafat did. That's why the world was laughing when Hillary was talking about "smart power"; what they know is that the US is now back to dumbass, pandering diplomacy that will let countries break every agreement they make because of the "legacy".

"picking on her for her husband's handling of N Korea is probably the weakest direction you could work."

her husband's handling...

so what were the high points of his foreign policy, that I can shower his wife with praise over?

somalia? rwanda? (during her hearing, schumer praised her for meeting with refugees from rwanda)

Damn, NDT, you've been eviserating the nutroot section the past couple of days. I haven't had this much pleasure reading Dan's blog in quite a while. Willie's back, too. Things are getting better and better here on Dan's blog.

"Willie's back, too."

Temp, I've been having a great time! Yesterday Harpie called me a total wingnut and today wingers are calling me a "moderate" and America hater and other such BS.

"Whatever happened to the whole question of whether Clinton was constitutionally ineligible to be SecState?"

If you mean the pay raise issue - apparently it's arisen before and a waiver or something simple deals with it.

"-- apparently it's arisen before and a waiver or something simple deals with it. --"

I think she's just getting paid the pre-raise amount. Given her $10 mil / year income from book deals and what not, I imagine she was ok with taking the hit.

"-- LOL....and where was your "fair and reasonable" here?

"That happened on W's watch, dummy. They suspended the program under Clinton"

And once that lie was exposed, you changed tunes. --"

Wow, are you still doggedly insisting that 2006 was "under Clinton"? You really are thick-headed. If you want to review Clinton foreign policy, there's lots of documentation.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Foreign_policy_of_the_Clinton_Administration

We could talk about the NAFTA agreement. We could talk about removing trade barriers with China and Japan. We could talk about relief efforts in Haiti. Or we could talk about how NATO forces quelled the genocide in the Balkins. We could even talk about the Israel / Palestine agreements between Rabin and Arafat, if only to conclude that - hey - at least Clinton wasn't reduced to hiding under his desk for the last two weeks of his second term while the two countries threw explosives at each other.

Clinton foreign policy outstripped Bush foreign policy by leaps and motherfucking bounds. By head count alone, its worth noting how Bush policies have managed to get several hundred thousand civilians killed and turned millions into refugees. We've abdicated our roll as leading diplomats to the French with Sarkosy doing all the wheeling and dealing with Russia (over Georgia), Syria, Iran, Turkey, Jordan, and Egypt (over Palestine / Israel and oil production) while American ambassadors stand by petulantly backing nothing but the next bombing run.

You can shove your head as far up your ass as you want. Even the leading conservative rags - from the WSJ to the NRO - acknowledge Bush's disaster legacy.

But please, keep playing the "Clinton was worse" game in hopes that no one remembers their history.

Ah hahahahahhahaha. Ah hahahahahah.

"Michelle Obama's $300,000 "Job" at a Hospital Obama Got Earmarks for So Scary-Important It's Eliminated As She Departs, With No Replacement Sought
Hmmm... I'm sorta thinking the "job" wasn't really critical at all, and certainly wasn't $300,000 per year critical.
The Chicago Way. Cush no-show jobs for political favors.
But remember -- Michelle Obama has had to work twice as hard to get half as far.
Thanks to Brett. Brett Weir.

The current SCOTUS threshold for a MUST STAY of BHO’s inauguration is not whether he is ultimately determined constitutionally ineligible to be POTUS, merely whether there now is SERIOUS QUESTION on his constitutional eligibility, since any determination of inelligibility AFTER inauguration would pose unnecessary civil and military difficulties.
