I have an item up at RedState today. I posted it there as it may be Ohio election-related eventually and RedState editor Eric Ericson was kind enough to let me guest post it. John Kasich may run for Governor and the media is already starting with a suggestion that he'll have problems simply because he worked at Lehman, though he didn't work in the mortgage end of the business.
It’s Never Too Early To Target A Republican
You have to give credit to old media. While an Obama appointee who failed to pay his taxes, even after having been reimbursed for the money by his international employer, is dismissed as only a speedbump for an incoming Democratic administration - speculation that an otherwise successful Republican pol, media personality and businessperson may want to run for Governor of Ohio in 2010 is enough to start drawing misdirected fire his way.

Speaking of Republicans - (off topic, I know)

Obama Should Emulate Ronald Reagan, Voters Tell Pollster
Wednesday, January 21, 2009
By Pete Winn, Senior Writer/Editor
Then-President Ronald Reagan at the Voice of America. (AP photo)
(CNSNews.com) - Americans would like to see incoming President Barack Obama use Ronald Reagan as a role model.
When given the choice of Abraham Lincoln, FDR, George Washington, Andrew Jackson, JFK, Dwight Eisenhower, Theodore Roosevelt, Harry Truman and Ronald Reagan – registered voters overwhelmingly said they want the new Democratic president to emulate the late conservative Republican president, who held office in the 1980’s.

I realize now that he was the guy who spent all his time on his cell at the "historic luncheon". Initially CSPAN had a great shot of him talking away but ultimately he realized he was being taped and went behind a column and turned his back on the CSPAN camera. Wonder who he was talking with and what he was talking about.
That guy has some head of hair. The pointy ears and the eye brows remind me of "Mr. Spock" though.

It seems CNN has a better name for our country. This is a headline on CNN Politics:
"Press Review: World hails 'United States of Obama'."
Can you say over the top?

LOL.....ah yes, Manfred Nowak, who screamed and squealed about how "unfair" the treatment of the criminal Saddam Hussein was.
It should be no surprise that leftists like Bruno Lakesvaag, who were shamed and humiliated by the fact that Bush exposed their support of torture and bribery under Saddam Hussein, should want revenge. It only shows how pathetic and petty they are, inasmuch as they refuse to admit that they fully supported and endorsed torture, genocide, and environmental destruction on a massive scale so that they could line their pockets with oil money stolen from Iraq.

That will be the best and most swift way of getting you back on your feet.

Thanks for posting. The educated half of America agrees with you. Unfortunately we have what we refer you as a wingnut faction of Americans that hate everything America is supposed to stand for. Rule of law, abiding by the Geneva Convention, and not attacking and invading countries that were no threat to us.
Very sad but we are on the road to recovery.

No, no ,no, Brownose, you are off on the wrong track again. Instead of confirming this guy for Secretary of the Treasury, we should indite him for tax evasion. This is reason number seven of ten available here:
http://pajamasmedia.com/blog/top-ten-disturbing-aspects-of-obamas-choice-of-treasury-secretary/
"7. False attestations
Further supporting my evasion assertion, Geithner told the IMF in writing year after year that he would pay the tax, but didn’t. As Byron York reported at National Review on January 14:
At the end of the tax allowance form were the words, “I hereby certify that all the information contained herein is true to the best of my knowledge and belief and that I will pay the taxes for which I have received tax allowance payments from the Fund.” Geithner signed the form. He accepted the allowance payment. He didn’t pay the tax. For several years in a row."

Sorry, jharp, but America doesn't stand for support and endorsement of terrorism and genocidal regimes like you and your fellow Obama Party members do, as is shown in your support and endorsement of Saddam Hussein and the corrupt UN bureaucracy that took billions of dollars from him while millions of people were starved, imprisoned, tortured, and killed.

Notice how the leftist Bruno Laksevaag accuses Bush, but has nothing to say about the clear genocide, torture, starvation, and murder of millions practiced by Saddam Hussein, all with the support of bribed UN officials.
Hatemongers like jharp who call our troops "uninvited and unwelcome intruders" and who, like Obama, support apologists for Osama bin Laden are not "educated"; they merely are puppets who echo the racism and hatred of European leftists like Bruno Laksevaag.

I believe - in a few years, nobody will admit they ever supported Bush!
Posted by: Bruno Laksevaag | Wednesday, January 21, 2009 at 02:58 PM
Don't know how closely you followed our election but believe it or not we had a VP candidate even more ignorant and vile than Bush. Sarah Palin.
And 25% of American's supported her. Shocking and unbelievable.
The facts are that we have have a certain percentage of our population that refuses to think, were raised Republican, and refuse to question anything a Republican says or does. They would vote for Adolf Hitler if he had an R beside his name.
America's biggest enemy is ignorance. And it has taken over the Republican party. Thank God enough people saw the the light and voted a capmetent, honorable, and intelligent man into the White House.
We are very happy about it. And 84% of Americans are supportive of Obama.
The other 16% post here.

LOL...notice how the screaming jharp attempts to slander Sarah Palin, again through innuendo without a bit of fact.
Meanwhile, the screaming jharp supports as "excellent" corrupt and racist politicians who cheat on their taxes, steal from charities to pay their massive salaries, and lie about it.

Yep -- mainly to point out how leftists like yourself who throw screaming fits about Bush had nothing to say about Saddam Hussein.
"The world need to see honesty!"
Such as the "honesty" exercised by the UN in the oil-for-food bribery scandal and its coverups and support of Saddam?
"Then you follow the law we agreed on"

No, it is not normal. Normal people would have shut their mouths and had a little respect. On second thought, it is normal behavior for a leftist like you. Now, take a hike, troll! We already have enough trolls to fill Dan's quota.
As for attempting to put Bush on trial for torture, I sincerely hope and pray that the Democratics do just that.

Old bruno is pretty funny. He links to a UN official who is demanding the prosecution of Bush all the while his fellow UN officials are being caught with kiddie porn, and covering up torture and abuse of children all over the world committed by UN officials and "peacekeeping" troops.
Bruno, you just got clubbed with the hypocrisy cluebat. Could there be a more vile, corrupt organization than the UN? The answer is no. Bruno, go away...far away...and contemplate your ignorance and stupidity.

Lehman brothers went bankrupt because of the Credit Default Swap industry as well as the mortgage crisis. Its bankruptcy along with the CDS industry allowed the failure of Lehman to spread to AIG. And in turn it continued to spread.
Conservative bloggers really know so little about the world, it's pretty amazing.

By the way, LOL, you forgot to clarify that at the time of the photo, Iraq was at war with Iran, Iran which not log before had taken about 100 Americans hostage and held then for about a year. So what's your point.
Incidentally, when the new Pres speaks personally with Ahmadinejad, as he seems eager to do, or send he Hillery or whoever, I would not be surprised to see a photo of the event like the one you have presented here.

"Let me also clear the air about who has supported Saddam Hussein in the past"
Hmmm, LOL....if that's the case, why did Rumsfeld push so hard to get rid of him?
Furthermore, given that your Obama Party insists that Saddam did nothing wrong, that he wasn't torturing, committing genocide, or anything of the sort, why would it be a bad thing for Rumsfeld to be pictured with Saddam? Can you answer why you considered Saddam to be so awful that you tried to smear Rumsfeld with him, but then why your Obama Party resolutely opposed any attempts to get rid of Saddam?
In addition, when it comes to Kos, we should remember that Kos fully supports and endorses hate speech, violence, and vandalism being practiced against our troops, just like the Obama Party does.
