Blago is starting to look like Obama's crazy uncle who stopped in for the Holidays and is now refusing to leave. Let's see - did his Senate appointee Burris raise money for Blago, along with not being able to win in several primaries? Check!
Is lily white Harry Reid poised to reject a black man for the Senate? Check!
Brushing aside charges that he tried to sell Illinois' vacant U.S. Senate seat, Gov. Rod Blagojevich appointed former Illinois Attorney General Roland Burris to the post today in defiance of Senate leaders who said they would not admit anyone he selected.
As truly a pathetic statement on corruption in government this whole thing is, they also say that the entertainment industry thrives during economic hard times. And it looks as if the Democrats are determined to provide as much of it as they can during the years directly ahead.
More popcorn, please!!

As far as I can tell Blago has little to no support. And the "democrats" who wield the power have denounced him and are in the process of removing him from office.
I understand that after massive losses the past two years you have very little to celebrate. But this is just that, very little, and the democrats are handling it beautifully.

And JHARP is like Baghdad Bob.

To top off the most criminal infected election in the history of the country we have a 'democrat' governor giving a senate seat to someone who donated over $15K to him and as a reward the 'democrat' governor gave his lackie hundreds of thousands of dollars in state contracts. I think Blago got screwed, he didn't get 5% of the state money kicked back to him, that is unless it was under the table.
Looks like Queen Nancy's promise to drain of the corruption swamp is on hold. As usual it's hard to drain the swamp when you are up to your a** in aligators and you're the momma aligator and neck deep in the corruption.

Here's classic comedy
"The seat should be denied
‘cause it seems that Blago lied;
And ‘til truth’s print is painted,
This appointment will be tainted.
But back to Rush:
This is a matter of national importance. There are no African- Americans in the Senate, and I don't think that anyone -- any U.S. senator, who's sitting in the Senate, right now, wants to go on record to deny one African-American for being seated in the U.S. Senate. I don't think they want to go on record doing that. And so, I intend to take that argument to the Congressional Black Caucus. I intend to take that argument to the senators. I intend to start with our own senator, Durbin, who's a friend of mine, and I'm sure that he will stand ready to be reasoned with. Thank you.
Did you catch that? God forbid any senator “go on record to deny one African-American” a senate seat.
Why?
Not because Burris is a man of integrity, which Rush says he is.
Not because he’s a man of experience, for which Rush also praises him.
But because he’s African-American.
Plan and simple.
Unbelievable.
If that’s not race-based politics, I don’t know what is."

There are refusing to seat Blago's choice.
It has nothing to do with anyone's race. Jackass.
Good grief. The wingnuts have really lost their minds.

The wingnuts are in the Senate. They are required by law to seat anyone Blago appoints. See McCormack v. Powell.
Also, the IL Sec St is required by law to certify the appointment.

My my, Harpo, you had a bad case of cranky biscuits yesterday. But this should cheer you up. It is more bad press for socialized medicine:

Thanks Fred.
I'm against socialized medicine and I see you still don't even understand what it is.

Gee Steve P. (aka Harpo), I am under the impression that socialized medicine is the provision of health care directly or through insurance programs paid for by all taxpayers rather than by the persons who are buying the health service. Am I mistaken in this view?
