I don't understand why there's so much opposition to Caroline Kennedy for the NY Senate seat. From reading the Newsbuster's item linked below, she has a sense of entitlement, doesn't know the issues and generally works about two hours a week.
Seriously, what more could you ask for? It's almost as if she's already been there for years.
And there's no crony-ism, or media bias in Andrea Mitchell defending her. She's just doing her best "Leave Caroline Alone!!
Finally, when you have an alleged journalist like Mitchell apparently cavorting with a Kennedy well before Caroline woke up and decided she craved a Senate seat, it tells you how broken are portions of our celebrity news media. Obviously Mitchell would never be able to report objectively on Kennedy. But don't worry, I'm sure she'd assure us that her professional ethics wouldn't let a friendship get in her way - assuming she can find her ethics, as they aren't present at the link.
Sad all around.

During the two years Caroline Kennedy worked as a fundraiser and goodwill ambassador for New York City's schools chancellor, Joel Klein, co-workers would frequently drift by her workspace for a glimpse of the department’s most famous $1-a-year employee.
As often as not, they were greeted by an empty chair.
