Interesting that this AP Byline strike hasn't been widely reported, no? This below is via AFP. But the real kicker is that while the journalists are busy writing about the collapse of the Global economy, or the newspaper industry looking like it's going away, all in times so bad we need a new, New Deal - they went to the table asking for a 10% raise. I guess they don't believe the news they've been reading via the AP.
The Guild said it had opened with a 10 percent wage increase proposal, "but has indicated flexibility at the bargaining table."
Besides withholding bylines from stories and photographs, the Guild said some employees "planned to withhold use of their personal vehicles, cellphones, and other equipment, while others were 'working to rule.'"
The Guild said the protest began Sunday and is "set to end later this week."

I guess journalists withholding their by-lines would be significant, but only if the rest of us gave a s***. Which we don't.

Isn't an AP reporter withholding his/her byline sort of like a medieval arab withholding a rock after relieving himself? Not much point. Both products are still crap with or without a name.
