Update: Sorry about that, I Googled "Reagan's commandment" for a link and saw 13th below at The Examiner and didn't think to question it. It was the 11th. So many commandments, so little time. I apologize.
This is mostly sad, really, especially as McCain welcomed what conservative support he could get during the campaign and in his own words proclaimed himself a "Reagan Foot Soldier" time and again. And what was Reagan's well known 11th commandment?
Ronald Reagan had a wonderful 13th Commandment - Thou Shalt Speak No Evil of a Fellow Republican. Reagan succeeded because he united the three major wings of the GOP, the defense conservatives whose primary concerns were with defeating international communism, economic conservatives who focused mainly on preserving free markets and social conservatives for whom the defense of traditional values such as life and marriage were preiminent(sic).
Contrasted with that, unfortunately, this headline below says about all you need to know about John McCain at the end of an already too long political career. Maverick? Nah. He simply climbed on the latest, most popular bus to get him where he evidently wants to go. I'm not even sure he'll win Arizona if he does run, again. And if he is challenged in any primary, he's likely toast. It's a shame, really. But I think he was pretty much exposed during the Fall's campaign.

Some of us expected this kind of thing from him. I said that who ever won, there'd be a demonrat in the whitehouse. So better he betray his "constituents" from second place than from first. Surely there's a decent pasture in Arizona for an old war horse.

I'd call him a bonehead and be done with it but actually I think the guy is emotionaly disturbed. With each passing day I'm a little more glad he didn't win.

That was the 11th Commandment, not 13th. There are ten Commandments (actually "words") - Ronald reagan half-jokingly added an 11th.
Next you'll be saying that there are 57 or 68 states,

This surprises me none at all. It's barely worth mentioning, its so utterly expected.

Rush L. was right. McCain was the MSM candidate for the Repub ticket. This half-dead fossil will keep erupting like Jimmy Carter from time to time uttering stupendous stupidities and leaving those who voted for this moron scratching their heads.
It's clear that this idiot likes the approval of the MSM and will debase himself absolutely until he gets it. I used to think this jellyfish had a backbone!

I didn't pick a number, Sammy. I went with what was at the Examiner when searching out Reagan's comamndment never stopping to think they'd have that wrong Geesh.I just researched it deeper and see it is the 11th. Updating now - thanks.

And, just what is wrong with some constructive criticism from within your own party? If the GOP hadn't been filled with a ton of yes-men and yes-women, maybe we would have avoided some of the disastrous policies of the last 8 years. Instead, we got people like Colin Powell and Scott McClelland who come out as critics years after they left their posts, rather than in timely fashion when it could have really mattered had they spoken up.
You know what other group of people subscribe to Reagan's 11th commandment, who never publicly criticize each other for their actions? Muslims. When's the last time you saw an Islamic country criticize Islamo-terrorists? Ironic that the GOP and Muslims would have that in common.
