Arnold must have a bigger mess on his hands in California than I imagined. Why else would they have sold Los Angeles to the Asians?
Actually the trip has been cool - a bit hectic. Had an opportunity to actually drive in the infamous LA rush hour today. Would have gone without a hitch except for one overturned vehicle in the road in front of me.
I haven't had time to check up on the blogs - not even the news, much.
Kind of a nice break. Back in the saddle, soon, though. Returning tomorrow - late, I believe.
Going to grab some dinner and try and post later - only 6 PM here.

On First Day of Recount, Franken Gains Net of 43 Votes on Coleman

SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO, WHO CARES ? Coleman will win in the end.

Hi W,
I care. I think Coleman is an extraordinary horses ass. And I'm sure you feel the same about Franken.
As a matter of fact these two candidates pretty much exemplify the difference in the two parties. Don't see how the state can differ so much in Obama votes vs. Franken votes. Go figure. Maybe you guys are right that you didn't run a Presidential candidate that was enough of a hard core right winger.
And FYI. It is far from over. Far.
Intrade.com has it 64% Franken 36% Coleman.
Maybe mark l can show some more of his statistical analysis prowess and explain things. I wonder. Since mark l been wrong on everything does this increases his chances of picking this one right?
mark l?

Franken is a horse's ass....only another ass like jharp would want this man to represent his state....actually, not his state, in the senate.
Dude, there are a lot of reasons that we think you are a fool, but your support of Al Franken takes the cake.
Do you wonder why the stock market is in the tank??? Forget intrade...the world is speaking...they hate the idea of an obama/biden/pelosi/reid/frank/dodd..and now, God forbid, franken leadership.
Just ask al qaeda.

I guess our enemies are not going to just roll over and let the master barry stroke all of their troubles away.

"Do you wonder why the stock market is in the tank?"
I think about it a lot but don't really give a damn.
And it ain't got nothin to do with the election results. Please Mr. ET explain to me how Obama has destroyed GM and Ford two months before he takes office. And then move on to how he caused the housing and credit crises.
And I happen to think Franken is going to win. Albeit really is a tossup.

To be clear.
"Do you wonder why the stock market is in the tank?"
I think about it a lot but don't really give a damn (that it's in the tank).

"Anyone" that would want Al Franken in the senate is lacking something upstairs.
He failed at comedy and he would fail even worse at the senate.
What an idiot !
The damn Unions have destroyed FORD, CHRYSLER, AND GM.
They need to be thrown under the damn bus!
Get rid on the Unions in this country and we would be a hell of a lot better off. I do not buy anything that the Unions are asociated with.
Dems of course will have no part of that as the Unions are in "the tank with the dems".
They give so much to the dems campaigns out of all those Union dues they collect from all the Union members whether the person is a dem or not. How nice is that. Screw all Unions. The downfall of all good companies in the USA. AND PEOPLE WONDER "Why" so many jobs are going overseas. LOL
People like PELOSI, FRANKS, DODD, REID, BIDEN, ALL SCREWED UP THE OVERSITE AND ENCOURAGED AND PRACTICALLY DEMANDED THAT BANKS GIVE PEOPLE HOME LOANS WHETHER THEY HAD PROOF OF INCOME OR NOT JUST SO THEY COULD BUY A HOME. SORRY LOONS, ALL OF THEM !

"--- And then move on to how he caused the housing and credit crises. ---"
Actually, Obama did have some connection to the unravelling of the housing & credit crises during his tenure as Senator, albeit relatively small. But I guess that's old news and don't matter now much that he'll be in the catbird seat for the next few years.
"--- Al Franken ---"
... a bitter, failed, (former) cokehead comic.

Dan, Sounds like China town moved south from San Fran or it just expanded.
Hope you enjoyed yourself.
How's "LA INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT" where the big jet engine roar... doing these days ?
It's been a long time since I was there.
Saw Arnold on TV at the car show interviewing w/ the News Media.
Have a safe trip back !

Totally false, WBPE. The unions and the incredibly inept string of managements at all these companies heralded in their own downfall. If there are many Democrats who believe the unions aren't at least 50% responsible, they should have their collective heads examined. Just as if there are any Republicans who believe that the management of these companies aren't responsible either, they should have their collective heads examined, too.
You, who thinks W is the best president ever, I have no doubt you think these are just brilliant management teams that are blameless. Why not have them become a case study at Harvard Business School so their exemplary judgments can be held for all future entrepreneus to study of what to do to run a company to the top of the heap?
