Ed at Hot Air uses a video from 2003 to suggest Obama's truer definition of the middle class might end at about 70k per year.
What baffles me is why we are even playing this game to try and suggest that Obama's tax increases and tax give backs won't both make their way well down the income brackets. It suggests people are actually believing the promises a politician is making from the campaign stump. We all know damned well what is going to happen, we've seen it before.
After about 90 or so days in office Obama would inform us that after talking with the guys at OMB and wherever else ... well, geez folks, things are just that much worse than it seemed. How was I to know, after all? Who me? Don't you remember, I'm the guy who didn't know anything back when I was on that campaign stump.
That alleged tax relief 95% of Americans were to enjoy? Turns out it isn't going to be so enjoyable after all, not if you make, oh 45, or 55, or 65k. I mean, you're doing alright at that level, don't you think?
Any give backs will only be given to the lowest of brackets that pay no real income tax as it stands and Washington will grab up every buck it can in order to expand itself. Just read his plan.
And they know precisely where the bulk of that money resides. It isn't with demonic millionaires, whose capital is probably already fleeing to safe havens and will only pick up speed after election day if Obama wins. When Democrats demand that you show them the money, it is always the middle class that has to pony it up. And he'll likely do it sooner, as opposed to later, in hopes the anger goes away enough four years from now because the economy is beginning to turn around.
We might as well stop playing games with it and present it accurately. Because very few doubt that's actually the way it's going to be. I couldn't care less what any politician running for office says he or she might do right now. It's hard to find one that ever told the truth while in campaign mode. And Obama is far from the exception to that rule.

More evidence that the internet supporters of Obama are...well, nuts.
The Anatomy of a Smear
By Zachary Roth - November 1, 2008, 11:40AM
Here's how the right's big eleventh-hour smear on Obama was carried out.
This idiot who writes at TPM Muckracker says the fact that Obama has a sister of his daddy's living illegally in Boston is a smear. Since when is a published fact a smear? They are so accustomed to misusing the English language that they don't even notice when they are doing it in an absurd fashion anymore.
"n.1. A mark made by smearing; a spot or blot.
2. A substance to be spread on a surface.
3. Biology A sample, as of blood or bacterial cells, spread on a slide for microscopic examination or on the surface of a culture medium.
4.
a. Vilification or slander.
b. A vilifying or slanderous remark."

ROSE: I don't know what Barack Obama's worldview is.
BROKAW: No, I don't, either.
ROSE: I don't know how he really sees where China is.
BROKAW: We don't know a lot about Barack Obama and the universe of his thinking about foreign policy.
ROSE: I don't really know. And do we know anything about the people who are advising him?
BROKAW: Yeah, it's an interesting question.
ROSE: He is principally known through his autobiography and through very aspirational (sic) speeches.
BROKAW: Two of them! I don't know what books he's read.
ROSE: What do we know about the heroes of Barack Obama?
BROKAW: There's a lot about him we don't know.

For someone who has actually accomplished nothing to blithely talk about taking away what has been earned by those who have accomplished something, and give it to whomever he chooses in the name of "spreading the wealth," is the kind of casual arrogance that has led to many economic catastrophes in many countries.
The equally casual ease with which Barack Obama has talked about appointing judges on the basis of their empathies with various segments of the population makes a mockery of the very concept of law.

“The equally casual ease with which Barack Obama has talked about appointing judges on the basis of their empathies with various segments of the population makes a mockery of the very concept of law.”
This from a supposed lawyer and President of the Harvard Law Review!
Every time Obama opens his mouth out comes something no thinking person would conceive or utter. Couple that with the complete nonsense that his South Park sidekick comes up with and we have the makings of an absurd sitcom. It is as if Judge Judy and World Wide Wrestling were combined with the Dating Game. Something for every drooling idiot Democrat around.

Even though Americans are depressed and se that what you have believed in is falling apart and that the dept goes to heaven when your life-situation goes to hell, you have a lot to be proud about. Even you Republicans. Take for example the republican Henry Ford – who invented the car. According to Wikingpedia -
“Henry Ford was a pioneer of "welfare capitalism" designed to improve the lot of his workers and especially to reduce the heavy turnover that had many departments hiring 300 men per year to fill 100 slots. Efficiency meant hiring and keeping the best workers.
Ford announced his $5-per-day program on January 5, 1914. The revolutionary program called for a raise in minimum daily pay from $2.34 to $5 for qualifying workers. It also set a new, reduced workweek, although the details vary in different accounts. Ford and Crowther in 1922 described it as six 8-hour days, giving a 48-hour week,[15] while in 1926 they described it as five 8-hour days, giving a 40-hour week.[16] (Apparently the program started with Saturdays as workdays and sometime later made them days off.) Ford says that with this voluntary change, labor turnover in his plants went from huge to so small that he stopped bothering to measure it.[17]
When Ford started the 40-hour work week and a minimum wage he was criticized by other industrialists and by Wall Street. He proved, however, that paying people more would enable Ford workers to afford the cars they were producing and be good for the economy. Ford explained the change in part of the "Wages" chapter of My Life and Work.[18] He labeled the increased compensation as profit-sharing rather than wages.”
He liked Hitler to (like most Republicans at the time), but forget about that for now.
If you had only followed up with his ideas you would have been better of today. But do not worry if you do really badly, there are many social able people in the world, and we will help you if you need it badly. Just like we were ready to help, when you struggled with Katrina etc. We love you Americans, even if we do not understand why you treat yourself so badly with:
- Low income
- No vacations (or hardly any)
- No healthcare for children if parent are not taking care
- The list is long
I think you will have to learn this one the hard way, I do not think anyone can talk you into it. Go ahead elect the very old man. We will take care of you when you go down the drain for four more years. When I say we – I do not only mean the Norwegians, but the whole western civilization.
We will only ask you to do one thing. DO NOT BELIEVE YOUR SYSTEM IS BETTER – IT IS NOT. And do not believe you have greater freedom - you do not!

“We will only ask you to do one thing. DO NOT BELIEVE YOUR SYSTEM IS BETTER – IT IS NOT. And do not believe you have greater freedom - you do not”
Ah…words of wisdom from the fiords. Actually, our system is better. It started a revolution in old Europe when we forged our nation; before that you were hide bound in social classes and aristocracy. And of course, twice in the last century we had to bail you out of wars of your own making. The fundamental difference between us and all of you on the other side of the “pond” is this: We believe in Freedom first and equality second. You believe in Equality first and freedom second. That’s why you are Socialists and we are not…except for some Democrats. But don’t worry we know how to take care of them. And by the way, the Finns have a greater ideal of what is what than any of you do in Norway.

Four times more crime in Oslo than New York
The crime rate in Oslo has been growing at an alarming rate and recent statistics show the Norwegian capital had 20 percent more robberies last year than in 2006.

While crime in the rest of Norway has been going down, it has been quite another situation in Oslo, where personal and automobile thefts increased markedly last year.
There were 10,600 crimes reported in public places in 2007, up from 8,000 a year earlier, writes Norwegian daily newspaper Dagbladet.
Oslo had the highest rate per person in Scandinavia in terms of reported crimes, with 90 reported crimes per 1,000.

"Even though Americans are depressed "
Hey Bluto go screw yourself!
Just how long did it take for the Nazi's to overrun your pussy little country anyway?
You sound like your grandfather was in the Rikshird and your father a little Unghird hitler youth! Hell your uncle was probally Quisling himself.
For a pussy country that rolled over like little bitches to become a puppet state of the nazi's you have no room to preach to the greatest country the earth has ever known!
The only thing depressing is having to listen to a half-witted troll like you preach to the same country that would step in to stop your country from being overun yet again!
Unlike your forefathers we don't believe in losing our wars and allowing the invaders to become our puppet masters.

Rather fascinating that the mental giants voting for Obama can't figure out that Obama is going to tax large corporations (well except for those that are bankrupt already). In return these corporations will lay off people. That probably doesn't bother those without jobs that never worked a day in their life. But what WILL bother them when they finally catch up is that the corporations will raise their prices and you and I and all the idiot Obama voters will then be paying the corporations' taxes for them.
Punitive taxes don't work.

If Bailout Plan Is Too Socialistic, Just Wait For Obama Leviathan

The Audacity Of Socialism
Barack Obama has styled himself a centrist, but does his record support that claim?
In this series, we examine Senator Obama's past, his voting record and the people who've served as his advisers and mentors over the years. We'll show how the facts of Obama's actions and associations reveal a far more left-leaning tilt to his background — and to his politics.

"We believe in Freedom first and equality second. You believe in Equality first and freedom second."
Justice - is very important in Europe.
Democracy - is very important
We do not believe in Equalite! (For example, we want smart people studying in our universities, not "children of rich people", we want sick people to be treated in hospitals not "ugly rich people")
Freedom is very important, but we feel it is not a day to day theme anymore.
But how do you define freedom?
For me freedom is:
- the freedom of speech
- the freedom of voting in a democracy
- (for children) the freedom of being taken care of if you do not have parents who ensure you
- the freedom of believe in what I want
- the freedom of having money and time to do a lot of what I like (working, fishing, skiing, hunting, traveling etc.)
- freedom to study and get education (even if my parents cannot support)
Tee freedom in the US is more what vi call egoism and selfishness in Europe. It is the freedom of not helping other people. For example, the freedom of not helping uninsured children or fellow citizens in poverty.
The American democracy is also not very well functioning either, but of course you know that yourself.

Dear Mr. Lacksavagina,
I am a little bit concerned about your authenticity as a Norgi. Take this for example: "...is more what vi call egoism..." Vi? Did you say vi? Did you say "what"? Why not vhat"? Vhy that is just what an American vould say, as in our national anthem titled "Oh say can vi si". I am beginning to believe, as some others are tuu, that you might be pulling our skis, as vi say over hear.
Take care, sir, take care. You know, oogahboogha.
Your affectionate friend, Fred

Thanks for diverting the attention to my spelling abilities! Typical American, I must say.
Vi(no)=We(eng). You are welcome. I just taught you a Norwegian word. In Norwegian we do not use W, but we have three more vocals. It’s a old language and many words in English origins from Norwegian. Door, Threshold, York etc.
But how do you define freedom Fred Beloit?
For me freedom is:
- the freedom of speech
- the freedom of voting in a democracy
- (for children) the freedom of being taken care of if you do not have parents who ensure you
- the freedom of believe in what I want
- the freedom of having money and time to do a lot of what I like (working, fishing, skiing, hunting, traveling etc.)
- freedom to study and get education (even if my parents cannot support)
- freedom from stupid leaders who get their position because their parent pay a lot of money instead of letting them competing with their abilities.
The "freedom" in the US is more what vi call egoism and selfishness in Europe. It is the freedom of not helping other people. For example, the freedom of not helping uninsured children or fellow citizens in poverty.

Hey Bruno the brute, You take care of things in your country and Americans will take care of things in our country.
Stick your nose some place else, not in America, we don't need your opinion.
Posted by: WBestPresidentEver | Sunday, November 02, 2008 at 02:22 PM
Dear Mr. Lacksavagina, Thank you so much for the language lesson and for the lesson in what freedom, egoism, selfishness and not helping others mean. But I must confess I am having a little trouble with your logic. May I resort to a syllogism (do you have those in Norway?) or two?
No forced payments are free payments.
Taxes are forced payments.
Ergo, taxes are not free payments.
All charitable payments are gifts.
No taxes are gifts.
No taxes are charitable payments.
Forcing another to help still another is involuntary servitude.
Involuntary servitude is not free servitude.
Forcing another to help still another is not free servitude.
Are you beginning to get the idea, sir? Is the light beginning to dawn? If you force me to give to another, I am not free to give to that other.
And there is an additional problem. Who decides who will give and who will receive?
Selfishness and egoism have nothing to do with it. On the contrary your egoism and selfishness wish me to bend to your will, pay what you ask, and pay to someone you choose. There is no freedom involved either.
Most respectfully submitted for your emotional consideration (since your mind doesn't seem to be engaged in this issue), yours,
Fred
