I’m in Honolulu and yesterday’s paper (on the website) indicated that she died of cancer and her death was attended by a physician so there would be no need for a health examiner.

This is all so odd and should be pretty straightforward. BUT - I thought she had fallen and broken her hip. And since when does a physician attend the death of an elderly cancer patient in a run-down two bedroom apartment in a not-so-nice part of town?

I’m stunned that even the death of his “Toot” brings about the same kind of mystery as everything else in his life. I pray this woman can now truly rest in peace - she so deserves it!
