I'll be posting some but I have to get ready for a short trip - heading out to the LA Auto Show for a couple of days.
In the meantime, check out Memeorandum for the latest on the blogs.
These are interesting times, to say the least. But the real action starts after January. No point in fretting and fuming too much before the REAL fun begins, right?
It is going to be extremely important to keep up the good fight in the two years just ahead. How we navigate the current times could dictate the future of America for years, if not decades.
If we don't make sound arguments against the sort of touchy-feely government run collectivism I suspect Obama has at the root of his convictions, it will fall to another generation to try and restore America's traditional sense of indivdual liberty, free markets and strength abroad.
We can't let that sort of soft-headedness take hold in America for the immediate future. It will be even more difficult to reverse the trend if that happens.
From email - haven't had time to look into it:
Daily Kos has thrown its weight behind the liberal entry in the 2008 Blogging Scholarship Award, hugely upsetting the balance of this voter-awarded $10,000 contest.
I'm a conservative blogger also in the running, but I've dropped down to third place now that DailyKos is swamping the vote (which ends this Thursday).
Could you please ask your readers to vote for me ("Thomas Peters", at the top of the list) and support a conservative voice in the finals? It's very simple - the student with the most votes, wins. So spread the word around!
Thank so much.More about me:
I'm a conservative student blogger (23) in Washington, DC. My blog, American Papist, began in 2005. Four thousand posts later, it is one of the largest Catholic blogs in the world. I focus on Catholic involvement in American politics and culture. I extensively covered the 2008 election season from a Catholic perspective, providing exclusive content such as an interview (available here on YouTube) with one of the most well-known American Archbishops (Charles Chaput). I've won numerous blogging awards, including Best Political/Social Commentary in the 2008 Catholic Blog Awards. I have also appeared on (TV) CNN, BBC World News, The Today Show, MSNBC.com, (online/print) National Catholic Reporter, News Busters, Inside Catholic, Busted Halo, Huffington Post, National Catholic Register, etc.

Now see this is not the way to convince your fellow Americans that you should be allowed to marry or for that matter to do anything else for you in terms of special rights.:

They didn't allow others to demonstrate in "their" neighborhood.
