Well, I'm sure this one will please parents to no end. Geesh! Image of card at link.
A California school system refuses to say what action, if any, it will take after it received complaints about a kindergarten teacher who encouraged her students to sign "pledge cards" in support of gays.
During a celebration of National Ally Week, Tara Miller, a teacher at the Faith Ringgold School of Arts and Science in Hayward, Calif., passed out cards produced by the Gay, Lesbian and Straight Education Network to her class of kindergartners.
The cards asked signers to be "an ally" and to pledge to "not use anti-LGBT (lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender) language or slurs; intervene, when I feel I can, in situations where others are using anti-LGBT language or harassing other students and actively support safer schools efforts."
The school has acknowledged that the exercise was not appropriate for kindergartners.

Welcome to the Bay Area, home of Berkley and Code Pink, Botox Queen Pelosi and Deviant Central - San Francisco!
This region is responsible for a large number of the gay marriages this year in California since the law was overturned.

Using the school system to indoctrinate our kids is just what Ayers, Obama and the other "Community Organizers" that follow Alinsky and Marx are tought to do!

Driving through some parts of downtown SF is like taking a ride on the freak show express.
The only reason to go to the Bay Area is for Yoshi's Jazz Club's and to see the Niners and Giants!
Ah for the good old days when Montana was throwing to Rice! I had season tickets then, you know when we didn't suck!
Being a conservative in California is as lonely as a toothbrush in a trolls bathroom!

Actually it's extremely appropriate given that those same kids are likely bombarded with the use of such slurs. It has become commonplace for kids to refer to things as "gay". While it may not have hit the kindergarten set just yet I'd prefer to see kids started early on understand what is and isn't appropriate language to use.
When you hear a kid use a word like that challenge them to tell you what they mean. It will hel to expand their use of language instead of falling back on the simple.

Is this true?

Out of 300.000.000 people the best Republican VP is this Palin? She is even more fun than W?
Are you serious? You do not have better people than this in the US?
Posted by: Bruno Laksevaag | Sunday, November 02, 2008 at 07:44 AM
no we don't, Bruno. Most of them are fags. I think they learn it in school.

Yes, my nordic friend, it's true. The republicans revere stupidity. They think since most of them are dimwits their leaders should be too. They voted for a stammering, incompetent fool twice then they rejoice at the selection of a complete moron in Sarah Palin. To top things off, they revere a deadbeat loser with a wrench and a dream as their everyman.
I can't wait for Tuesday. It will mark the beginning of 20 years of complete irrelevance for the GOP.

Did Arnold really call Obama a "girlie man" or just skinny?

Dear Mr. Lacksavagina,
What a thrill it was to read another of your missives.
I have a little gift for you, if I may be so bold. It is a little book about how to solve the problems that afflict most nations, Norway least, to be sure, to be sure. Please accept it. It was written by some of our most energetic and consistent authors, who also have the distinction of being friends with many academic lights and a presidential candidate.
Try not to be put off by the inherent craziness of such a book. But read courageously on to find the wonderful nuggets of human kindness, understanding, logic, and love contained therein.

With confidence that this book will bring to you the peace and understanding you seek, I remain your faithful servant,
Fred.

Dan Reihl. Paragon of tolerance.

If our nation's kindergarteners aren't calling each other "gay" or "faggot" then the terrorists have won. Betcha this teacher's a lesbo. McCain/Palin '08!

Of course, what is kindergarten for but to begin instilling the understanding of unfree speech and political correctness into the clean-slate little minds of the future liberals?
Posted by: Fred Beloit | Sunday, November 02, 2008 at 01:54 PM
So speech that belittles others is "free" speech Fred? What next? Will it be ok to call someone the "N" word in school?
Posted by: Spartan112 | Sunday, November 02, 2008 at 02:39 PM
Actually, what liberal gays and lesbians support is best seen in this example.
http://xpress.sfsu.edu/archives/news/004352.html
Furthermore, we should be aware of what gay liberals consider "normal".
"Raising the age of consent is a veiled attempt to assert conservative moral values on youth, queer and youth-led groups told Senators today.
The Senate's legal affairs committee is studying a Harper government bill that would raise the age of consent from 14 to 16. It will almost certainly pass — no political party has opposed it — but queer and youth-led groups came out Feb 22 to insist on their sexual freedom.
The proposed changes will have a disproportionate impact on gays, said Richard Hudler of the Coalition for Lesbian and Gay Rights in Ontario.
"My first lover was 17 years older than me. And this is common [among gay people]," he said. "It is dangerous — considering the attitude toward sexual orientation in schools — for a young person to attempt to make sexual contact with a peer." "

Keep in mind that Spartan and other liberals think it perfectly normal for thirty-year-old men to be having sex with fourteen-year-old boys, and you understand why they want the sexualization process to start early.

"Keep in mind that Spartan and other liberals think it perfectly normal for thirty-year-old men to be having sex with fourteen-year-old boys, and you understand why they want the sexualization process to start early."
Straw man. Besides, isn't it GOP senators that think sex with young boys is normal?
I fail to see how keeping kids from using the word "gay" as an insult in anyway sexualizes them. I'm sure with all the perverted little thoughts running through your head you could enlighten me.

Nope, it's more on the order of Democrat Senatorial staffers and Democrat congresspersons.

And check out "Gerry Studds".

Again, still a straw man...what has any of that to do with the question at hand?
Posted by: Spartan112 | Sunday, November 02, 2008 at 06:08 PM
The relevance is twofold, Spartan.
First, it demonstrates that liberal gays and lesbians support sexualizing two-year-old children and think it is normal for thirty-year-old men to have sex with fourteen-year-old boys.
Second, given your argument:
"So speech that belittles others is "free" speech Fred?"
and the speech that gay and lesbian people and liberals like you support and endorse:
"A redneck retard mayor and governor of a hick state America can take."
http://www.riehlworldview.com/carnivorous_conservative/2008/11/is-obama-hungry-for-a-little-palin-love.html#comment-137414939
or this example of gay and lesbian "tolerance":
http://www.latimes.com/news/local/la-me-palineffigy28-2008oct28,0,541630.story
it should be obvious that neither of you care one whit about "speech that belittles others", given how readily you practice it yourself.
Posted by: North Dallas Thirty | Sunday, November 02, 2008 at 06:24 PM
Oh, and while we're at it, Spartan, here's a good example of gay and lesbian liberals making death threats against people they don't like.
http://radioequalizer.blogspot.com/2008/11/obama-supporter-kgo-libtalker-calls-for.html
Of course you support that; doing anything else would be "homophobic".

"First, it demonstrates that liberal gays and lesbians support sexualizing two-year-old children"
That's a bold claim, I guess I'll have to take your opinion as proof. As I've stated, none of this matters in regards to the original story which has nothing to do with sex whatsoever.

"That's a bold claim, I guess I'll have to take your opinion as proof."
No need; you can just take the source I linked.

Yippee. That still has nothing to do with the original issue. Why are you avoiding it ND? Is it because you know you are wrong?
Posted by: Spartan112 | Monday, November 03, 2008 at 07:17 AM
This tactic of using our children as political manniquins does not belong in our schools.
Even the 1st and 2nd graders' "No On Drugs" posters that crop up in our post office for a week every March give me a creepy feeling. The poor dears are just like the six and seven-year olds who were conducted by their teacher to sing her "Obama Will Change The World" song on camera: all these young'uns share being forced by adults to produce motivational art on topics that they are way too young to know anything about..., like "gayness."
Something ain't right wit dat.
