Obama's portion of the (still huge) undecided pool are backing off and shifting to McCain. Obama is, indeed, losing his mojo ;)

http://www.intrade.com/jsp/intrade/contractSearch/

Obama $88 wins $12

McCain $12 wins $88

Go for it. And don't forget to get your Christmas list sent to Santa Claus. The chances of a favorable outcome are about the same.

Ask Al Gore - popular vote don't mean s*** - it's the electoral count that gets you elected. And McCain has to have a perfect night to win. Yeah, it could happen. And I could win the lottery and be mega-millionaire next week.

Likelihood - close to zero.

Chuck Todd, if McCain wins all the toss ups he loses.

Todd: Well, it's a simple math problem that he's got. Heres our columns here. Im going to put all of the current tossup states in McCain's column and watch his number as it grows right up here. If you move all of these states over, Indiana, North Dakota, Missouri, Montana, North Carolina, Ohio, Florida, and Nevada -- you see the problem he's got. He's still at 252. 18 short. So what does that mean? If he pulls a Pennsylvania over, we see Obama goes down to 265, McCain gets his 273. Then you ask why New Hampshire? Thats the insurance policy. Nevada, a state that Obama right now has that narrow lead in, if that went to him, then McCain would need New Hampshire to get back over his 270. So it is the only path he's got left. They know this and that's why they had to figure out how to put Pennsylvania back in play. We don't know if it really is. We know he's spending a lot of time there and they had to figure out if New Hampshire, a state that's been incredibly kind to McCain's political career in the past, to see if it can resurrect him one more time.

Depression - recession!

Americans lose sleep over crisis http://tvnz.co.nz/view/page/536641/2237838 .

We feel with you. Imagine what Bush does to the productivity in the US when 270.000.000 americans do not sleep.

Most of you do not have vacations and many earn as little as $6.55/hour.

Perhaps you should impose a system where more worries are taken care of so you sleep better? Maybe lower tax on low income and increase minimum wages. Furthermore, lower the workload and increase vacation times.
This way more people would have money to spend and time to spend it! The same philosophy as the Republican Henry Ford had, and it worked for him. His worker started buying cars. But on the other hand you can get stuck with Palin, maybe lower sleephours increase depression, and leave people without money and time to spend it. Then do as Bush - ask them polite to shop for America. Good luck!

What's this? IDB/TIPP poll indicating lower classes are not buying into Obama's "redistribution of wealth" plan?

Upper - O 44%---M 51%---U 5%

Middle - O 44%---M 47%---U 9%

Working - O 56%---M 33%---U 11%

Lower - O 46%---M 43%---U 11%

Does this look familiar? Well, it looks like old harpie is plagiarizing again

Brokaw: And Chuck, what about voter turnout and especially the organization of the two campaigns getting their people to the polls?

Todd: Well, we're seeing a lot of the early voting, a lot of long lines that's made folks question whether Georgia, South Carolina could end up being much closer than people thought because of this surge among voters, particularly African-Americans. And of course we've watched everything that's been happening in Florida and North Carolina this weekend, Tom.

Brokaw: And why would John McCain be spending so much time in Pennsylvania and New Hampshire in the final weekend, Chuck?

Todd: Well, it's a simple math problem that he's got. Heres our columns here. Im going to put all of the current tossup states in McCain's column and watch his number as it grows right up here. If you move all of these states over, Indiana, North Dakota, Missouri, Montana, North Carolina, Ohio, Florida, and Nevada -- you see the problem he's got. He's still at 252. 18 short. So what does that mean? If he pulls a Pennsylvania over, we see Obama goes done to 265, McCain gets his 273. Then you ask why New Hampshire? Thats the insurance policy. Nevada, a state that Obama right now has that narrow lead in, if that went to him, then McCain would need New Hampshire to get back over his 270. So it is the only path he's got left. but tipp was waaay off in their 04 numbers?
right?

2pts, with 9pts undecided...obama has this thing all wrapped up. not.

"We feel with you. Imagine what Bush does to the productivity in the US when 270.000.000 americans do not sleep."

Nothing.

And notice this line:

"Norway, which is not an EU member, generates the most output per working hour, $37.99, a figure inflated by the country's billions of dollars in oil exports and high prices for goods at home."

Of course, the lesson is lost on Bruno, as we see in this statement.

"Maybe lower tax on low income and increase minimum wages. Furthermore, lower the workload and increase vacation times.

This way more people would have money to spend and time to spend it!"

Basic economics states that, when more money is available, the price of goods and services will rise, since people can afford to pay more for them. Furthermore, since it costs more to make goods and provide services, that price is passed onto the consumer.

Norwegians like Bruno are the economic and intellectual equivalent of children maintained by an indulgent parent. They honestly believe that, when the price of oil declines, their economy will not decline.

Chuck Todd, if McCain wins all the toss ups he loses.

Hey Lala,

I made it clear it was a direct quote from Chuck Todd. So up yours.

Why don't you post some more racist bigotry slurring the Albanias?

You're a racist and a jackass.

Such a sad, Long Island housewife. I wonder if her cop husband smacks her around or just ignores her and screws around instead? I'm guessing door number 2.

Semper Fi, South Shore patriot!!

"Basic economics states that, when more money is available, the price of goods and services will rise, since people can afford to pay more for them. Furthermore, since it costs more to make goods and provide services, that price is passed onto the consumer.
"

You believe that by paying a higher minimum wage, that will rise prises i the US?

That is NOT true.

It would be true in Norway, since we are on the edge of inflation.

The US on the other hand are on the edge of recession, and are abut to drag half the world down the drain. You need more spending my friend.

Sleep tight - http://www.reuters.com/article/healthNews/idUSTRE49Q7T720081027?feedType=RSS&feedName=healthNews

Doctor of Economics Lacksavagina says: "Basic economics states that, when more money is available, the price of goods and services will rise, since people can afford to pay more for them. Furthermore, since it costs more to make goods and provide services, that price is passed onto the consumer." We call this inflation I believe.

Well, sir, close enough for government work, this is the first, and so far the only, rational thing that I have read from you, my so-called Norgi friend. Let us apply this logic further. The government of the U.S. has plenty of money available, as witness the current bailouts. They can also always print more I guess or sell more bonds. If the government takes on health care, the cost of health care will rise to match the money available, will it not? The "customer" of health care won't care because they don't have to directly pay the cost. They will think, like benighted liberals everywhere, that health care or health care insurance is free.

No wonder inflation is a concern in Norway (see Zimbabwe).

"--- The US on the other hand are on the edge of recession, and are abut to drag half the world down the drain. You need more spending my friend. ---"

ANd with that, Mr. Lackadoodle exposes himself for the unwashed rube that he really is.

Unfettered SPENDING is what got our nation into this fix. What we should have done is imitate the example of the Asians - especially the Taiwanese and Japanese (and to a lesser extent, the Red Chinese on a personal/household level) and live BELOW our means, SAVING money.

But not too worry: America will learn her harsh lesson at the cost of her so-called status as a "superpower" in the next generation: The Millennials born in the past 10 or so years may resent their X'er parents and especially their Boomer grandparents... but they will become the Greatest Generation of the new century, re-learning the ancient values of thrift and economy as they scrimp and save every penny, denying themselves to rebuild their shattered lives, and possibly breathe life into the corpse Lady Liberty has become.
