Here we have it. The difference between left "thinking" and right thinking explained and examples presented. Here is an example presented:

"For example, the Right recognizes that childhood abstinence is a behavior that improves the child's chances for future success. To us it's a no-brainer that unwanted pregancies[sic], grisly abortions and being infected with sexually transmitted diseases makes less likely the child free to achieve as much with their lives as they would like. The Left, on the other hand, sees the promotion of the better behavior as a form of bigotry, calling it the work of "religious fanatics" or the "sexually repressed," and, in turn, work to rehabilitate the image of promiscuity in their movies, TV shows, schools and the legislatures they control. When this promotion of the destructive behaviors lead -- as they have and must -- to the undermining of the child's future success, the Democrat then seeks policies designed to lessen the suffering that they themselves induced.

So, where the Right Thinker promotes childhood and teenage abstinence (knowing full well that it won't work 100 percent of the time, as NOTHING works 100 percent of the time), the Democrat promotes promiscuity and then advances policies like easy and free abortions to mitigate the consequences of childhood and teenage promiscuity. Similarly, when their policies lead -- as they have and must -- to an epidemic of sexually transmitted diseases amongst the children of America (with fully one out of four young girls in New York City now infeccted[sic] with at least one or more STD) -- they then put forth policy that forceably[sic] injects ALL children with one vaccine or another to make less likely the chance of contracting one of the STDs that now run rampant."

Now that we have the homo dating site issue settled, I have a more important issue that needs attention. Our liberal friends chided all of us here about our willingness to serve in Iraq. Now that Barry has been elected, he wants to send our troops to the war in Afghanistan.

So here's your chance to take your own advice, and join the fight, liberals. It's time to put up or shut up. You will be nothing but a filthy hypocrite if you don't volunteer to fight in Barry's war.

"--- What, doesn't Second Life have steam baths, or public restrooms? ---"

Heh. From what I've read, Second Life is pretty much one giant virtual red-light district.

Lols.

"Whaaaaaa! Why do we have to serve coffee to black people? This is unfair!"
"Whaaaaaa! Why do we have to give women the same pay for the same job we give our male employees? This is unfair!"
"Whaaaaaa! My entire business model has been upended! I am now required to let two people of the same gender see each others profiles and correspond with each other via email!"

My god. How did the other twelve dozen dating sites survive? Maybe eHarmony should change their name to eOhNoTheGaysPutUsOutOfBusiness!

I'm just a little amazed that TK hasn't managed to blame this upturn on Blacks and Hispanics.

"The Left, on the other hand, sees the promotion of the better behavior as a form of bigotry, calling it the work of "religious fanatics" or the "sexually repressed," and, in turn, work to rehabilitate the image of promiscuity in their movies, TV shows, schools and the legislatures they control."

No, ding dong. "The left" sees abstinence only education for what it is: an abject failure propogated by moralizing nitwits who think they can convince kids not to be interested in sex. It's a laugably naive idea. That religious conservatives are in fact fanatics, sexually repressed, and rank hypocrites (see Ted Haggard, Larry Craig, David Vitter, et al), is immaterial to the question of whether or not abstinence only education actually works. The danger is that while you preening blowhards wag your fingers at reality, you also make it more difficult for kids to protect themselves when they engage in sexual activity, resulting in unwanted pregnancies and disease, which mercifully because of "personal responsibility", you don't have to deal with.

That's the real difference between wingers and non-wingers. Wingers care only about imposing their failed morality upon the rest of us - results be damned. Non-wingers care about what happens in real life as a result of the backward policies you fight to force upon us.

"So, where the Right Thinker promotes childhood and teenage abstinence (knowing full well that it won't work 100 percent of the time, as NOTHING works 100 percent of the time), the Democrat promotes promiscuity and then advances policies like easy and free abortions to mitigate the consequences of childhood and teenage promiscuity. "

Again, no, you lying turd. "The left" doesn't promote promiscuity. "The left" promotes the shocking notion that the laughable failure known as right wing dogma shouldn't be permitted to ruin the lives of those who don't chose to blindly follow it.

Fortunately, wingers are too out of touch and stupid to realize that their failed "ideas" have been rejected. They will still bark "center right country" as they continue to be relegated to Alabama, leaving the adults to hopefully find solutions to their numerous messes.

"I'm just a little amazed that TK hasn't managed to blame this upturn on Blacks and Hispanics."

It's not even noon on the east coast yet. TK hasn't even taken a shower yet, or busted out his first bottle of Boone's. Don't worry; Rush will tell him how to blame this on the evil dark people.

"Heh. From what I've read, Second Life is pretty much one giant virtual red-light district."

The Onion called. It wants its hilarious quote back.

"Leaving the adults to hopefully find solutions.."

We're wondering when the adults from the Left will show up? You two morons, Total and Llama, couldn't find a solution if it slapped you upside your dumb heads.

And yes, blacks and Hispanics were the deciding votes that put Prop 8 over the top. Hahahahahaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa! And you two morons can't even admit the truth. That blacks and Hispanics voted for Obama AND Prop 8.

I don't get the legality of eharmony caving...
unless it is purely a business decision, under the cover of 'the law made us do it'.

I am absolutely shocked that there was no gay/lesbian entrepeneurs that could produce a service of their own from which they could actually make money. It wouldn't have been hard to do, and it would have created a forum for a new 'business leader' emerging in the field of online dating.

Instead, a heterosexual christian group will be making money off of the inability of homosexuals to produce their own service, online. rotflmao...

just say eharmony cost of 250 dollars a year...

given prop 8's success, dating is pretty much as far as things will go...

just a million gay subscribers and they make 250 million dollars a year. It is absolutely hysterical to see the court grant them the right to give money to a christian based service...

I can see neil clark warren right now,

"Only please, Brer Fox, please don't throw me into the briar patch." (don't force me to take their money)

Some dipstick said: So here's your chance to take your own advice, and join the fight, liberals. It's time to put up or shut up. You will be nothing but a filthy hypocrite if you don't volunteer to fight in Barry's war.

Barry's war? Is that what you called Bush's debacle? barry's war? The desperation and terror coming from the right side is fun to watch. So now our wise blogger wants us to go fight a war we didn't choose, didn't need, didn't prepare for, illegal, immoral, didn't want. You are a twisted person sir. Really twisted. If you don't like the fact that we have elected a black man, then just say it already. Just say it! Otherwise STFU about Obama - until he is sworn in. Your king has left with the lowest approval rating in our history - lower than when Nixon resigned. Until 'Barry' gets to that place, salute him or just go away.

Absolutely, the government, through the courts, should force businesses to operate by their rules. Hopefully seeker will sue the state he lives in to be allowed to preach in adult bookstores.....oh wait, turn about wouldn't work.

"The company said that Warren was not giving interviews on the settlement. But attorney Theodore Olson, who issued a statement on the company’s behalf, made clear that it did not agree to offer gay matches willingly. “Even though we believed that the complaint resulted from an unfair characterization of our business,” Olson said, “we ultimately decided it was best to settle this case with the attorney general since litigation outcomes can be unpredictable.”

interesting that even though they sued eharmony, and won, the homosexuals will be refered to a completely different company..."compatiblepartners". The plaintiffs actually fought for the right to pay 250 bucks a year to company that, by its own actions, does not support the homosexual agenda. This is akin to a black man buying the kerosene, the wooden crosses, the rope, and the tree for the kkk...

The reason that Warren will not be available is that he will be too busy counting his money.

Oh, I beg to differ, Jimbo. You liberals, including Barry, have said many times that the war in Afghanistan is the right war, and that Pakistan should be invaded. You ought to get out more. And where in the hell did I say anything about not liking the fact that a black man was elected? I have many things I don't like about Obama, but his blackness, or lack thereof, doesn't enter into it. You white boys taking up for blacks is getting old. I think blacks are quite able to take care of themselves. Why don't you go kiss some gay ass? They need consoling, given the fact that blacks and Hispanics put Prop 8 over the top. They are even using the "N" word to describe blacks. Shameful.

"The reason that Warren will not be available is that he will be too busy counting his money."

Yeah Mark, another prefect example of greed overcoming conscience. I knew I wasn't alone in seeing through that.

Onion? Sorry, I don't read that virtual fish-wrapper.

Hope I didn't step on yer toes too hard if you are a Second-Lifer, lol...

willie-
It is a cash cow.

given that we are in the middle on an economic downturn, I give this christian based company a big thumbs up. I have zero doubt in my mind that they could have defended their right to continue to pick and choose their customers based on sexual preference, as the number one selling point is that they do 'discriminate' and pick and choose their clients based upon their own criteria.

So long as they don't try enforcing 'sexual orientation equality' in my strip bars all is good. The dating service itself was an inevitability. The fact that the money goes to a guy who is NEVER going to redirect his earnings to support same sex marriage, as opposed to someone who would be able to financially support such advocacy is just too rich.

Temp: "Oh, I beg to differ, Jimbo. You liberals, including Barry, have said many times that the war in Afghanistan is the right war, and that Pakistan should be invaded."

Absolutely right on the button, Temp. But it doesn't matter what they said. Everyone knows they were lying. It is the same with gas/oil prices. The price went up. They cried Bush did it. The price went down. Silence. They couldn't thank Bush because they know they are liars and just don't care if they are.

Since that rabid polecat Totally liked the article on top so much, I will enjoy providing more Totally's and Llamette's objective and dispassionate consideration:

"The left, seeing all judgment as prejudice (since anything you believe is tainted by your own circumstances such as skin color, nation of birth, religoin -- or lack thereof -- economic status, etc) believe the only way to eliminate the evils of bigotry is to never think at all. To the Modern Liberal, rational and moral thought is believed to be a hate crime. To them, "discriminating thought" is the evil of having discriminated. The Right, on the other hand, believes that discriminating and moral thought is, while clearly flawed, utterly essential and, in fact, the only way to make a better world."

Where does it end? Can I sue a Jewish singles club for not providing any non Jewish match options? What about a black singles club, can I sue them for not having any single white people to choose from? How about a vegetarian restaurant? Am I being discriminated against because I can't order steak? What about a gay only dating site, are they going to now to forced to pay for any heterosexual spin off sites to please non gays?

We've turned the word "discrimination" into a joke. It started out as meaning that people literally, legally could not do certain things, could not get certain jobs, could not go certain public places and it has morphed into nothing more than a tool to discriminate against anyone who is white or christian.

While you are chewing on that here is more for your maw.

"The Left, on the other hand, sees the insistence that one learn the language of the majority as a form of bigotry. Some have gone so far as to call it an attempt by the Right to commit "cultural genocide" of the immigrant. For this reason the Left works to undermine efforts to encourage the immigrant to learn the language of the majority, guaranteeing that they will be locked into minimum wage jobs, and then hop into action to mitigate the suffering of those they have forced to suffer by insisting upon a raise in the minimum wage.

It gets worse. Since the immigrant has rights, in order to satisfy these rights, the majority must learn the many, many languages of the immigrants. Voting documents must be printed up in hundreds of languages while police departments in every city and town must learn to speak Spanish (etc) in order to properly "Mirandize" suspected criminals. In other words, once again, the indiscriminateness of thought that is the defining trait of the Modern Liberal movement leads the Modern Liberal to create an Orwellian world where their subjects suffer, while a cultural genocide IS taking place -- against America and against our children."

Fred, your comments about the disconnect between cause and effect in the Left is pretty insightful. Several of us in my professional circle of risk managers have enjoyed exploring the conjecture about that cause/effect disconnect and its roots in both upper and lower class upbringings.

You have to wonder if there's a behavioral cause for the detachment of cause/effect that is so profound. Working with some trust fund children in my years, I've been amazed at their belief that outcomes can always be managed regardless of the inputs. You have to wonder if growing up rich, the consequence for smashing daddy's Lexus SUV being nothing more than a chewing-out and instantly another SUV appears and your driving rights restored after a day's suspension must have some powerful effect in developing that disconnect. The same has to go for the underclasses, for they continually vote for Liberals to solve all their problems and no matter how hard they vote and how much they support, their condition never changes. Again, detachment between cause/effect. Why work hard when you know any input still results in you being screwed?

It would seem that the middle class is the only environment that has enough experience with hard work resulting in success (generally) and laziness resulting in suffering to get this cause/effect relationship somewhat right. Now if we could only understand what causes the wingbats to be so completely inept at understanding strategy and abstract thought...

Bush could be TWICE as unpopular as he is right now and STILL be far more popular than our current DEMOCRATIC CONGRESS.
There is none so blind...

Anon, it's a waste of time to argue logic with these idiots on the Left. They are just too damn dumb to grasp it. That's what happens when you leave education to the government. Sooner or later, the lowest common demoninator is reached. And the braindead leftists posting here are the lowest.

"eSodomy?"

LOL Jim!

If I were writing the program that sorts out prospective "rump ranger" matches I would make sure to hook them up with the most obese, butt ugly, acne covered clients in their database. Maybe even some dog pound German Sheppard's for some beastiality interludes.

While their at it they should do some matches for some pedophiles to "hook up" with some young children.

Gotta love that whole "man love" thing!

"it's a waste of time to argue logic with these idiots on the Left."

Maybe you ought to listen instead of argue.

After those "on the left" have been right about everything from the Iraq war, health care, civil rights, tax cuts to the richest, Palin being an idiot, Bush being the worst president ever and actually challenging his policy.

The conservative right wingers, on the other hand, have been wrong about everything.

Hate to remind you templar but your group is now powerless. And it is so richly deserved.

Lord, lord, lord.

How exactly has the left been proven right about health care? Don't you need to wait to see what Barry does and what kind of results his health care plan actually gets before claiming victory here?

Tax cuts for the rich? Well, again, how exactly has the left been proven right? It is an economic fact that when you over tax productive parts of the economy, they cease to be productive. It's also a fact that the most leftist of governments, communist, have also proven to be the worst in terms of both economics and human rights.

The left was wrong about welfare, their idea of welfare destroyed the black family, created a permanent underclass, destroyed the inner city, fostered a culture of crime and promiscuity and oh yeah, hate of meanstream society. Nicely done.

The sexual revolution has given us the souless hook up, sky high divorce rates, serial monogamy, sexual transmitted diseases, a teen pregnancy rate that is the embarassment of the Western world, a society drenched in pornography and the objectification of women. Again, nice going.

The left was right about the Iraq War, and they are right about the 'war on drugs' as well, and mostly right about the environment.

But, I'd say that is a mixed bag at best and telling people they are now "powerless" and that they deserve to be powerless doesn't sound like CHANGE I CAN BELIEVE IN, it sounds like a vindictive bratty child who is going to take revenge on the people it thinks have been "oppressing" it.

I will caution you that you better wait and see what kind of harm or good Obama does on the economy before congratulating the left, because I guarantee you that bailouts for everyone will ruin this country once and for all and make the Bush presidency look like a decent caretaker afterall.

"How exactly has the left been proven right about health care?"

Hillary tried to fix what obviously needed fixed in 1992. Just who was it that shot it down? It's now 16 years later, trillions pissed away, and it's worse. The left was right and is right.

"Tax cuts for the rich? Well, again, how exactly has the left been proven right?"

They have nothing to help our econmoy and have created $5 trillion in deficits.

"The left was wrong about welfare"

Bill Clinton's administration did more to fix this problem than anyone in the past 40 years.

"because I guarantee you that bailouts for everyone will ruin this country"

I'm no more pro bailout than you. However I feel our economy is already ruined by W and company. Just think about the $1 trillion we pissed away in Iraq. It got us nothing.

"Hate to remind you templar but your group is now powerless."

Sorry harpie but it's only the weak who ever find themselves "powerless" which is what made the leftists so pitiful for the last 8 years. It brings tears to ones eyes to recall the whining and the saddness your crushed "hope for change" is already becoming. Far left is already gnashing their teeth because Obie wont be bringing the troops home by the first Wednesday in February. This is what happens to weaklings who place their power in the hands of government......Does give me cause to laugh though.

"Far left is already gnashing their teeth because Obie wont be bringing the troops home by the first Wednesday in February."

You must have drank that bottle of Md 20/20 yourself. The left is happy about developments in Iraq. No one thought it possible to bring the troops home in February. No one.

And I'm very happy about Obama's positions. Especially the one he has waffled on, health care. Seems he's going to adopt a little bit of the Hillary plan. Mandatory coverage. I just wish he'd go further and enact a single payer.

Again, Willie, it's useless to argue logic with a Leftist. And it gives me cause to laugh as well. You're funny, jharp, but not in a good way.

How's it going, Willie?

"The left is happy about the developments in Iraq."

Yeah, we won, ALL should be happy, but I doubt the left is. And we won with NO help from the left, that's for sure.

"Yeah, we won"

If it makes you happy calling it a win by all means go for it. The important thing is that it is over.

And I don't see how we got a damn thing out of it.

Well, well. Looks like all of the losers are still here! Enjoying the 'victory' in Iraq I see. How's the Bush Depression treating you? Quite the leader you have there. Best enjoy the last 2 months, because the party is fast coming to an end.

Remember - America is a center-right nation!! Hahahaha!!!

Temp: I get to go to bed each night and wake up a free man every morning, health (mine and the fam)is decent and if I had to I could find a job by noon tomorrow. Doesn't get any better! Gotta disagree about Iraq...we can leave tomorrow or in a hundred years and within 6 months those "people" would be strapping bombs to their own children and cutting each other's heads off. They are blood thirsty, backward savages and we should contain them to their own sand box...They aren't defeated, only subdued. Our boy Harpie doesn't seem to spend much time away from KOS kiddies and hasn't seen some of Obie's biggest supporters slamming him about saying he will do an orderly withdrawal from the sandbox. Some aren't happy about his "change we can believe in" DC insider cabinet picks either.........Where's Joe Plugs??????

Health care has not been fixed, you claiming the left was right about health care is as dumb as Bush claiming Mission Accomplished. You can't declare victory until you win something. If and when "universal health care" turns out to be cost effective, high quality care then you will have something to boast about. Right now you are boasting about nothing more than a promise.

Um, tax cuts didn't create the deficit, profligate spending is what created the deficit. The jury is still out, way out, on whether or not "taxing the rich" is going to turn out well or not. So, yet again, you are boasting about being right on something that doesn't exist.

YOu are also rewriting history on welfare reform, "the left" was hysterical over welfare reform, it was going to lead to starvation, homelessness, depredation unknown since the 30's, except of course, none of that happened, what happened was exactly what the adults knew would happen: millions of people got jobs who could have gotten jobs all along. It is also worth remembering that while Bill Clinton blabs now about welfare reform he signed it with a gun to his head because the Republicans had the votes to override a veto.

The economy was already on very shaky ground when Bush became president. The Clintons did exactly nothing to help with the long term stability of the country. How did NAFTA work out? Where are those hundreds of thousands of American jobs it was going to create? Never happened.

We started going down the wrong path when the country decided it was okay to completely dismantle the manufacturing sector and replace good, solid blue collar jobs with dead end service sector jobs, and both parties are responsible for that.

If you want to pick one person most responsible for the economic catastrophe, you need to point the finger at Allan Greenspan and nobody else.

Sure, I'd like that one trillion back that went into the Iraq war, I'd also like the $700 billion back that went to the banks and I would like the billions back that are going to the auto industry and the billions back that are going to go to a bunch of low life deadbeat dirtbags to "save" their homes which they don't deserve and never should have gotten loans for....

Our economy is absolutely ruined, but the government giving a blank check to every fool who wants one because he ran his business into the ground or spent his mortgage money on lottery tickets is not the answer, and that I fear is going to be Obama's answer for everything.

And one more thing, if you want to pick one single thing that has is and will continue to drag this country down it is the death of the meritocracy, and that my friend, is completely the doing of the left, who are now trying even to do away with any kind of objective tests at all levels of society, because, you know, certain special people don't do well on those tests so the tests have to do, because we've got to have a diverse, workforce with exactly the right proportion of special peoples, and the left doesn't care if everyone on the workforce is totally incompetant, as long as it has the right demographic mix.

Kudos, Anon, I couldn't have said it better, no, correction....there is no way I could have done half as good a job as you just did of eviscerating the idiots on the left. Thank you.

"How's the Bush Depression treating you?"

So far, so good. How about you?

"-- So far, so good. How about you? --"

Translation: "I've been raped in the ass, but I don't want to admit it."

What you don't seem to grasp is that not everyone who is worried about Obama was a Bush supporter. I wasn't, I am squarely in the camp that so far, Bush is hands down, the worst president ever.

However, that didn't blind me to the fact that 'change we can believe in' and 'yes we can' are better suited to the third grade classroom than the presidential campaign trail. I'm also not blind to the fact that Obama is not a centrist, or even close. He may chose to govern more like Clinton did, or he may really think he's the next Lincoln/FDR and try to create an entirely new, bigger, better welfare state. My bet is on the latter, and my further bet is that spells disaster for the country.

What a vulgar little girl that Pookie is; Kiss your mom with that mouth do ya?

"However, that didn't blind me to the fact that 'change we can believe in' and 'yes we can' are better suited to the third grade classroom than the presidential campaign trail."

Hey, those cliches worked for Jimmy the C....once. Don't you think Johnson should be in your list of great society proponents?

For fun and it is quite interesting for all of my right wing friends.

I find it fascinating. And it's going to decide a Senate race.

http://minnesota.publicradio.org/features/2008/11/19_challenged_ballots/

Gays have about 1 million sites devoted exclusively to their needs, wants and desires. Will they now have to create alternative sites for hetero's?

cannot wait to see the eHomo adds

This blog attracts left-wing morons the way rest stop bathrooms attract gay men looking for anonymous sex.

Seriously, what is your fascination with this site? Not that I'm complaining mind you. Everytime I find myself disenchanted with Republicans I appreciate any and all reminders that the left is composed of emotional infants. But geez. Don't you have anything better to do with your lives than to try taunting people who already think you're idiots and have it confirmed for them with every comment you post?

Chihuahua. An early bird got the worms.

"-- This blog attracts left-wing morons the way rest stop bathrooms attract gay men looking for anonymous sex. --"

Well, shit. I wouldn't know about the latter, but I'll take it from an expert. How are those re-election prospects looking Senator Craig?

"-- Seriously, what is your fascination with this site? --"

It's one part charity. Every site needs its trolls and every wingnut needs a splash of cold reality in his or her face. I consider this - in a way - a civic duty.

It's one part personal entertainment. Hearing Dan make rather dimwitted remarks about blacks, gays, and "liberals" (who range from Nancy Pelosi to David Frum) is - frankly - hilarious and entertaining. Even more so to come in to the comments section, point out the obvious (for instance, a dating website called eHomony probably wouldn't be about gays so much as about people who enjoy eating grits - http://dictionary.die.net/homony) then read the ensuing frothy raging backlash about how only a stupid liberal would resort to dictionary definitions in the face of rapier wit.

And it's one part "stick'n it to the liberal" but, you know, to conservatives. Because when you paint such a huge target on your foreheads, how do you not expect someone to come by with a bucket of spitballs?

"Don't you have anything better to do with your lives than to try taunting people who already think you're idiots and have it confirmed for them with every comment you post?"
Guess not because it just happened again (see above).
BTW, things must be getting tough in the Catastrophic Failure of the Main Systems business. Big Al is boosting his advertising in the face of growing doubts by shivering millions. From Al Gore's blog:

"A new study suggests the Mayan civilization might have collapsed due to environmental disasters:
"'These models suggest that as ecosystems were destroyed by mismanagement or were transformed by global climatic shifts, the depletion of agricultural and wild foods eventually contributed to the failure of the Maya sociopolitical system,' writes environmental archaeologist Kitty Emery of the Florida Museum of Natural History in the current Human Ecology journal."
As we move towards solving the climate crisis, we need to remember the consequences to civilizations that refused to take environmental concerns seriously."

I wonder if the Mayan descendants are paying attention. Oh, he means us? Sure sure sure.

The real issue isn't Dan's lack of wit, but whether or not it makes any reasonable sense to be able to sue a private company for not providing the exact service that any particular individual wants and whether that is "discrimination" in any kind of legal, moral or ethical sense.

I would say the answer is a resounding no. Its an example of the typical slippery slope argument, where we started with the anti discrimination laws on solid moral and ethical ground--refusing to hire a qualified person because of their race, ethnicity or gender--was wrong and counter productive...this was never really that strong from a purely legal standpoint, but almost everyone got on board because it seemed obvious and logical and moral. So a few legal definitions were enlarged, no harm no foul, or so we thought.

From there, we moved a slight bit down the slope to where a private business could no longer choose who they wanted to service, they had to service everyone who wanted service. This too, seems logical, from a business standpoint refusing to serve someone for random reasons of race or ethnicity is also counterproductive. But, on legal ground, we were on much more shaky ground, since if its a private business, owned by John Smith, exactly what business does the government have in telling John Smith who he can do work for? If he wants to restrict his clientele to old ladies or dwarfs or whomever, why shouldn't he really be able to do that? So, again, we muddied the water and decided that the greater good was serviced here because the majority of what we were looking at were mainstream businesses refusing to serve blacks who might not have any other option.

Then we moved on to private organizations and private clubs. Here the fabric of the original intent really began to fray. Private groups were forced to admit women, blacks, whomever under the same idea of non discrimination while at the same time a host of other public and private groups that were comprised of selective ethnicities and genders were allowed to flourish. This was the crazy crossroads, where we fell all the way down the slipperly slope.

Now, we're down at the bottom of the first mountain to a point where a business that was created to serve X need [dating of straight couples], has been forced to make a business move to service the needs of Y group [gay couples] even though there are any number of dating sites that already service this particular market, as well as servce many other niche dating markets like Jews, blacks, Christians, etc.

So, based on this decision, it doesn't seem much of a stretch that I can sue Neiman Marcus for failing to provide cheap clothes, it discriminates against the poor shopper, I can sue the veggie falafal stand for failing to provide a meat option for meat eaters, I can and someone should sue all of the niche dating services to make sure they are forced to spend their capital on expanding their business to serve ALL niches.

Idiotic beyond belief yet many will claim this is all about "rights" and "equality" which is a complete bastardization of the whole concept. If eharmony was the single only way that anyone could possibly meet an online date, there might be a weak case to be made. But since that isn't the case, the fact that the court didn't dismiss this idiots suit out of hand is just another sign of the failure of our society.
