I love it! Honestly, once you learn to stop taking American media seriously, it isn't hard to smile.
Let's really set the moonbat's heads on fire. Hell, I still like Nixon. Too bad he got caught acting more like a Kennedy. And Bush? History will sort the politics of the last eight-years. Unless of course Obama makes it illegal as the National-Socialist Democrat Party trys to lock it's iron fist around the throat of America and her educational system even more.
Bush leaving office more unpopular than Nixon
So far, Obama seems to be meeting the public's high expectations. Two-thirds of all Americans have a positive view of what he has done since he was elected president, and three-quarters think he will do a good job as president.
Obama meets high expectations? ROFLMAO Yeah, I always wanted a president who could apologize to a former First Lady, then put up a website and strip out all the content once someone pointed out what it said within a week of being elected.
Hell, if he gets any better, he may have to resign so he can join the American Idol tour where he belongs.
Sadly, today's weak notion of media has confused popularity with leadership. But then, that shouldn't be surprising considering it's a business that thrives on ratings and has left substance in a ditch by the side of the road.
Obama will get his chance to make a name for himself. For now, he's nothing but an image and a fairly transparent one at that.

It's a lot easier to be popular if you never make a hard decision.

Paula, have you never had to pick just the right dog?
Anybody else wonder if the Obies will do it in the Lincoln bedroom? These are the hard questions I want to know about.....

Can someone tell me what he has done since last Tuesday?
SHEEPLE!
Posted by: TISH | Monday, November 10, 2008 at 07:26 PM
Yeah, I liked Nixon a lot. He was a good man. Damn right. Yes it is too bad he got caught up in a bunch of BS.
And, President George W. Bush. Damn straight I like him...Always have and I always will and don't give a damn what anyone thinks about it. He is a decent and moral man. He never had a chance from day one as far as the left and the sorry low down good for nothing MSM were concerned. The people spoke and he won both the first election and the second but it never mattered to the left and the MSN. They disgust me more than words can say. I would get pleasure out of knocking a few of them on their butts.
I mean first there was AL WHORE GORE. DAMN ! This country would be in one hell of a mess a lot worse than some think it is now, if he had been president.
Then there was that liar JOHN SCARY KERRY and his foul mouth wife. Oh my, that would have been a diaster like we have never seen.
And Laura Bush, I don't even know where to begin in describing what a gracious and wonderful person she is.
Now we have Obama. Who is he really ? No one really knows. If all his friends and associates in his past are any indication of what he believes and what he thinks, then we are screwed. The real Obama will soon stand up and the true Obama will be known as time goes on to all. This is yet to be determined.
You stirred me up. I fired off. LOL
Have a great rest of the day Dan.

Well, I don't know. I did kind of like how he called himself a mutt. That was sort of spectacular.
Posted by: Karen | Monday, November 10, 2008 at 07:33 PM
Well Tish here ya go:
He scrubbed the Office of the President elect page
Looked for a puppy
insulted Nancy Reagan
recalled Clinton's cabinet (sans Elders and Reno)
went to see his new office
failed to answer whether he STILL plans to raise taxes on da rich (seems Nancy the P is one of them)
Oh and he hasn't found a puppy
Posted by: WAHOO WILLIE | Monday, November 10, 2008 at 07:34 PM
Karen, I think he called himself a mutt because he is trying to get out of buying those little girls a puppy......I heard he was going to just bring Chris Matthews in as a lap dog but with that "tingle" he gets up his leg..........well ya just can't have a white boy humping the legs of forgein potentates

Paula says,
"It's a lot easier to be popular if you never make a hard decision."
It,s also easier to be popular if you manage to get at least one of them right.
Enjoy you exile. Maroons.

Sorry, there won't be any "honeymoon" from this corner.
He can be YOUR President, but he won't be MINE. As always, I'll respect the OFFICE, but in this case, NEVER THIS man. Ask any military person how that works.
Finally, i couldn't care less who's offended by this.

ShiddyButt apparently didn't graduate from HS. I guess he made a few bad decisions himself.

"National-Socialist Democrat Party"
Hmm...has a chilling ring to it. Sort of like it's abbreviated name would be NaSDe Party. Time will tell.

"Can someone tell me what he has done since last Tuesday?"
He's been very busy contradicting statements by his advisers, his own statements, and sanitizing web sites.
That may sound pretty easy until you've actually tried to do it.
Posted by: PA | Tuesday, November 11, 2008 at 12:51 AM
Unlike a car that's a lemon you can return to the car dealership, you are stuck with what you bought in this election. The gates are not even open yet and people are already getting buyer's remorse! By summer this political lemon will taste pretty sour! LMAO. You get what you pay for.
I came across this today. (below) It makes me want to puke. Give me f-ing break !
Time Mag: Obama a 'Prince' Like Jesus Born of 'Imagination, History and Hope'
Time's Nancy Gibbs who opened this week's cover story by comparing Obama with Jesus: “Some princes are born in palaces. Some are born in mangers. But a few are born in the imagination, out of scraps of history and hope...”
Posted by: WBestPresidentEver | Tuesday, November 11, 2008 at 01:12 AM
Ah the touchy, and don't forget the feely: "But a few are born in the imagination, out of scraps of history and hope...” This is what passes for hard-nosed analysis in the liberal mind. Well here is a little scrap of history for ya there, Nancy. The US had a very cool 2008.

Meanwhile feely and touchy Al Gore has done wrote a ridiculous op ed piece about how Obama must save the planet immediately from global warming. (Sorry, no links from me to the Democrat paper of Democraticic record.)

The media is reporting Obamas job approval rating is currently over 70% while Bush is around 23%...
um...er...what job?
According to the media he has been on the job for over a week!!! Wheres my free health care...tax refund...free college...40 acres and my mule!!!

Hmm...I wonder how our resident liberals feel about Obama being compared to Jesus Christ, preparing to rule, etc. It is beginning to feel a bit like the Weimar Republic to me.
Posted by: templar knight | Tuesday, November 11, 2008 at 09:10 AM
Let's not get crazy here, Bush is still the president.
But, its VERY telling that Obama wants a bailout for the U.S. auto industry...which is run by some of the most brainless, greedy fools in history.
Apparently, nobody in Detroit new that gasoline was a finite resource and that given the millions of working poor out there that there MIGHT,just MIGHT be a market for a fuel efficent car. Nope, never occured to them, in fact, they've been fighting any kind of improved fuel efficiency for years. Never occured to them that gas prices might spike at some time and that would make SUVs too expensive for most people. Don't get me wrong, I love my own SUV, but I'll never buy another gas guzzler.
If these retards get a bailout, forget it. I'm going to stop paying my mortgage and run up all my credit cards, put my assets in a trust fund and go on welfare, because, hey,why not? Everyone else is getting a free ride on the taxpayer, why shouldn't I?

"-- Hmm...I wonder how our resident liberals feel about Obama being compared to Jesus Christ, preparing to rule, etc. It is beginning to feel a bit like the Weimar Republic to me. --"
So now Obama is Jewish? If the Republican Party retakes the House and the Presidency, does that mean you're all a bunch of Nazis? I eagerly await "stabbed in the back" rhetoric followed by political revivals at beer halls and a fire in the Reichstag.
"-- But, its VERY telling that Obama wants a bailout for the U.S. auto industry...which is run by some of the most brainless, greedy fools in history. --"
Detroit wants a bailout. And everyone loves giving Detroit bailouts because it is a swing state. The $25 billion bailout package was passed with Republican support under a Republican President. The next $25 billion bailout package will be passed the same way. No one wants to see tens of thousands of blue collar workers unemployed throughout the Midwest.
So please give this "Obama did it by Presidential fiat when he's not even out of the Senate yet!" bullshit a rest.

Behold! Links!
"-- Apparently, nobody in Detroit new that gasoline was a finite resource and that given the millions of working poor out there that there MIGHT,just MIGHT be a market for a fuel efficent car. --"
I suppose that's Obama's fault too.
"Hey automakers, let's raise CAFE standards to help preserve the environment, save the US consumer a buck, and compete internationally."
"NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! Republicans! Republicans! Save us from regulation!"
Remember that?

Perhaps you guys didn't get the memo or haven't been watching the tv, but it isn't your country anymore.

Llama, I wish one time you would make a comment that wasn't silly. Go study the Weimar Republic for God's sake, or don't comment on it. My comment was directed at thinking people like Spartan, not idiots like you.
Posted by: templar knight | Tuesday, November 11, 2008 at 10:07 AM
"..but it isn't your country anymore."
What's that supposed to mean? It's just as much my country as it ever was. I'm not going to be like one of you liberals and say just because my party's not in power that this is not my country. I'm not threatening to move overseas. I am taking financial steps that are prudent and smart, and reducing my footprint, but that doesn't mean I hate my country. It's much bigger than the Democrats, or Obama, or you, for that matter, chris.

Enter the "Honeymoon" Phase:
Everything Obama does will be brilliant, charming, witty, and fanciful. Cream-colored ponies will frolic in the streets, rainbows will cascade from pots of gold on every horizen...
AND THEN OBAMA WILL DO SOMETHING THE MEDIA AND THE HARD LEFT DON'T LIKE!
The first breech will be explained away as Bush's fault.
But the next breech? The next breech will knock Obama squarely OFF of his pedestal and the games will begin... They love to build people up - and set them up to fall: Sells more air time...
IT IS SIMPLY IMPOSSIBLE FOR THE MEDIA NOT TO USE THE WEAPONS OF THEIR "CRAFT" TO BLACKMAIL AND HUMILIATE A SITTING PRESIDENT!
Posted by: Rambo | Tuesday, November 11, 2008 at 10:15 AM
I put the odds of a military coup to restore the Republic before 2014 at about 10%.
Of course, military coups seldom restore anything.
As to the MSM "thriving on popularity" - I don't see much thriving going on these days.
Posted by: Whitehall | Tuesday, November 11, 2008 at 10:37 AM
First off, Michigan isn't a swing state, its a Democratic state that on rare occasions votes Republican.
Obama is already on record as saying he wants a bailout for Detroit, so it seems completely fair to say this is what he wants and to criticize him for it. Of course, Obama has never met a government bail out/stimulas program that he didn't like, but that's a bit beside the point.
There have been MILLIONS of workers in the midwest, south and everywhere else who have lost their jobs for any number of reasons, mostly due to globalization. Nobody helped them.
Why should the auto industry be exempt? What is so special about the auto industry, especially since it has been mismanaged completely, that they should get a bail out?
Are we going to bail out EVERY business that has mismanaged itself into bankruptcy?
It appears the answer is yes, we are going to to bail out every single irresponsible business, business owner and individual. If that isn't socialism, what is it?
Posted by: Anon | Tuesday, November 11, 2008 at 10:56 AM
"He can be YOUR President, but he won't be MINE."
Another traitor.
"I put the odds of a military coup to restore the Republic before 2014 at about 10%."
I put you shooting up a unitarian church at about 15%.

I put the odds of you committing suicide at about 99%, Totally. Frankly, it would be the right thing for you to do, given the amount of hate you spew. It seems likely you will hurt someone. Of course, there is that 1% chance that you will actually seek help and commit yourself to a mental institution. You're one sick puppy.
Posted by: templar knight | Tuesday, November 11, 2008 at 11:27 AM
I know that sounded harsh, Totally, but the election is over, your side won, you ought to show a tiny, tiny bit of magnaminity. Just a shred will do, as those of us who know you can't possibly expect much more. You need to get out of the house and away from the computer. It'll do you good.
Posted by: templar knight | Tuesday, November 11, 2008 at 11:59 AM
"-- I put the odds of you committing suicide at about 99% --"
I put you getting a case of anal herpes at 200%. That means you'll get it twice! Ha! Maturity!
"-- Are we going to bail out EVERY business that has mismanaged itself into bankruptcy? --"
No, only the businesses with the best lobbyists.
I mean, lets not kid. A Republican administration wouldn't be against any bailouts so long as it'll win them some votes. It is very hard to tell blue collar voters in the Midwest that they'll just have to suck it up while their CEOs retire with massive golden parachutes. Republicans had no trouble shoveling money at the pharmaceutical industry in Medicare Plan D. Half the Republican Senate and nearly a hundred Republican House Reps helped pass the $700 billion bankers' bailout. Republicans lined up to get on board the Pelosi stimulus plan back in 2006 (hurray! $600 for everyone! vote incumbent!) Show me a bailout bill the Republicans haven't liked.
You'll see plenty of Republican support for the next round of automotive bailouts. Their constituencies will demand it and they'll be happy to comply. But it will still be a "Democrat" bailout, because its so much easier to stick the blame with the majority party when you're voting for something that your marginalized base so strongly opposes.
So sit back and blame the Democrats. But when McConnell and Kay Bailey and Susan Collins line up to vote, make sure you've got your eyes squeezed shut.
