Bring It On!

That's in the sense of the election, of course. Geesh! It is time to get it over with one way or the other. And I'm certain most Americans agree.

However, I am also referring to this bit by Fred Barnes in the event of an Obama win.

We Could Be In for a Lurch to the Left A President Obama would not face the same constraints as his Democratic predecessors.

He makes some excellent points as to why the usual restrictions on a shift too far Left don't exist in the media and inside the Beltway. But there is this:

Card check is overwhelmingly unpopular with the American public.

It isn't just Card Check that would be unpopular with the general public if Liberals think they can simply run wild. As I mentioned to someone recently, something like the Fairness Doctrine would promptly re-bond Libertarians and Conservatives determined to give the Liberals a very tough fight in a very, very worthy cause.

Sad but true, the vast majority of the American people don't think deeply about Liberal versus Conservative and what the two ideologies actually entail. Hell, 35% of them are simply voting for "change."

But give a still center-Right country change it doesn't actually want and you'll see how quickly they tune in.

Maybe McCain pulls it out today, maybe he doesn't. And while it's too soon to start to dwell on, or even discuss it much ... regardless of today's outcome, the battle for the future of this great country still goes on.

GOP Election Board members have been tossed out of polling stations in more than half a dozen polling stations in Philadelphia because of their party status.

A liberal judge previously ruled that court-appointed poll watchers could be NOT removed from their boards by an on-site election judge, but that is exactly what is happening.

It is the duty of election board workers to monitor and guard the integrity of the voting process.

Denying access to the minority (in this case Republican) poll watchers and inspectors is a violation of Pennsylvania state law. Those who violate the law can be punished with a misdemeanor and subjected to a fine of $1,000 and sent to prison between one month and two years."

It is over for this nation. God has declared His judgment, and so this nation will pass into the dustbin of history, just like every other empire or kingdom that once embraced the Creator, but later rejected Him.

So also has He rejected the United States fro its dominion and stature in the community of nations, and so shall this republic be made a by-word and an object of ridicule and mocking from now on.

It was in the generation following the WW2 that the UK began its rapid descent from a god-fearing nation to a welfare state it is today, with barely 1% of its population daily seeking for God, whilst over 5% of its people are, or have become, Muslim. The Union Flag once also spread over the world, where it was said once that "the sun never sets on the British Empire".

And the USA has been following the UK's example, though lagging behind it by a generation or so, in terms of its national apostasy from the True and Living God.

It doesn't look as if all your examples are those of Christian 'civilizations' that met their demise because they gave way to filthy lucre.

Hmmmm. God is hard to please, it seems to me. I'm thinking of small Christian groups in India, China, Iraq, many countries in Africa, Iran.... these groups are persecuted regularly. America is 80% Christian, yet we're going down. India, for example, is 20% Christian and the Christians are persecuted. What a fine god God is. I suppose he's not happy until he can yank the soul from a body and beckon it to Heaven or send it to hell. It's a wonder he has anyone up there to keep him company.

I wish God would smite some Islamist terrorists and make a decree that campaigns may only last six months.
