A "Thank You" Petition For Palin
I don't get it. Why would Republican Governors snipe at Palin? She wasn't the one asking the question. They look like John McCain, siding with the press while not defending one of their own.
Richard Viguerie has a petition up you can sign to send Palin a note of thanks.
Careful libs, you might get cooties if you sign it. It's increasingly obvious how afraid you are of Palin in 2012, though I'm far from convinced she makes a run. She's young - she can wait.
But who knows?

Pleae, please, please let Ms. Palin be the Republican nominee in 2012.

"I don't get it. Why would Republican Governors snipe at Palin?"
I get it. It is because she is ignorant. Had no business being on the ticket. And will further damage the party by remaining a headliner.

I don't know, jharp. Maybe if she poses for Playboy and Obama sends out his SS to catch any republican in DC with a copy, he can expose them for the perverts they are. That's a good thing.

"They look like John McCain, siding with the press while not defending one of their own."
Yes they do.
Apparently in this case character - or the lack of it - is destiny. They see a rival surpass them in the eyes of conservatives: they act jealous and bitchy. They are not bigger men than that. They do not have the self-discipline and foresight to do better.
The Republican Party is in bad shape.

"It's increasingly obvious how afraid you are of Palin in 2012 ..."
It's true. It's hard to describe how terrified we are. Her poise. Her mastery of the issues. Her folksy demeanor. The way she is still running her 2008 campaign even though it's over shows that Can-Do spirit so lacking in elitist America today. Can you imagine a debate between Palin and Obama? Obama would be lucky to get off the stage under his own power.
Pity us, Dan. Convince her not to run. We beg you.

Democrats are quaking in their boots and pissing their panties due to Sarah Palin arriving on the scene. Since all the other rumors were proven lies why would anyone believe the latest from the Communist News Network (CNN)? Now we know the uppity ladies hate Palin because she's a complete package, beauty, brains and a load of accomplishments none of the elitest ladies will ever have. Then we find they are really down because she has a hunk for a husband and evidently has great sex (5 kids) while they have husbands who can't even contribute to a sperm bank, much less satisfy their women who look like the northbound end of a southbound jackass. Then when you look at the face of most democrat women you might want to kiss the rear of a jackass, if they open they're mouth you know you want to kiss the jackass. The incoming first lady will be the most ugly POS to ever enter the white house. With all the beautiful black women why did he stick himself with a pig. Maybe like the Clinton's/Kennedy's he thinks an ugly woman will look the other way when the fool around with the help.

Afraid of Sarah Palin?
Are you kidding me?
She can't even handle "Meet the Press" because she babbles incoherently when off script.
Palin/ Joe "The Unlicensed" Plumber 2012
Hilarious, we might as well pull people, at random, out of the DMV line for executive positions in our government.

There's another site set up to thank Governor Palin, which doesn't require signing up for a newsletter & email:

"Why would Republican Governors snipe at Palin? She wasn't the one asking the question."
Why would McCain's idiots spew ananymous gossip about her, assuming the media didn't just invent all that crap -- which is a possibility.
Republicans are nitwits. That should be evident by now. Democrats snipe at Republicans and Republcans snipe at Republicans. How do you build a counterrevolution on the shoulders of nitwits?

Although I see from the comments of Harp and company here that the other side has its share of nitwits too. So who knows what may happen?

Why are Republicans still talking about this woman ?
Whatever you think she is, lets say she also won a gold medal in the 100m sprint and a purple heart. Now read the following out loud (really) and try to claim you wouldn't be ashamed to know someone this stupid, let alone vote for them....
PALIN: Gah! Sitting here in these chairs that I’m going to be proposing but in working with these governors who again on the front lines are forced to and it’s our privileged obligation to find solutions to the challenges facing our own states every day being held accountable, not being just one of many just casting votes or voting present every once in a while, we don’t get away with that.

"you wouldn't be ashamed to know someone this stupid, let alone vote for them", writes a3v.
THEM? Now who's stupid? It's always fun to read an elitist's attempt to discredit someone based on a single statement. Invariably, the elitist uses flawed grammar or spelling.

Please Dan, can you tell me specifically what the left is afraid of with Palin? I don't see it. Polls show she was a drag on the ticket, I can't even see her making it out of the primary season let alone beating Obama in '12.

It should be pointed out that you can send a message of support to the Gov from the Alaska state web site without signing up for junk e-mail and spam lists.
It's a gimmick

In all 57 states when his grandfather in the US Army freed Auschwitz.

"It's always fun to read an elitist's attempt to discredit someone based on a single statement."
Yeah, that's totally what's going on. Elitism.
Tell us, if this woman's inability to construct sentences, compose a thought or say anything coherent makes my 6yo niece sound like a genius, who's not an elitist when it comes to Sarah Palin?
Who doesn't she elevate above herself?

Unfortunately for Democrats, Ms. Palin's 14 minutes of fame is just about over. Her clearest path to the national stage is about to close - it looks like Ted Stevens isn't going to get re-elected, which would allow Ms. Palin to run for Senate if he's forced out - not a lot of convicted felons get seated.
Republicans - including many on this board - apparently weren't paying attention to the last election. Hard-right conservatives love Ms. Palin. Moderate Republicans, independents and conservative Dems, not so much. Tough to win an election without those groups.
So yeah, I'm with on Palin for President 2012.

THANK YOU GOVERNOR PALIN!

Palin is not any worse than the moron you people elected to the White House. Duh...uh...uh....duh. He is an affirmative-action communtity organizer. I know, to a liberal, that's a cool job. In the real world, it doesn't amount to shit. We're going to wake up in mid-January in a world of shit, with a guy who doesn't know shit, trying to govern in a world that going to eat his butt up.
Posted by: templar knight | Friday, November 14, 2008 at 10:42 AM
We're already in a world of s*** - courtesy Republican Rule. Bush is about to rack up the first trillion dollar plus deficit. That's $1,000,000,000,000. Great job for a Fiscal Conservative.

Pulleeze - Palin ruined the Republican Governors party in Miami. After all, it could have been, should have been Gov. Crist's bachelor party. Oh my.
Posted by: befair | Friday, November 14, 2008 at 11:07 AM
Looks like our fearless leader, Dan, will be spending the next three or so years keeping the Palin name front and center. Clearly, people, there are conservative women aplenty who have the credentials too.
Off topic - did I read that the Edwards have split? Sad. If Elizabeth Edwards were well and wanted to, I think she would be a good candidate for higher office.

Since when is being a community organizer a sin? Wasn't Jesus a community organizer?

The Republican Governors Association announced its new leadership lineup today after their annual meeting concluded Thursday in Miami.
South Carolina Gov. Mark Sanford RGA chairman
Texas Gov. Rick Perry as finance chairman.
Mississippi Gov. Haley Barbour is vice-chairman
Florida Gov. Charlie Crist will serve as chair for the annual RGA gala Georgia Gov. Sonny Perdue will head up the recruitment effort.
Hawaii Gov. Linda Lingle, Vermont Gov. Jim Douglas, and Minnesota Gov. Tim Pawlenty will also sit on the RGA’s executive committee.
Not on the list? Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin, who also attended the Miami meeting.
Pretty funny. Apparently the GOP Governors didn't get the memo that Palin is going to lead the party out of the wilderness.
Posted by: jharp | Friday, November 14, 2008 at 02:09 PM
When did that memo go out, jharp? I sure didn't see it. Maybe Dan did. Dan, did you see that memo about Palin taking the reins of the Republican Party? What the hell are you talking about, jharp?

"Careful libs, you might get cooties if you sign it. It's increasingly obvious how afraid you are of Palin in 2012"
Afraid? Hardly. I welcome the idea of seeing Sarah Palin run for prez in 2012. Let's see her put together a positive message, answer tough questions and display completely nuanced views on a range of extraordinarily complex issues. I don't think she can do it. My own view is Sarah Palin is an intellectual lightweight like George W. Bush who can only stick to talking points, and exhort their core supporters with speeches written for them full of invective. The novelty of Sarah Palin, an outsider and unknown being introduced to the Republican base, was responsible for a great deal of her initial popularity. The lack of depth of knowledge on some pretty basic issues exposed the fluffiness of her candidacy itself. All style and no substance. If Palin runs in 2012, I expect her to be a whole lot more knowledgeable on the issues if only to avoid embarrassing herself in the process. But, you can't expect anyone to withstand the vetting process of a nearly 2 year campaign starting in 2010 without showing a broad and deep understanding, essentially having a vision of their presidency. If Sarah Palin can put that on display, then she would indeed have a viable and potentially powerful candidacy. It would shock the hell out of me if she can do it, I'll say that. Leopards don't change their stripes so easily.
