This via Washington Wire. Evidently a speaker at a McCain event invoked Obama's middle name. Isn't it just a bit crazy to think that using a would be president's complete legal name is considered "inappropriate rhetoric"? It's his freaking name for allah's heaven's sake!

UPDATE: McCain didn’t acknowledge the comments during his remarks, but campaign spokesman Paul Lindsay issued this statement: “We do not condone this inappropriate rhetoric which distracts from the real questions of judgment, character, and experience that voters will base their decisions on this November.”

Then again, how could we know for sure because the birth certificate, as well as 13 or so other official docs remain "unreleased" to the public.

Well the sheriff possibly violated federal election law. The Supreme Court already ruled that the Hatch Act doesn't violate free speech. So you're wrong in stating that Obama is stifling free speech, rather he wants federal law to be upheld.

Well, on the surface, it seems very likely that Obama has the election all wrapped up, varying from an outright 500+ EV landslide to a narrow squeaker.

I think the sense of "panic" is valid however, since there is a huge difference in the perception of a national mandate the Dems will have between the gigantic landslide, and a squeaker election where the margin is decided by three or four EV's.

And that is all the difference between enacting many and massively-scoped "New Deals", all designed to rape and pillage the taxpayers and permanently reduce the United States of America into the periphery of the third world, or a narrow mandate heavily balanced out by close to half the population that is deeply suspicious and highly critical of the Democratic Party's agenda.

It also has a downrange effect on the downticket Congressional races, and probably to a lesser extend, local and statehouse races as well.

Obama (and Biden) don't just want to "win"; there is now little question that they shall win. Rather, they want to win BIG, like FDR in 1932.

That is what the "panic" is about.
