If you were watching in 2004, Rendell in PA made a move to register people in jail - now Virginia is doing the same thing.
Inmates at the Fairfax County jail were encouraged to register and vote last week by elections officials making what the county’s sheriff called the first visit of its kind in his 30 years with the county.

"delivered registration forms and absentee ballots to inmates with misdemeanor convictions and those awaiting felony trials."
What's the problem? Where's the illegality?

Democrats Love Inmates - Inmates For Obama! (who else?) Democrats align themselves with people they wouldn't want in their home, lol... I almost hope Obama wins, just so they can see all "change" is not good change...

Don't you lose your right to vote if you are incarcerated?

"-- Don't you lose your right to vote if you are incarcerated? --"
It varies from state to state. Misdemeanor offenses, for instance, don't strip your voting rights. And if you are in prison but have not yet been convicted - ie, you can't make bail - you can still vote. Some states allow you to keep your voting rights if you've only been convicted of a non-violent crime.

The ACLU has a full guide detailing what is permissible and what methods are allowed for registering people in prison.

"Not big on the whole Christianity thing so much, eh?"
Or the innocent until proven guilty thing.

The Democrats in Alabama are registering prisoners too. The Republican stopped it, but the Democrats went to court to allow it.

Off topic but funny - Howard Stern went to Harlem last week and interviewed folks there on who they were voting for - They all said "Obama" but Howard then asked them "Why, is it because Obama is for staying in Iraq until the job is done", "because Obama is against Stem Cell research", etc, attributing McCain's views to Obama. Invariably, they agreed to all of McCain's views as long as they thought they were Obama's, lol. My favorite was "Do you think Obama's Vice-Presidential pick, Sarah Palin, will make a good Vice-President?" - They agreed that Obama made a good decision picking Palin as a V.P. A new meaning to mindless drones.

The Democrats want felons that have done their time to get the right to vote back. The Democrats have no honor (or class). Remember Marion Barry? He's still "serving" in D.C. And William J. Jefferson in Louisiana? $90000 in the freezer in payoffs and he's still the top runner. Wait until Kwame gets out, he'll be back. The Dems want to give our country to the dogs.
