Damn this is getting annoying as Hell. These freaking morons think America is simply supposed to bend over and anoint this empty suit because he's black. Anything and everything one says against their black Jesus must be a racial slur.
Keep pushing this BS right up until election day. I can't think of anything that will result in more people of non-color rejecting the jerk at the polls. If they want to see some hate, why don't they sit down and start playing tapes of Jeremiah Wright amongst themselves.
Civil rights icon and Georgia congressman John Lewis is accusing John McCain and Sarah Palin of stoking hate, likening the atmosphere at Republican campaign events to those featuring George Wallace, the segregationist former governor of Alabama and presidential candidate.
"What I am seeing reminds me too much of another destructive period in American history," Lewis said in a statement issued today. "Sen. McCain and Gov. Palin are sowing the seeds of hatred and division, and there is no need for this hostility in our political discourse."
Lewis didn't accuse McCain of imitating Wallace, but suggested there were similarities.

Just saw a spinet of BO in Dayton, Ohio. He sounded just like "jesse Jackson" the cadence was unmistakable. He was accusing the McCain camp of not wanting to discuss the issues. He has gone back to trying to tie mccain tightly to bush. What so frightens me about this guy, BO is his absolute ability to lie effortlessly. I mean he had the audacity to say that he know that the McCain camp said they can't talk about the economy or they will lose. I mean, doesn't he realize that most people will not believe that and thus question his veracity?

Careful Dan,
You're starting to sound like that old charmer
"Irreverend Jeremiah Wrong".
p.s. Wait until the Supreme Court decides against ALL of the ACORN ballots because no one can determine which are real and which are fraudulent.
When ALL the ACORN ballots are thrown out - THAT'S when the Obamaniacs are gonna get their freak on and take to the streets!
p.s.s. Rodney King = A Tea Party by comparison.

I shouldn't watch CNN, I jsut get aggravated. BO is saying that the republicans are trying to divide when that is all he has done in his campaign. In his little emails from David Plouffe, at his little cocktail parties, who is he kidding. The Leopard certainly is changing his spots and boy oh boy, no wonder wall street is tanking, they see an Obama presidency. He is saying in Iowa everything he can about how bad big business is. So what, when he goes to the strongholds for big business will he say he is for big business? Doesn't this guy realize CNN is broadcasting this? People will begin to realize that he says whatever they want to hear, all they have to do is watch CNN to see him doing it.

So is McSame going to do any more town hall meetings?? I look forward to hearing more from the angry and confused Children of the Corn.
You could sell tickets to watch these mouth-breathers!

Don't you find it interesting that the BO camp is saying that the McCain camp is supporting violence when the only ones to threaten violence if BO doesn't win have been BO's democratic supporters?

It is a law that all ballots be turned in. The ballots that the canvassers make themselves, or fake, or obtain properly all must be turned in - it is the law. Acorn turned in three - three - stacks of ballots. one stack was ok, one stack looked ok, but needed review, and one stack marked suspicious. Why would they knowingly separate the stacks of ballots if they wanted to 'taint' the process? The only party which has a history of ballot issues is the GOP. They - and you all - know that if dems are limited in voting, the corrupt GOP has a chance to win the election. You all don't care if you have to cheat to win - just so you win. What a bunch a whiners...

excerpt
Okay, let's take off the gloves.
While Senator McCain and Governor Palin have to show some public civility, those of us often on the receiving end of liberal racist hate do not.
What set this off? Reports from a biased mainstream media of hate speech directed at Barack Obama. As I know the rules of journalism; something some in the mainstream may learn once they achieve first grade industry status, one should not report stories they can't back up. So far innuendo has been reported as fact to further a rumor they've failed to substantiate.
Where's the videotape of McCain supporters screaming "Kill him!", referring to Senator Obama? YouTube" Liveleak? I'm waiting to see something, anything backing up the careless and irresponsible reporting by so-called journalists.
Where's the first hand accounts and quotes with attribution. This is pure rumormongering, exploited by a civil rights era-has been-United States Congressman doing what Democrats do best: squelch speech by any means necessary. The race card has always been their nuclear option, and a lazy, complicit press is their convenient conduit.
It's ironic that Congressman Lewis cites Alabama Governor George Wallace… a segregationist, racist DEMOCRAT.

Election fraud - And Racism
http://gatewaypundit.blogspot.com/2005/06/guilty-verdict-in-esl-voter-fraud.html
"Guilty" Verdict in ESL Voter Fraud Trial
The Prosecution told the jury "You cannot hide from the tapes."
And they didn't!
VIDEO CLIP OF VERDICT ANNOUNCEMENT TODAY, HERE
A terrific clip that shows federal agents raiding East St. Louis City Hall!
,,,,,,,,,
In closing arguments on Tuesday, the prosecution again went over the evidence presented during the trial including the taped recordings by the federal witnesses and East St. Louis Democratic election workers:
Carr replayed many of the audiotapes the jury had previously heard of conversations Youngblood and McIntosh had with the defendants. Carr used the tapes to support his theory the five defendants conspired to buy votes for $5 and $10 apiece to elect Democrat Mark Kern the St. Clair County Board chairman in the Nov. 2 election.
"But there was a perception in East St. Louis he was racist," said Carr, adding this had upped the price for bringing voters to the polls on Election Day.
Which explains why the St. Clair County Democratic Central Committee sent $79,000 to East St. Louis Democratic precinct committeemen just before the election, Carr said.
"To make sure Mr. Kern was elected -- that's what this conspiracy was about," Carr said. "This was business as usual in East St. Louis on election day."
Kern, the former mayor of Belleville, narrowly won the race for County Board chairman, thanks to winning more than 82 percent of the vote in East St. Louis.
Kern, who has not been charged with a crime, has denied any wrongdoing

postmodernprimate, that is what Bo is basing his charge on? An unnamed source said to a reporter? Oh come on, where is the name of the person? BO of all people, the alleged chief victim of unsubstantiated charges, should know better than to mouth off without being able to at least give a name. "a top McCain strategist told the Daily News." is like "my sister's husband's brother's cousin said". Wow I am truly surprised at BO, being a lawyer he should be on this kind of stuff. Of course you know that would not fly in a court of law, thankfully hearsay is non admitted.

Naw, just show some spine. That's all. McCain spent about three minutes doing it on Friday when he told his whipped up and frightened crowd to show some respect after he's been crafting a message that has none. "Kill him" and "Terrorist" and "Traitor" and all garbage the right has been spewing is the cowardice of mob rule. A leader stands up to a mob and inspires them to be better people. McCain showed that he vaguely remembers what that's like. Don't worry, it won't last.
It's the same garbage I've been hearing for years. Rush tells you Liberals hate America. Coulter tells you liberals are traitors. Jonah Goldberg tells you liberals are Fascists. The NRA tells you liberals want to take your guns away. O'Reilly tells you liberals want to take Christmas away.
Now the cry is that the biggest conservative fiasco in in American history, the invasion and occupation of Iraq that totally bungled the war on terror, lost bin Laden, lost America our finest in uniform, about a trillion dollars, world prestige, and any moral compass cheerleading torture, is really a liberal conspiracy because the Neo-Cons were disaffected liberals fifty years ago. Whatever.
Grow a backbone, and while you're at it grow a brain. The only reason McCain started talking about respect, and Norm Coleman said he's going 100% positive is they can both read poll numbers. Your crazy screaming mobs look more scary spewing hate than Obama addressing crowds of Germans.
Elect somebody with a moral compass and a spine. Tell your hate-spewing mobs to shut up. Learn what a civil society is supposed to look and sound like. Then pretend you know what it means. Someone might take you seriously then.
Posted by: skeptical | Sunday, October 12, 2008 at 12:00 AM
obviously skeptical you didn't hear BO today. Maybe you ought to forward your little speech to him changing the names to weel know libs. I was sort of horrified by the manner in which he conducted himself. The hate in his eyes was frightening so much so that I took an informal poll just to make sure I wasn't alone in what I saw. One of his most ardent "followers" among my friends said "he just isn't doin it for me anymore, I mean he's a regular politician now" and then she referenced his behavior all day.

been thinking a lot lately about what a future Doris Kerns Goodwin will say about this period. I'm wondering if she will say it was "a carefully crafted candidacy" and if she will mention the privacy laws and how they can be used for good or bad. And if she will mention Philip Berg and if he will turn out to have been a patriot and not the "nut" that the liberals want everyone to believe. I'm wondering the kind of chaos that would occur if it is found that the guy has no less than three citizenships, won't the citizenry be wholly pissed at the MSM and won't arnold and a few others line up with their lawsuits. Ah good times, good times.

OK, now this is just plain funny. I mean how did he get Fidel to comment about what else? RACISM. Although, its getting pretty uncomfortable noting that he has a big fan following of dictators:
"HAVANA (AP) - Fidel Castro says a "profound racism" in the United States will stop millions from voting for Barack Obama in next month's presidential election.
The ailing, 82-year-old former Cuban president says it is "a miracle that the Democratic candidate hasn't suffered the same luck as (assassinated leaders) Martin Luther King, Malcolm X and others who harbored dreams of equality and justice."

57 & 61. It's smug, pompous Ivy-league doucebags like you who got us all INTO this mess. Why don't you stifle it and go get me a beer, then I'll tell youse how the real world works.
Ivy-leaguers are a bunch of effete WASP-influenced blowhards. Most of them are legacy rich-lids or coddled honor-students like G.W. Bush and Barack Obama. They are two sides of the same coin.
As for the qualifications of Sarah Palin to be President? She has more executive experience than all the other 3 on the ticket combined, and she has won several elections competitively, without getting her opponents disqualified, or playing the cynical fake "race card" "Vote for me or you are a Racist" "If you criticize me in any way you are a Racist." I call BULLSHIT on that.
Ivy-leaguers have f*cked this country up long enough. Get someone who hasn't had all of the common sense educated out of her in there.
Let's go down the record, shall we?
Jimmy Carter - Annapolis (might as well be Ivy) - unmitigated disaster.
Ronald Reagan - Eureka College - Easily one of the top 5 Presidents EVER.
G.H.W. Bush - Yale - a fortunate mediocrity.
Bill Clinton - Georgetown, Oxford & Yale Law (and Governor of a piss-ant 3rd-rate Podunk State) - was restrained in his socialist tendencies by the Newt Gingrich Congress. Impeached for Perjury & Obstruction of Justice. Sued for Sexual Harrassment. Disbarred.
G.W. Bush. Exeter, Yale & Harvard M.B.A. 'Nuff said.
Eureka College 1, Ivy league ZERO."

OK, people are really angry. On every blog. Particularly on this financial blog as they, probably more than most americans, are in the thick of this crisis and are figuring things out, on a regular basis, that they aren't shall we say, thrilled about. But no, the politics is suddenly coming to the fore.

Mary,
I figure I'll get some of my tax money back that way. After all, I'll be supporting everyone else's kids with my taxes. I'll also save a bundle when I stop paying for the health insurance that is now costing me $6000.00 a year.

Annapolis might as well be Ivy? What planet are you living on?
Posted by: Spartan112 | Sunday, October 12, 2008 at 10:35 PM
Sparto, West Point and Annapolis - while not technically "Ivy League", are widely considered by employers as "close enough" due to their longevity (200+ years each) and impact on supplying the USA with a great number of leaders of character as well as merely military officers.
From the Wiki at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ivy_League (standard Wikipedia disclaimer applies) :
"---
The Ivies have been competing in sports as long as intercollegiate sports have existed in the United States. Boat clubs from Harvard and Yale met in the first sporting event held between students of two U.S. colleges on Lake Winnipesaukee, New Hampshire, in 1852. As an informal football league, the Ivy League dates from 1900 when Yale took the conference championship with a 5-0 record. For many years Army (the United States Military Academy) and Navy (the United States Naval Academy) were considered members, but dropped out shortly before formal organization. For instance, Army traditionally had a rivalry with Yale, and Rutgers had rivalries with Princeton and Columbia, which continue today in sports other than football.
---"
And they also compete in various athletic leagues against the Ivies as well, especially in football.
