The coward won't even talk to the press.

There's 2 minutes left, you have the ball and the other team doesn't have timeouts.

When's the last time that your idiot leader talked to the press, btw?

Thats what we deserve for allowing affirnmative action to part of the American way of life....
Once in office - GOD FORBID - hell inact a job creation program that includes 40 acres and a mule program for every brother!!!

I think the the obama bus is out of gas.

Hiding out for 30 days, given the hits he is now taking, would make for an intersting 30 minute infomericial.

If he has no plans to speak with the press, and lawyer himself out of this with his infomercial, it is going to have to undergo a serious rewrite in less than 48 hours. think the plan for the dems was to provide a closing argument, but now is in the psotion of addressing some serious damage.

redistribution:
he has repeatedly stated that he is only going to tax the top 5%, and the assumption that was made, was that he would use the money to shore up govt services. Given the spate of quotes combined with the NPR interview from 2001, it now appears that the singular purpose of taxing the highest wage earners is to redistribute their wealth to the lowest.

yes, he is not going to raise taxes on the middle class, but it now appears that the middle class will see no benefit from the increased taxes. It is going straight into the pockets of people below 35k, leaving the middle class out in the cold.

Had he proposed a tax policy that raised the tax on top earners, and provided reduced middle class rates, he might have a limb to hang onto.

how does obama get his groove back?
he doesn't, there are too many balls coming his way that he needs to hit back. If he stands an tries to serve the ball himself, he will wind up getting pelted.

better find another sick family, quick.

You rednecks are pretty 'afeared', huh? It can't be fun to be increasingly marginalized.

He doesn't NEED to talk to the press right now. Unlike McCain who needs to go on Meet the Press and fumble around like a fool for an hour.

"What a freaking disaster this guy is going to be if he's elected."

He's going to be elected and he's going to be a vast improvement over George Bush.

And with strong majorities in both the House and Senate he's going to be able to implement most of his policies.

And he's going to appoint 2 or 3 Supreme Court justices.

Quit your whining. You only have your own party to blame. Maybe if you'd have done something instead of cheerlead every one of the GOP's faiures you wouldn't find yourself in this spot.

look at that 4 year senator who wants to change the constitution.

he sure does have a pretty mouth.

"He's going to be elected and he's going to be a vast improvement over George Bush."

so your telling me he would have won the Iraq war AND stopped the housing crisis if he had been in office in 04?

The only action he took in regard to the housing crisis while he was in office/running for president was cash the checks that fannie mae and freddie mac wrote out to him.

He would have surrendered in Iraq.

ZERO for two.

Face it. The evidence is clear. Obama is a socialist. If you continue to support him you should acknowledge that fact and admit that you ar OK with the Govt taking money from the productive and handing it over to the unproductive (Harpist, chris, boob, jaime).

Man up. Stop denying the obvious. Defend your position honestly.

Oh, wait...your a liberal...

Nevermind.

considering the 'palin hanging in effigy' on the west coast---(personally, I think its funny)

would it be fair to say that if obama gets elected, white people will be lynched? not like it worked for the dems in 2000, oh wait...it didn't.

A co worker just played Rush Linbaugh talking about what redistribution actually is. The entire floor came to listen. Basically, first they take your stuff and then they redistribute it. That is the part that drew audible gasps.

If Sarah Palin wanted a more obvious visible sign that she is really really really making a difference in this campaign, she got it today in California.
With types like her, this will be energizing.

Barack Hussein Obama and the Triumph of Marxism
From the desk of Fjordman on Mon, 2008-10-27 17:08

One of the recurring themes in my essays is the realization that the West didn't win the Cold War as decisively as we should have done. A generation after we "defeated" Marxism, Marxist-inspired groups control much of the Western education system as well as Western media and form alliances with our enemies, especially Islamic ones. I have concentrated on Europe, but this is a problem in North America as well. Barack Hussein Obama represents the triumph of cultural Marxism; or perhaps we should simply say Marxism. One generation after Ronald Reagan led the USA to "victory," a person with Marxist sympathies could be about to be elected President of the USA. When the Nazis were defeated they were seen as evil, as they should be. When the Communists were "defeated," they were not seen as evil; they are misguided individuals with good intentions, a bit like Santa Claus with a bad hair day.

Journalist Stanley Kurtz has done an excellent job at tracking the many ties to radical organizations in Obama's personal history. Dr.Daniel Pipes lists some of the indirect ties he has to the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) and the Nation of Islam. Pipes states that "Obama's multiple links to anti-Americans and subversives mean he would fail the standard security clearance process for Federal employees. Islamic aggression represents America's strategic enemy; Obama's many insalubrious connections raise grave doubts about his fitness to serve as America's commander-in-chief."

He would have surrendered in Iraq.

Posted by: mark l. | Monday, October 27, 2008 at 01:14 PM

He wouldn't have invaded Iraq. And we'd have another $ 1 trillion in our treasury. And 4,200 soldiers would still be alive. And 30,000 soldiers wouldn't have maimed.

And he's going to get us out of Iraq. Probably the single most significant reason he's going to be elected.

I'm in the burbs, but I do some traveling through western Va, southern Ohio...

an general observation:
in 04, I saw a ton of Kerry, Bush signs, with a 60-40 split favoring kerry.
in 06, I saw a ton of Webb and Brown yard signs, with a smattering of dewine and allen-well actually a paucity of dewine, and a few more allen relative to webb, but given the region, it wasn't good news.

same areas, as of a week ago?

no signs-either candidate. period. local elections/congressional seats, yes, national, no.

The dems have got to be sweating those down ballots in the more conservative areas that they won in 06.
The support just isn't beaming through.

I understand the lack of Mccain signs, but the obama thing is rather hard to reconcile. I thought he had a wave of strong support from middle america? I really don't see it though.

I'm starting to think that not only does obama not care about the suburbs, but that the suburbs don't care about him.

Face it. The evidence is clear. Obama is a socialist.

Posted by: ET | Monday, October 27, 2008 at 01:15 PM

And you are an unbelievable idiot.

Which President just nationalized the banks?

And just threw $700 billion taxpayers dollars to Wall Street?

And another $85 billion to AIG?

And Bear Stearns?

Obama is no socialist and you know it. Things getting a little desperate for you there, buddy?

President Obama. Get used to it.

Oh, and markl., ET, Lala, mary.

Quit your whining. It is very childish and makes you look weak.

"He wouldn't have invaded Iraq."

time frame provided was for 2004.

you can't pick the cards you are dealt, you can only play them.
you do agree that he would have bailed out before victory, if he were in office?

how's that 16 month deadline coming...that he uttered almost 36 months ago?

on the bailout questions...

which senate and congress tweaked it and signed it?

"would it be fair to say that if obama gets elected, white people will be lynched?"

No. It would be idiotic, paranoid, and bigoted. In other words, the very features of wingerism causing the public to hate the GOP. William F. Buckley tried to rid the crack-pots from the conservative movement, but as the election tells us, he roundly failed. To bad for him. But we all appreciate your willingness to help bury the GOP for years to come. :)

jharp, what makes you think I'm "whining"? Be specific please.

Had a quick coffee with the gals. We were discussing Peggy Noonan and what the heck is her problem these days. Our big democratic party activist friend bought up Claire McCaskill. Well, we are catty sometimes and she was saying how she can't believe how out there Claire McCaskill has been for BO and wow, won't it be interesting to see her and Hillary interact in the senate and in the future. Someone pointed out that she has been a good foot soldier and will probably be tapped for some important posiiton in the cabinet. But, said my friend, "not really, as BO isn't so pro woman as you think" and she didn't think "anyone has approached her about anything and it seems all that stuff has been done already".

My question is, could this be true? After turning her back on Hillary in favor of BO from the get go, could he be abandoning her?

Cass Sunstein and the polymorphically strange "Just Asking" Sage of Provincetown are now trying to take Obama's plain language and say it says something else, or isn't important, or whaaaa........!

Let's watch how the MSN[D]NC handles this, even though I only watch as one does a porn flic to learn new deviant poses, postures, and ways to slurp it down while saying you enjoy it. O'Reilly and Hannity will hit these hanging curves into souvenir city, but apart from FOX, the rest of the puppy pack will not bark at their big dog in the fight.

reuters, rassmussen, and gallup(tradtional) all have it +5.

be a shame if all these out of context quotes, swung 3 pts from obama to mccain.

good thing the dems tell me there is no such thing as a bradley effect.

not like the expressed lack of concern about the suburbs, would give voters a reason to change their minds.

mark, don't worry, the effect of this should hit. Remember the Gore-bot was down ten ten days to go and got to the finish line in a dead heat---literally.

Thankfully, the US Constitution sorted it out before the Dem Crime Spree RICO elites could snatch an electoral college defeat and turn it into a corrupt victory [OBTW, California popular votes for POTUS should be discounted, as Bobo Boxer and Maxine "Muddy" Waters have ACORN seminars weekly to show how to lie, cheat, and steal your way into ginormous numbers.

jharp & chris should crawl back under their rocks until election, then they can come out and pretend they're butterflies.

Jharp and chris are already coming up with the solution that the Obamamessiah supports: ban white people from voting.

Wow, now they are going after idealistic kids.

Thought attorneys were supposed to be officers of the court?

And that is really the gist of the entire Obama campaign: white people are all racist, therefore they should in shame and repentance vote for a black Messiah to purge them of their sins.

"and then there is this…a blogger on the Daily Kos I am told…investigating the student journalists???

and then there is this email below that was emailed to Palestra.net…WHO IS INVESTIGATING TIFFANY WILSON? and her “crime” is exposing crime???? huh??? WHO IS JOE KNAPP? PLEASE RESEARCH AND POST!"

Not to bright this group. They are going to go up against GRETA? When you go up against GRETA you go up against her entire audience, loyal as they are, too. This should be just fascinating.

Thank you, mary; that shows just how completely pathetic Obama is.

Obama supports harassing people who expose voter FRAUD. Not just registration fraud, but actual casting of fraudulent votes based on registration fraud.

Too bad we can't have a redo on that Bush / Gore election. Gore would win in a landslide this time. Just like Obama's going to next week.

Republicans have no one to blame but themselves. It's a party that's completely divorced from its supposed ideals.

*******
More BS from North Dallas Thirty. Your boss is losing because he ran a lousy campaign including his support of Bush's policies, his choice of Ms Palin, who's now huring him in the polls, to his disastrous decision to shut down his campaign.

A demagogue tries to sound as stupid as his audience -

"There is nothing mysterious about Obama's methods. "A demagogue tries to sound as stupid as his audience so that they will think they are as clever as he is," wrote Karl Krauss. Americans are the world's biggest suckers, and laugh at this weakness in their popular culture.

Listening to Obama speak, Sinclair Lewis' cynical tent-revivalist Elmer Gantry comes to mind, or, even better, Tyrone Power's portrayal of a carnival mentalist in the 1947 film noire Nightmare Alley. The latter is available for instant viewing at Netflix, and highly recommended as an antidote to having felt uplifted by an Obama speech. ..."
From AsiaTimesOnline, Feb 26, 2008

You can't just cherrypick 2004 as a time frame. Neither Barack Obama or Al Gore, had he won in 2000, would have chosen to invade Iraq. This is Bush's war of choice. He had a vendetta against Saddam Hussein coming into office based upon the assasination attempt by Iraqi agents on George HW Bush, and his immediate reaction after 9/11 was to dig up intellligence that could tie Saddam to Al Qaeda. That wouldn't have been the automatic reaction of Gore or Obama to do that.

Furthermore, pulling out of Iraq is not surrendering in Iraq. That is just pure Republican propaganda. The Iraqi government is on record of wanting a timetable to get us out of Iraq. A vast majority of the American people want us out of Iraq. It's time for the US government to stop infantalizing the Iraqi government and let them stand on their own 2 feet and take responsibility for their own country. And, it's time for us to start spending the money we spend in Iraq on rebuilding our own infrastructure, not Iraqi infrastructure. They have the oil revenues. They have a budget surplus. We've fulfilled our obligations of stabilizing the country. It's their turn now.

To paraphrase something I read months ago, America is going to realize that Obama is an empty suit that will say and do anything to get elected.

They'll realize it around mid-December, though.

I guess Sarah doesn't like me - but she mails my husband!! Both of us are unaffiliated voters. She just wanted him to know that he could contribute up to $28,500 to the Republican National Committee, but they'll settle for $2,000 or less."Please help provide the resources we need to battle back against the Democrats and their same old tired-and-failed policies of the past." Sorry folks, but the economic policies of the Bush administration have depleted discretionary income.

Things to come - a warning from Obama

“We Will All Need To Sacrifice”
Abe Greenwald - 10.27.2008

Yesterday, Barack Obama spoke in Colorado, and said something that may be of interest to Joe the Plumber:

Now, make no mistake: the change we need won’t come easy or without cost. We will all need to tighten our belts, we will all need to sacrifice and we will all need to pull our weight because now more than ever, we are all in this together.

The tone is miserable, and the suggestion is vaguely collectivist.

http://www.commentarymagazine.com/blogs/index.php/greenwald/40172

--Obama is no socialist and you know it.

Just say it out loud, harpo. It shouldn't be that hard for you. Don't retreat to the recent bailout...of course that is a move towards centralized government that I abhor. An I am man enough to say it.

You, on the other hand, support a man who is a devoted socialist, and you continue to deny it. Another indication of you cowardice.

I used to think the democrats were just dumb for supporting a socialist, however, I find when I point out that Obama is a socialist that #1 I get called a racist as though that has anything to do with anything and #2 I find that these democrats actually seem to support the redistributing of wealth routine. Unbelievable, but true.

Obama a socailist? Nah. But Bush, that's another matter. He's in the process of nationalizing the banks with insurance companies on deck. THAT'S Socialism.

More BS from North Dallas Thirty.

Oh no, it's right there in black and white that Obama and his supporters want to ban white people from voting.

And that they are putting nooses around Sarah Palin's neck to hang her in effigy.

http://cbs2.com/local/Sarah.Palin.mannequin.2.849299.html

"afraid to talk to the press"???? Come back to me after Palin actually gives a press conference. Just one. That's all I'm asking for. To see you guys getting upset over access to the media is beyond humorous.

And that ridiculous Orlando station deserved to get booted for that "interview." "So, SEn. Biden, when did you stop beating your wife?" I mean, seriously. That lady made FoxNews look positively subtle in its bias.

You wingnuts are getting loonier and loonier the more likely it appears that Obama will win. You've taken to making flat out racist remarks now that your "subtle" dog whistles have had no effect. OMG! A BLACK man in the WHITE House! The world is going to end! He hates white people and wants to put us in chains! Boogety boogety boogety!!!

Watching your embarrassing implosion almost makes the last 8 years worth it. Almost.

President Obama today in Canton, Ohio.

Read it and weep losers. This is what a President sounds like.

"Now, I don't believe that government can or should try to solve all our problems. I know you don't either. But I do believe that government should do that which we cannot do for ourselves -- protect us from harm and provide a decent education for our children; invest in new roads and new science and technology. It should reward drive and innovation and growth in the free market, but it should also make sure businesses live up to their responsibility to create American jobs, and look out for American workers, and play by the rules of the road. It should ensure a shot at success not only for those with money and power and influence, but for every single American who's willing to work. That's how we create not just more millionaires, but more middle-class families. That's how we make sure businesses have customers that can afford their products and services. That's how we've always grown the American economy -- from the bottom-up. John McCain calls this socialism. I call it opportunity, and there is nothing more American than that."

North Dallas Thirty - shouldn't you be out helping your boss instead of astro-turfing blogs?

Look, more stupid people with ropes: http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/26872774/

Got any more campaign workers to lie about getting mugged? http://elections.foxnews.com/2008/10/23/mccain-volunteer-says-mugged-b-carved-face/

"Oh, and markl., ET, Lala, mary..."
Jarp!, Spart! Chrissie!
You puppies quit your yapping and get back under the porch!

North Dallas Thirty - shouldn't you be out helping your boss instead of astro-turfing blogs?

LOL.....wouldn't the same apply to you -- unless, of course, your job IS to go astroturf blogs?

Meanwhile, as to your link, notice the very first paragraph.

"Students and school leaders at a small Christian university expressed outrage Wednesday at the discovery of a life-size cardboard effigy of Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama hanging from a tree on campus."

Followed by:

"We will not tolerate such displays and condemn it in the strongest terms," Baker said."

Show me where the Obama campaign, the gay community, and liberal Obama supporters like yourself have condemned such behavior and demanded punishment for the individuals who did this.

Oops, hasn't happened. Instead, you're saying it's OK because someone else hung an Obama effigy. Just like why you and your fellow Obama supporters were making death threats against Dan Riehl.

Meanwhile, explain why you and your fellow Obama supporters think whites should be banned from voting.

http://www.philly.com/inquirer/opinion/20081026_White_people_shouldn_t_be_allowed_to_vote.html

I loved your recap of the McCain interview with Brokaw. Just wanted to point out that not only did Reagan raise taxes during a recession, but Bill Clinton raised taxes in 1993 a year after his election. We were mired in the worst recession since the depression at the time. Not one GOP Congressman or Senator voted for Clinton’s tax raise at the time and they all claimed it would ruin the economy, the same as now. Well, as you know, Bill raised taxes and we saw the greatest growth in our history along with record surpluses that will probably never be equaled. Under Reagan we saw the beginning of the deregulation era that brought us the savings and loan crisis, the Enron debacle and this current banking crisis that we find ourselves in today. When Reagan took office in 1980 our total debt was under 1 trillion dollars. Today it is 11 trillion and we had surpluses under Clinton. So under Reagan, Bush 1 and Bush 2 we increased our national debt from 1 trillion to 11 trillion.

It’s time that everybody realized that Milton Friedman and Reaganomics is a totally failed policy and until we do realize it, we are doomed to keep repeating it. It’s remarkable that more so called experts have not addressed the failed “deregulation” policies of the GOP as the main contributor to this collapse of our banking system.

I assume it's satire. If not, he's an idiot. And the paper should have never published the piece. BFD, there's idiots on both sides.

Yeah, death threats are stupid, ugly and inexcusable. But when you suggest Obama may murder his grandmother, you shouldn't be surprised at the ugliness that comes back.

That statement of condemnation came from the school, not McCain.

Worst decision by McCain? Hiring Rove's accolytes who destroyed whatever good he had left in him. For the ugly campaign they've run, they all deserve to lose.

"Well, as you know, Bill raised taxes and we saw the greatest growth in our history along with record surpluses that will probably never be equaled."

All of which, as we now know, was based on a ridiculous overvaluing of tech stocks and what could only be called "optimistic" projections of tax revenue.

Oddly enough, despite Bush cutting taxes in the period 2001 - 2003, last year we set an all-time Federal record in terms of tax receipts, with a year-over-year jump of over 11%.

http://www.cbsnews.com/stories/2007/05/10/national/main2787123.shtml

That's because, jharp, welfare addicts don't understand this basic concept; people having more money in their weekly paychecks to spend makes for better living for them and better revenues at the businesses where they spend this money. As those businesses expand to meet demand, they pay their workers more and hire more people, both of which add to income tax amounts.

But Obama doesn't believe in giving people more money in their paychecks. He believes that people should only earn fixed amounts whether they work or not and that people should depend on the government for the bulk of their money. That's why he supports "tax credits" that vanish as peoples' salaries increase, which means that working more earns you the same amount as simply sitting on welfare.
