MEDIA BIAS ROBS AMERICANS OF THE TRUTH
... NOW, AP IS UNFARILY PLAYING THE RACE CARD ...
The media’s continual bias in favor of Obama is not only disgusing, it’s against everything that America, a Free Press, and Freedom of Speech stands for. To suggest that there is no media bias in favor of Obama not only robs Americans of the truth, it insults the intelligence of the American people.
TALK IS CHEAP … CHECK OBAMA’S RECORD !!!
A candidate’s track record, and associations are always a legitimate issue when running for President. Let’s take a look at the qualifications, judgement, and experience of Obama, who is running for President. Obama had 25 years to fulfill the potential he displayed as a rising start at Harvard Law School … and, how did he live up to that potential? … He chose to align himself with anti-American racist, Jeremiah Wright for TWENTY YEARS … along with Ferrahkan, Rezko, Ayers, and others. As a community organizer, he registered thousands of voters in Chicago … then, when he ran for the state legislature, he took away their votes, by disqualifying his opponent (a black woman) on a technicality. As a U.S. Senator, he voted present 160 times … he never called a meeting on the Afghanistan committee he chaired (although he NOW says we must shift all our military from Iraq to Afghanistan). He claimed Foreign Policy experience from a 9 day whirlwind photo op to 6 countries. And, he spent almost half of his tenure neglecting his responsibilities as a U.S. Senator, so he could run for President. Senator McCain served America honorably for 22 years in the military. He proved his love for America, as well as his honor, integrity and character, by refusing early release as a P.O.W., even while being tortured. He served America as a ‘contributing’ U.S. Senator, working across the aisle, for 20 years. If Obama’s Twentyfive year track record shows he lacks judgement, and can’t be trusted, who cares what he says about Health Care and the Economy! What Obama never learned is Character. He simply can’t be trusted … ask Jeremiah Wright, a friend of 20 years, who Obama betrayed for personal ambition … and, you Obama supporters really think he won’t betray you If he gets elected??? If he gets elected, you Obama supporters will be facing a HUGE disillusionment !!!

I get it seek. It's my fault for mentioning that I have a daughter with a handicap.

Thought I'd repost Sac's post as he had was polite enough to do the same.

“Notice how he claims to be a great golfer, be the parent of two fine children, wait, one of those children is handicapped, travels the world, makes enough money he doesn’t have to work….”

LOL!!

Comment by SacTownMan — 10/2/2008 @ 11:16 pm

He somehow thought it'd be a good idea to jump in and spread an out and out fucking lie that I made fun of a down's child.

Sac, you can go fuck yourself. I never have, nor would I ever consider making fun of a handicapped child.

You are a vile and repulsive fucking pig to accuse me of such a thing.

mj: What flavor of DNC Kool-aid have you been consuming? What racism is being stoked by Republicans? That The One is a mortal whose record is that of an ultra liberal with no history of running anything other than his mouth?

Kerry was a piece of s*#t who badmouthed his fellow veterans as baby killers and rapists. That Kerry is a "war hero" to you shows that there they are making that Kool-Aid with leftover bong water.

"--- The Republican party is full of lies and deception. They hide behind the motto of "country first", when in fact the only thing they care about is personal gain at any cost. ---"

So do the Dems.

Pot, meet kettle.

Both parties have proven to be a blight upon this Republic: the Democrats are beyond a shadow of a doubt the most corrupt group of kleptocrats since the cabal of KGB operatives who took over Russia.

The GOP is nearly as bad off, but has an outside chance (though very, very slim) of being reformed.

What we need is a second revolution (prayerfully a bloodless one, though the Liberty Tree is long overdue for a watering) where conservative constitutionalists bring the party back to the ideals of Jefferson and the other Founding Fathers.

Bring the party - and the Nation - back to the Constitution.

"--- I get it seek. It's my fault for mentioning that... ---"

This will likely be my last comment on the matter, as it is none of my business -- but yeah, I generally wouldn't recommend volunteering information about one's own private family affairs on the internet.

Sort of an "Internet Best Practices 101" kind of thing.

And I can agree that bringing someone else's children - handicapped or otherwise - as an object of attack for a political discussion is not a very kind thing to do, regardless of *who* starts or finishes it.

And that's a "let's keep things civil, even if we disagree" kind of thing.

Has anyone ever noticed that liberals are invariably foul mouthed, and ignorant of history?

"This will likely be my last comment on the matter, as it is none of my business"

Don't blame you and sorry for dragging you into it.

I guess I was just pretty pissed off about Sac laughing that my daughter somehow wasn't for sure a fine kid because of her handicap after Sac and others accused me of making fun of a handicapped child.

Sac is lowlife scum for lying that I made fun of a handicapped person and worse when he posted LOL about my daughter not being a fine kid for being less than perfect.

Peace to you, seeker.

Fuck you. SacTownMan.

McCain is being put in a terrible position. Since the MSM refuses to publish anything negative about his opponent and, since he himself, is preempting any attacks by stating that McCain will engage in personal attacks to avoid the issue, then it will be tough for McCain to say anything.

The other disturbing thing I'm reading about is McCain's opponent's use of the courts. Apparently he uses the justice system very effectively against any detractors. Sort of the beginning of a banana republic type of situation only in plain sight using our law as a shield.

These comments trying to link Obama to terrorist are tinged with racism. It's taking the view of terrorists, as dark skinned foreigners, that many people have in our country and trying to link Obama to them. They are trying to play off the fear that Obama is black and he might be friends with those types of people. They are using the color of his skin to attack him and it's racist.

If Bill Ayers is such a dangerous American, then why isn't he in Guantanamo Bay? Ayers did stuff when Obama was 8. Obama and Ayers worked on education together. It's a non issue.

"Kerry was a piece of s*#t"
And still you smear the record of a decorated war hero. A man that fought for your freedom and instead you try to belittle his service. That sure is putting country first. It's pathetic. You should be ashamed.

McCain has already lost to Obama. If he wants to win the election, he must run against the most unpopular Congress in history, systemic corruption in Washington and the news media ("Why haven't they told you ...?" "The media attacks on Gov.Palin are ...."). The public despises all three.

Riehl is right. McC doesn't get it.

McC was exonerated by the Democrat counsel for the Senate Ethics Committee in the Keating deal. If the Obots use it, McC's response should be "Yeah and Obama's really a muslim." Despite the right's capitulation on that issue, the evidence is actually better than the evidence for McC's culpability in the Keating mess.

Damn Harpo you just keep on with your hate little man!

Still cutting and pasting to make your arguments? By eliminating the actual post itself you must have hoped to convince folks here that you are some kind of victim.

Here's the actual link to the complete thread. There are dozens of negative resposes to your hateful comments about an innocent baby that did nothing more than to beborn to a conservative woman.

Here is the FULL post that I made that night. You even tried to use moonbat talking point #10 "That was taken out of context". In the post that night I used a line of text from one of the reglars that said you brag there about being a world traveler and independantly wealthy. Now this is important, the entire post concerns your bullshit about your world traveler/independantly wealthy claims, nothing more.

"Notice how he claims to be a great golfer, be the parent of two fine children, wait, one of those children is handicapped, travels the world, makes enough money he doesn’t have to work….”

LOL!!

You actually bought his crap!

Most of these troll losers like to pretend they are world travelers. As far as money it doesn’t take that much to buy a cold pack of Bud Light, get drunk and post the hate he does.

Here is my post welcoming him back tonight:

http://www.riehlworldview.com/carnivorous_conservative/2008/10/sarah-rocked-su.html#comment-133191341

To which our favorite troll replied “you jackass?”

Soon after he left this little leftist turd for another regular,

“I’m losing my patience here. Do you even understand the concept of a scientific poll, you stupid fuck?”

So how long has he been trolling around here. He literally could drop thirty to forty of his little three line barbs in a single thread.

Independently wealthy now hey Harpo. This guy is Freaking Priceless! Please take him back!

Comment by SacTownMan — 10/2/2008 @ 11:16 pm

Harpo not one line in my post referenced your child or any hatefull coments made by me towards your family at any time. In order to highlight the TWO items I did comment on I used the quote directly as the poster typed it. Unlike you I don't believe in plaugerizing someone else's work or attempt to edit another persons post like you tried to do in order to completely change the facts!

Anyone here can go read your rantings for themselves.

It's time for you to crawl back under your rock!

It will be quite difficult, and is almost now impossible for McCain to even try that approach.

With McCain's unwavering support of HR 1452 (now ifficially the law of the land) - the absolutely worst economic idea since the Smoot-Hawley Tariff Act of 1930, he has added his name to the most backstabbingly-vile collection of congressmembers ever to take their seats in our Capitol Hill.

By failing to vote against this tragedy of a legislation, he has proven all his talk of wielding his veto pen against Congressional Pork to be so much hot air.

And people are really voting for this person ? Do people not have a brain anymore? What is wrong with America ?

Obama's Marxist Axis Of Friends

When one looks at Obama, it's shocking how radical and anti-American his closest associates are. Taken separately, the black liberation theology of the Rev. Jeremiah Wright, or fundraiser William Ayers' unrepentant past as a 1960s terrorist or Obama's openly pro-Che Guevara volunteers in Houston might be dismissed.

But taken together, and given Obama's closeness to his friends, it's fair to ask whether Obama doesn't share their extreme-left views. Yet whenever he's asked, he gets mad and avoids the issue.

Maybe that's not surprising, given that Obama himself began his career as a Chicago community organizer and worked on projects there influenced by Saul Alinsky. The Marxist Machiavellian of the Chicago scene advised budding revolutionaries in his 1971 book "Rules For Radicals" to conceal their radical affiliations to attain greater power. That works well for Marxists.

But Obama's friends seem to be giving him away. If this sounds extreme, take a look at some of the activities of Obama's associates: Wright is an adherent of black liberation theology, an explicitly Marxist interpretation of the Bible whose aim is to stir up class and race hatred to advance communism. Created by a rifle-toting Peruvian priest in the 1960s, it's now discredited in religious circles. "Liberation theology isolates a few verses, takes them out of context, and then exaggerates their meaning," said the Rev. Bob Schenk of the National Clergy Council, on "Hannity's America" last weekend.

But Wright clings to it. And recently, he loudly praised the Marxist Sandinista dictatorship of Nicaragua.

Not by coincidence, Sandinista leader Daniel Ortega, Nicaragua's president, endorses Obama. "This is not to say that there is already a revolution under way in the U.S. . . . But yes, (Obama and friends) are laying the foundations for a revolutionary change," said Ortega. If that's not enough, Wright's also made pilgrimage to Cuban dictator Fidel Castro in Havana in 1984, alongside the Rev. Jesse Jackson. Cuban-American writer Humberto Fontova noted Jackson and his entourage cheered "Viva Fidel" and "Viva Che Guevara" on the $300,000 trip paid for by the Cuban Council of Churches.

Then there's Obama's friend ex-Weather Underground terrorist Bill Ayers, another Marxist. Not only did Ayers set off terrorist bombs against "the establishment" with no regrets during the 1960s, he told the New York Times "we didn't do enough."

Now it's come to light that he posed for a photo in Chicago magazine in 2001, stomping on a U.S. flag in an article flogging his terrorist memoir, "Fugitive Days." At the time Ayers was touting his anti-Americanism, Obama served with him on the Woods Fund board and Ayers made a $200 donation to Obama's state Senate campaign.

Ayers has since lectured the Marxist dictator of Venezuela, Hugo Chavez, on using public education as an instrument for advancing "revolution." Meanwhile his stepson, Chesa Boudin, has gone to Caracas as an "adviser" to the anti-American Chavez.

Oh, by coincidence, Chavez and Castro are two of the dictators Obama said he'd like to give face time as president of the U.S.

It gets worse when one looks at Obama's political organization.

Obama's own Web site has held at least 15 favorable mentions of Che Guevara, according to a count by blogger Henry Gomez.

When an Obama precinct captain in Houston flew a Cuban flag bearing Guevara's likeness, Obama said only it "disappointed" him and "does not reflect (his) views." He never publicly ordered the flag down, nor rejected Guevara's blood-soaked communism. Another Obama supporter, acting in Obama's name, secretly contacted Colombia's Marxist FARC terror chief Raul Reyes to tell him that Obama would cut off U.S. military aid to Colombia to hinder its war against FARC, as well as deny Colombia free trade, a strategy FARC considers key to overturning Colombia's democracy. If Obama repudiated that secret messenger, we didn't hear it. Some pundits dismiss Obama's ties with radicals as an opportunistic association with Chicago political machines to advance his career. But the depth and breadth of the contacts seem deeper. Obama himself has promised to meet with the hemisphere's Marxist dictators who have systematically dismantled or are in the process of dismantling democracy all across our hemisphere. This stinks, frankly. Why does someone who says he represents "change" have so many Jurassic Marxists in his camp calling the shots?

This really says it well:

"Eyes Wide Shut!!"

Very informative perspective from Richard W. Rahn, senior fellow at the Cato Institute and chairman of the Institute for Global Economic Growth.

SURPRISED BY THE OBVIOUS

Written by Richard Rahn

Wednesday, 24 September 2008

Are all too many in the global political class doltish, or do they just appear that way? The current financial meltdown has revealed an amazing number of revelations from people who were surprised by the obvious.

For years, liberal Democrats in Congress and some Republicans pushed for banks and other institutions to make home loans to unqualified borrowers, and suddenly we find many of these people cannot repay their loans.

The reaction from members of Congress, like the "surprised" Speaker Nancy Pelosi, is to demand investigation of "greedy bankers," while ignoring the fact that it was her (democrat) colleagues who created the Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) that required the banks to lend to people who were poor credit risks in the name of "housing rights." A Chicago "public interest" lawyer named Barack Hussein Obama was active in this movement.

A majority of members of Congress seemed to be surprised that Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac became insolvent when many of the subprime mortgages they had been pressured to buy (by members of their oversight committees such as Barney Frank and Chris Dodd) became nonperforming.

Some members of Congress (including John McCain) did try to pass legislation to limit the size of Fannie and Freddie, but it was blocked by - surprise, surprise - Rep. Frank and Sens. Dodd, Charles Schumer, Barack Obama, who just happened to have taken major contributions from Freddie and Fannie.

Mr. Obama was particularly surprised when some charged that his nonsupport of the reform legislation might have had something to do with the fact he was the second-largest recipient of campaign donations from Fannie Mae over the last three years. Oh my, how could we possibly think such a thing?

It only gets worse. Most members of Congress seemed surprised that voters think the huge campaign contributions many of them received from Fannie and Freddie might have something to do with the now all too apparent lack of congressional oversight of the two mortgage giants.

The endlessly surprised Mrs. Pelosi ranted against the "privatization of profits and the socialization of costs" in Fannie and Freddie. She must have forgotten that Fannie and Freddie was created and overseen by Congress, and staffed by political appointees (former Fannie CEO Franklin Raines was Bill Clinton's budget chief), and had an implicit (and now explicit) guarantee from the federal government.

Alan Greenspan seems to have been surprised to find out that when he kept interest rates below the rate of inflation, banks over-borrowed and were less careful as to how they lent or invested the money. This "surprise" occurred despite the fact many warned of the consequence.

Former and thoroughly disgraced New York Attorney General and Gov. Eliot Spitzer and his political supporters seemed to have been surprised to learn the company would run into difficulty when they forced out the very able and highly regarded Hank Greenberg as head of AIG (the world's largest insurance company) - on bogus charges of criminality (which have now been dismissed by the courts) - and saddled the company with less competent management and unwarranted huge fines.

Rather than protect AIG stockholders, the government raped them.

Political officials outside the United States are also endlessly surprised. For instance, the Russian prime minister seems to be surprised that the Russian stock market has fallen to half its value in May - just because Vladimir Putin has eroded the legal and property rights of private firms, invaded Georgia, and threatened other countries and outside investors.

British Prime Minister Gordon Brown seems surprised that businesses and international business people are fleeing London just because he increased their taxes. He also seems to be surprised the flight has hurt the British economy.

The French, German, Italian and leaders of other high-tax states seem to be endlessly surprised that their citizens will go to great lengths to put their money in less punitive and higher growth economies elsewhere, despite increasing attempts to punish them for looking out for their own self-interest.

Predictable surprises to come: Mr. Obama, if elected, will be greatly "surprised" that his increased taxes on capital gains, businesses and higher-income individuals result in less revenue for government because of the downturn in economic activity and job loss that results from his tax increases.

Michigan's Democratic Sen. Carl Levin and his colleagues, including Mr. Obama, who are supporting greater restrictions on U.S. investment abroad and higher taxes on U.S.-based international companies, will be very "surprised" when their actions cause not less but more capital flight from the United States and more businesses to move or be formed outside the United States.

Some politicians are "surprised" at the obvious because they are ignorant. However, many more are "surprised" because immediate gratification, whether applause or votes, is more important to them than being responsible, and others are "surprised" because they are just plain corrupt.

Being "surprised by the obvious" happens in democratic countries because the media are too fearful, ignorant or biased to ask the tough questions beforehand, and because the population doesn't understand the second-order effects of political actions.

In the private sector, those with fiduciary responsibilities can be fined or even sent to jail if they are surprised by the obvious. Given the great suffering caused by the fiscal mismanagement by the political class, should not the private sector penalties apply to them?

The Republican Party needs to get its act together. If they do this and go back to their roots--small government, no handouts, trust the individual--and stop their focus on social issues like gay marriage then they may retake the House and Senate in 2010....unless Obama has invoked martial law by then [you can thank Bush for so handily setting the precedents for a president to grab all power in the name of national security]...the country will see Obama for the sham socialist radical that he is.

I don't know why Wright hasn't been made a campaign issue, my god, the man's 20 year spiritual mentor is a flat out racist and he gives one speech about it and then puts it behind him.

What is happening to McCain supporters? So many have told me today, "it's over". One even said he was going to vote for Obama cause he is angry with McCain (he was really angry). Doesn't everyone remember that it wasn't smooth sailing into a second term for bush?

How about reporting Sarah's links with the Jon Birch Society...

now repeat after me: President Obama President Obama...who will have a completely Democraticlly controlled Congress...now thats the Real World

You are totally delusional ed. With a "president Obama" we will have socialism and a distribution of wealth that we could not even imagine. You are dealing with someone who was raised by a communist and basically hasn't got a clue.

We won't have socialism and distribution of wealth any different than we do now regardless of who is elected. There is no liberal majority that would be able to pass any such thing considered to be "socialism and a distribution of wealth that we could not even imagine."
---
McCain's goose is cooked. The only thing that could save him would be to switch parties to independent and that would be risky at best.

There is nothing he can say about Obama that will sway voters. Republicans have no credibility anymore and people just aren't buying the maverick baloney.

"--- How about reporting Sarah's links with the Jon Birch Society... ---"

You make that sound as if that is actually a *bad* thing. The JBS has plenty of great ideas that the GOP could put to good use.

Like getting us out of NATO and the UN. Reducing spending. Bringing ALL of our troops home, and out from the over 130 foreign countries they have been stationed at unconstitutionally. Reducing taxes across all levels.

"--- Worst person (Keith Olbermann) in the world is now certifiable. ---"

Big shock on that one... that guy has been around the bend for some time.

"--- The Republican Party needs to get its act together. ---"

This is why I am convinced we will regret, as a party, the utter rejection of Dr. Ron Paul's message of liberty and Constitutionalism.

Read about Dr. Paul's ideas at the Campaign for Liberty ( http://www.campaignforliberty.com ) or check out his book "The Revolution: A Manifesto"
