Here is an LA Times item on plumber Joe Wurzelbacher.
Also, Wurzelbacher is not licensed as a plumber, and the plumbers union is mad at him. Fame comes with a price. In Wurzelbacher's case, it's about $1,182, the amount of the lien the state of Ohio has placed on his property for personal income taxes he owes.
Meanwhile, Barack Obama wants to be president and the LA Times is said to be in posession of a video with him at a function with terrorist sympathizer Rashid Khalidi.
Brit Hume reported on the Obama-Khalidi tape that the LA Times is concealing from the American public on The Grapevine tonight.
They can publish every piece of dirt trolled up on a plumber, but as far as a man who purports to be ready to be the leader of the free world - apparently that's just not news.
It really doesn't get any more in the tank than that.

all the gop need do is find a woman who worked with obama who will testify that he put a pubic hair on her can of coke.
the irony of joe biden having to dismiss her as loser would be worth the price of admission.

Now you know why Xerxes has these guys in the tank! I can see him enacting the old "fairness doctrine" and "spreading some wealth" on the LA Slimes, NY Slimes, Washington Compost and the other MSM rags with a little government bailout.
It's not just a coincidence that he keeps whining about Fox. He and his puppet masters want to control all dissent. Sounds a tad bit like Pravda.
Without the moonbats in charge these rags are going down faster than J-me at a San Francisco street fair!

Bloomberg has suddenly turned. They have their interesting new poll results out but they are now interviewing the president of ACORN and giving her way too much time with way too few questions.

Fairness. That's an interesting idea. Let's try it:
During the 1990s, while he served as chairman of the International Republican Institute (IRI), McCain distributed several grants to the Palestinian research center co-founded by Khalidi, including one worth half a million dollars.

I think a half million bucks trumps a toast.

Jews for McCain - Obama is a flip-flopper
http://www.theyeshivaworld.com/article.php?p=25073
excerpt
But just one day after Obama told AIPAC that “Jerusalem must remain undivided,” he reversed himself in reaction to criticism from the Arab world and said that he would put the unity and sovereignty of Yerushalayim back on the negotiating table. During the presidential campaign, Obama has often declared his support for Israel, particularly when speaking before Jewish audiences. But according to Chicago media reports, while Obama was an Illinois state senator, he often attended Palestinian and Arab-American community events, and called for a more “even-handed” US government approach to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.
We are also troubled by Obama’s rogues gallery of former friends and supporters, and his failure to adequately explain his association with them.
Some of Obama’s most influential foreign policy advisors have openly predicted that he will increase American pressure on Israel for concessions in the peace process once he enters the Oval Office.
Unlike Obama, McCain remains unwilling to negotiate with Iran’s president as long as he remains publicly committed to Israel’s destruction, and can be trusted to take the firm action required to protect Israel from the threat of a nuclear-armed Iran.

I'm starting to think it would be better for latimes NOT to release the tape...
they aren't denying its existence, just the right of the public to see it.
fits well with the meme that the press is covering for obama, and the right wing pundits can portray the transcript in a far more nefarious light.
can't waut for the latimes to make the argument that the conservative pundits are exagerating, but refusing to give the proof. It would actually be seen as a confirmation of the nature of it.

Dan...its simples. Due to affirmative action the white guy is picked apart and held to a higher standard by the media and the black man (in Barrys case 1/2 black man) is given a free ride because as the liberals claim at Princeton cocktail parties "It will be grand to have one of THOSE people as president wont it?"
Barry Hussein - more proof that affirmative action doesnt work

I am sooooo tired of "Joe the Plumber". I realize this guy has no license, but what they charge for a simple fix is truly disgusting. Pity the poor middle class schmoo who cannot afford to have his plumbing fixed. Does Joe or one of his kind ever say - so sorry, here let me do it for you for what you can afford. That would be the day. I guess my sympathies would go to Mel the Mower,Grumpy the Cop, Toby the Teacher, Nan the Nurse.

Inspector General Thomas P. Charles also is investigating why the director of the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services approved a check on Wurzelbacher through the state's child-support computer system.
Director Helen Jones-Kelley said that after a "team meeting," she OK'd the check because the department often runs inquiries to check for unpaid child support on people thrust into "the public spotlight."
Is that disgusting, or what? They actually held a "team meeting" to decide to spy on Wurzelbacher on Obama's behalf. As it happens, Wurzelbacher doesn't pay child support, but they apparently thought there was no harm in checking. The Director of the Department of Job and Family Services denies that she was trying to help Obama:

Where is this rasmussen poll? The one on their website still says five. All the while Obama is expanding leads in states like NH where a new poll has Obama up by 25pts...25pts? I thought it was crazy (I kinda still do) but another poll out yesterday had NH at +18 for Obama. Clearly it looks like he's riding the coattails of Shaheen and Gov. Lynch who looks to take 70%+ of the vote. Anyone who refers to NH as anything but a blue state anymore is on the pipe.

Is this true? Obama worried about Pennsylvania
ctober 29th, 2008 at 8:43 am
Boston Globe: Obama “Worried” About Pennsylvania
» by Bill Dupray in: Barack Obama, Conservatives, Pennsylvania, Polls
Whenever we post anything like this indicating that The Messiah could possibly lose a state, especially Pennsylvania, Obama’s morons come out of the woodwork to mock and gloat and talk about Obama’s impending Earth-shattering Mother-of-all-landslides. The one thing you can take to the bank is that The Bots are in utter denial that Obambi could lose on Tuesday.
So this morning we have the well-known right-wing rag, The Boston Globe, starting to wring its hands about Obama’s chances in the Keystone State. There is plenty of the “Obama is still firmly in the driver’s seat,” but that smile is starting to look a little forced.

From a link at Kausfiles: A poll said this amendment would be defeated by 10%.
The results were off by over 110%. When a poll says X will win and Y actually wins, the poll is wrong by at least 100%, not the margin of defeat only. The rest is BS.

I am NOT a socialist & I do not decide how much the plumber can charge. The plumber's union does that. I just had a job done - no parts - just labor for $300 - went a bit over an 2 hours. Pretty good wage. My kid has an MBA and it is amazing that this group of people in his life do not know how to do any practical stuff around the house whatsoever.
Tell me, Lala, why is your group calling people socialists when this country has always had programs for the lower or non-earning people? ASAMOF, what about public schools? What about medicare and medicade?
And yes, how about the people who impoverish their parents so that when nursing home time comes, medicaid pays. There are so many of them around - and proud of it too. When one is on the receiving end of this largesse, I call them pigs - your definition?

chris: "The era of incompetence is coming to an end."
Not at all, it may just be beginning. From Jammiewearingfool blog:
"With the state’s finances souring, Gov. David A. Paterson in July took an important step to control the spiraling costs of government: a hiring freeze for state agencies.
But since the July 30 freeze was declared, 31,684 people have been hired by agencies, according to a Buffalo News analysis of payroll records provided by the state comptroller’s office.
The records do not include hiring at hundreds of state authorities whose payrolls are not maintained by the comptroller."
And the good Governor is going begging for help to...waiting...waiting...THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT.

I'm a regular reader here and have been for years, though I rarely post. BTW, all the registered voters at my house voted for Obama. I have 4 children, with 2 old enough to vote. Uh no, Obama will not get our votes again. They will go to John McCain. In all honesty, we never had any intention of ever voting for Obama in the general election. We wanted to knock HRC out of the race, and the nomination had already been won by a Republican candidate anyway. Believe us, we wish we could go back and vote for HRC instead, after seeing what Obama could do to this country. I don't really care what the polls are saying. I seem to recall prior pre-election polls that were off, shall we say? The election was won by the trailing candidate in the polls. The encouraging thing for me is the fact that Obama just can't seem to "close the deal" My Gawd, he's had everything at his disposal. The MSM is in the tank for him, and he still can't close the deal? That spells trouble for him. That means that there is just something about him that Americans are not comfortable with. Oh yeah, Americans have noticed that he's been handled with kid gloves and wonder why. It makes them uneasy, too. That uneasiness with Obama will only be exacerbated in the oncoming days. They will vote for the candidate they feel comfortable with, even if they're not particulary thrilled with him. The election will be won by John McCain.

Watching the Obama rally on CNN. Doesn't this guy get tired of saying the same speech over and over? He is trashing wall street big time. What I don't get is why doesn't the McCain campaign call him on his comments about statements allegedly made by McCain campaign high staffers. BO never names names and just rattles this stuff off and no one questions him. Like BO, who said that? On a blog, they would ask him for a link. On the stump no one asks anything.
Posted by: mary | Wednesday, October 29, 2008 at 12:35 PM
Another fainter. Why do people always "faint out" as BO says at his rallies?
Never really watched him. A lot of lies, yet, he accuses McCain of lieing and making up his tax plan? Jobs that can't be outsourced? Do these people really believe that? They should talk to workers in areas who watched their jobs slowly trickle away to overseas. North Caroliniana just seem to want to hear what they want to hear whether it makes sense or not.
"I will stop the insurance companies from ever again discriminating from those who are sick"? How BO?
Posted by: mary | Wednesday, October 29, 2008 at 12:47 PM
""I will stop the insurance companies from ever again discriminating from those who are sick"? How BO?"
Answer: in the same way he and his fellow Democrats manage Medicare -- by paying out every claim whether it's valid or not.
"On an FBI undercover tape, the fraud was plain to see: A patient came to a South Florida AIDS clinic, signed some papers, walked into an office and was handed $150 in cash. She politely thanked the workers and left, her visit to the doctor finished without ever receiving any treatment.
According to records seized by investigators, the office staff (who was assured of the patient's cooperation) used her name to fraudulently bill Medicare for a list of expensive treatment and medications.
Law enforcement officials said it's just one of the many widespread, organized and lucrative schemes to bilk Medicare out of an estimated $60 billion dollars a year — a staggering cost borne by American taxpayers."

I figure target numbers shoudl be in line with the 39 million pro-dems who voted in 06, and will clearly vote in 08.
will all of them watch it? no, but the 'new voters' we hear so much about should pick up the slack.
it will be a bust if it is below 30 million, and a disaster below 25 mil.

Magdi Allam the Egyptian born ex-Muslim who the Pope had sensationally converted to Christianity on national TV last Easter, has come out against one of the Pope's Cardinals, who has said that Islam is a religion of peace and that some Muslims have betrayed Islam. Mr. Allam has said that terrorism is breed from Islam and the actions of Mohammad . I say that we take the word of the ex-Muslim over the either politically correct or ignorant Cardinal.

"Duh! This is the first day they've included 3rd party candidates."
so basically all previous polls did not offer the same choices that one would find on a ballot...
this helps obama, how?
looked at the gallup numbers for vote by race...
both traditional and new model have undecideds at 4/5%.
white undecideds? 6/7%, which would also mean than minorities/decided is small as a % and as a demographic.
also, a few nuggets in the survey usa poll from ohio...for what the numbers are actualy worth.
mccain was posting 12% among african americans. Weren't they going for obama on the 91-4 scale reported by gallup?
77% of 04 vote...obama hasn't seelad the deal thus far, how's he going to do it now?
.77*.065= is a potential 5pt pickup for mccain.
even if obama swing 40% of those undecideds, still a 1.5 boost.
definitely some number he can close with.
