I'd rather have 45% support from people who will show up, versus the 55% who believe that their vote is registered when the pollster calls.

Bush had a 22% increase in votes...not a single pollster predicted the level and nature of the turnout. The media was obsessed with the belief that high turnout favored Kerry, and they fell flat on theri faces.

This kind of thing makes me ashamed to be a black person. Most black people in America are only supporting Obama because he's black and there are a good number of them who are too dumb to even know the simplest of facts about him or Biden. Before voting, every person should have to answer a simple question about the candidate (e.g., "Who is Barack Obama's running mate?"). If they don't know the answer, they shouldn't be allowed to vote! I think it's a brilliant idea that should be implemented.
