Congressman Murthas has yet to apologize for calling American troops cold-blooded murderers. Murtha is currently struggling in the polls. Sure would be sweet to bump him out of Congress.

I can't imagine why anybody, after all that he's said, would be insane enough to still vote for Murtha.

this latest ibd poll is a thing of beauty-if true.
http://www.ibdeditorials.com/series13.aspx?src=POLLTOPN
it provides the blueprint for mccain to win.
first off...rural v. urban.
rural 24% of the 04 electorate, large cities and modderate size cities were 32%, but half the modest size cities will actually help mccain(04-49/49), weakening the size of that 32.
mccain is up 32 pts in rural, which actually a better margin than bush got in 04, winning by only 14 pts. mcCain is sitting on a tremendous numbers. obama only has a 20 pt lead in urban areas.
if mccain can get good turnout at these numbers, he would actually nullify and very possibly win in a battle of the two polar opposites.
he will fight to a draw at worst, and the vote falls to the suburbs.
14% undecided in the suburbs, and mccain is tie 42-43. Win it, and he is the next president.
yes, this poll is just one of many shadows on the wall, but is very doable.
This poll is filled with gems, and a few danger points(single women to name one), but the fulcrum that mccain can put this on is clear. Rural voters hate obama. The income divide actually show that mccain is doing worse among 50-75k(49-42), than he is among 30-50(47-42)k. He has to hammer this group down, but sondiering he has them even with the lower bracket suggests he has room to grow.
the splits on income are also there for the taking
I used the cnn demographics for comparison.

Murtha is a old washed up loon. I hope he gets his ass kicked this time.
Stupid creep. He will call for a recount if he loses and will say the election was rigged. LOL
While I am on a roll, "that one" sure has the Audacity to do a 30 minute ad on TV with him in a room with a desk that looks like the oval office with the window in the background. This man is so desperate it is unreal. A real slimebag. God help us all if he wins this election. Damn socialist, redistribution of weath is nothing more than Reparations for blacks.
" WE WILL CHANGE THIS COUNTRY AND CHANGE THE WORLD." Yeah right ?? You Socialist !!

I couldn't figure out why ABC had declined to air uncle barry's propaganda film tonight...then they open the evening news with a 7 minute "exclusive" softball interview with chuckles gibson.
Now I get it.
I can't wait for the fairness doctrine...ABC would've had to give McCain equal time right?

missed the sermon.
any good?
Posted by: mark l. | Wednesday, October 29, 2008 at 10:18 PM
missed it too. One of the Kool Aid drinkers told me it was "a bunch of back to back commercials". So, if it was supposed to elicit another kind of response it was lost on them. However, the same uber Kool Aid drinker did manage to report to me that McCain was clever as he advertised during the advertisement. It was clever as the Kool Aid drinkers have thus far refused to hear anything about the opposition. So, tonight, they got fair and balanced whether they wanted it or not I guess.

I thought they had more channels, just cbs I see...
commercials?
I'll bet when they bought the spot, they had a completely dffierent version in mind,
envisoning a closing argument. They probably figured out that since he had never given one in real life, it might not work out so well.
one channel, leading into the world series? 15 million, tops. 95% already knew they were voting fof him anyway.
a million bucks for a half hour?
I wonder if cbs would sell me enough time to tell barry,
go f*** yourself.
at 2500 bucks a second, I'd give 12,500 dollars to do it.

Mark, "Just do it" ! I don't think I would use those exact words but I AM SURE YOU COULD COME UP WITH Something meaning the same thing.
I will be watching for it. ???

"Obama outlines plan for national service.
“We cannot continue to rely only on our military in order to achieve the national security objectives that we’ve set,” he said Wednesday. “We’ve got to have a civilian national security force that’s just as powerful, just as strong, just as well funded.”
The Department of Defense’s current base budget is close to $500 billion. So if he meant that promise, he plans on a total defense budget of about a trillion dollars.
What exactly is Obama planning to do with a “civilian force” with such an astronomical level of funding?"

mark, the "event' was supposed to be on 7 outlets, 1 of them univision. Not ABC.
A lot of people were pissed when they didn't find the pre game program of the world series especially with everything that went on with that last game. Funny, the BO campaign criticized McCain for saying something to the effect that he would never delay the world series and the campaign made the network clarify that they weren't delaying the game but, everyone understood what McCain meant. BO appears to know nothing about sports, he has not consideration for the sports fans, he so disrupted their evening with his nonsense.
I've been thinking that the infomercial wasn't for the independents as was advertised. Rather it was to re emphasize "the message" to the base.

"--- I can't wait for the fairness doctrine...ABC would've had to give McCain equal time right? ---"
And Ron Paul would have gotten equal coverage too, instead of being snuffed out or bumped out of the primary debates, no?
And certainly third party candidates from the Green Party, the Constitution Party, or the Libertarian Party would have equal time with the Donks and the Pachyderms, right?
Excuse me whilst I attempt to laugh and puke up a lung at the same time from disbelief...

Bill Russell is having a big final rally Saturday in New Stanton, if anyone is around (see russellbrigade.com for details). Blackfive is organizing folks to go, as are Vets for Freedom, Right to Life, and I forget who else.
