An Official Notice To Overseas Military Voters

Passed along by a reader of a non-linkable military board. As some Va ballots were tossed for this reason and who knows how many others, a post card must be completed and mailed in. It's time sensitive.

The State of Virginia announced that a number of Uniformed Overseas Citizens Absentee Voting Act (UOCAVA) members submitted Federal Write-In Absentee Ballots (FWAB) which will not be counted due to administrative errors. Virginia requires FWABs submitted as both an absentee ballot application and as a voted ballot contain both the witness' signature and the witness' address to be counted in the General Election. Having consulted both FVAP and the Virginia Absentee Voter Office, we recommend that voters who submitted the FWAB as both their application and their ballot complete a Federal Postcard Application (FPCA) and email it to their county voter registration office NLT 1700 28 OCT 08. Once the FPCA arrives, the voted ballot already on hand becomes valid and will be counted. The Army Voting Action Officer is emailing this information to the Senior Voting Assistance Officers (SVAOs) and Installation Voting Assistance Officers (IVAOs) for dissemination and action by voters. See your Unit Voting Assistance Officer (UVAO) for assistance

You pretend they will be voting for McCain and his idiot VP. There is no evidence to support your fantasy.

None. Nada. Zero. Zilch.

I think I read that the Attorney General ordered the ballots to be counted.

That's good. More votes for Obama.

The only military votes Hussein will get is from the Phony soldiers allied with code stink.

We may as well turn to a communist government under Hussein. All states ran by the democrats are already communist by defination. I just hope old jharp and company are ready to join the military. The conservatives will not serve under a communist dictator. I served 22 years in the military and have been a 100% volunteer firefighter/EMT for the past 14 years (come Jan) and I've already got my gear ready to turn in. I will serve in no capacity under Hussein and will help no one who allowed him to be selected (not elected since millions of votes are the result of democrat criminal action) through fraud and criminal actions as POTUS. How many counties now have more registered voters than they have citizens. Don't start harping at me for quitting the volunteer business, get your sorry a** down to any agency which needs volunteer help and put in 30-40 hours per week for no pay. You know that 'maybe' one out of 500 welfare riders you transport to the ER will actually thank you for getting out of bed at 3AM and hauling their drunken/drugged out A** to the ER..

I'm going to start looking for some bailout money and welfare. Anyone know how you get on a few dozen social programs so you end up having more than the guy across the street who works 40-50 hours a week? I know it's out there since you see it every day. Quit work and go on welfare, Hussein will provide you all you want as he promised, won't he?

Travis "Scrapiron" Bickle speaks out!!!!!!!

Hey Scapiron - you're delusional. Obama's not a communist. Nor are the Democrats. And, if he wins, he's not a dictator: He's the democratically elected President of the United States. It's part of living in the US - neither side always wins.

Call Bush, maybe he can help you out. After all, He's the biggest Socialist around.

Yes, and veterans please remember 2 things as you fill out those ballots:

1) Colin Powell's endorsement of Obama.

2) all those stop loss deployments that Bush gave you, fully supported by John McCain.

Thanks for your service !

The thought of a brave warrior/volunteer like scrapiron being reduced to waiting for his monthly welfare check and wandering the aisles of the local walmart muttering about his fellow welfare recipients.

Well scrapiron, thank you for your service! Considering how you've already figured how to live off the public dole you'll be well ahead of the rest of the pack under the Hussein administration. Well played!

geesh...the creeps are out in force...WPE, boob, jaime, harpist. Apparently no good porn on cinemax tonight.

Porn on cinemax? How 1988! For a wildly successful SMALL businessman, you're pretty out of touch. Hey, and while I've got you - how about working a little harder - a LOT of people are counting on those extra tax revenues.

Semper Fi, job-creating patriot! A grateful nation thanks you!

"Reagan's landslide challenges the pulse-taker profession

For weeks before the presidential election, the gurus of public opinion polling were nearly unanimous in their findings. In survey after survey, they agreed that the coming choice between President Jimmy Carter and Challenger Ronald Reagan was "too close to call." A few points at most, they said, separated the two major contenders.

But when the votes were counted, the former California Governor had defeated Carter by a margin of 51% to 41% in the popular vote—a rout for a U.S. presidential race. In the electoral college, the Reagan victory was a 10-to-l avalanche that left the President holding only six states and the District of Columbia.

After being so right for so long about presidential elections—the pollsters' findings had closely agreed with the voting results for most of the past 30 years—how could the surveys have been so wrong?"

"Where the Polls Went Wrong"
http://www.time.com/time/magazine/article/0,9171,924541,00.html?promoid=googlep

"The other lesson of the polling season was that the experts have by no means perfected the questions or the techniques that enable them to predict how undecided or unhappy voters will go on Election Day.

One puzzling phenomenon that the pollsters have not been able to cope with, or even explain thoroughly, is the so-called closet Reaganite. For whatever reason, people clearly voted for Reagan in this election who had said they would not."

from above article.

Reagan made up 10 pts against the polls in the final weekend?

--Porn on cinemax? How 1988!

Sorry. I guess I am a little out of touch in that regard. Still spankin' the monkey on a regular basis. bobby?

--how about working a little harder - a LOT of people are counting on those extra tax revenues.

I always work hard. If obama is elected I will work harder to shelter my money so you and your malingering cohorts (jharp, jaime, chris, worst) don't get any of MY wealth. You all complain that the rich find ways to hide their money from the tax man. Well, you're right. Barry won't get an extra dime from me, nor will you.

--Semper Fi, job-creating patriot! A grateful nation thanks you!

Dude, do you have tourette's or something? I have been following this blog for a couple of years and you are like a broken record. You are not remotely funny, clever, informative or entertaining. I guess it really is all about self-satisfaction for you, like the masturbation problem.

Spank On! Communist!

on 10/26 rassmussen had obama +8.
on 10/27 rassmussen had obama +5.

on 10/23 Zogby had obama +11.9
on 10/27 Zogby had obama +4.8

on 10/25 gallup/traditional obama +7
on 10/27 gallup/traditional obama +5.

aside from the fact that the three polls provide for a 5 pt margin, I'm looking at a trend.

mccain gained 3 in one day, 7.1 in 5 days, 2 in three days...

8 days left. Obama's constituional issues are three days from taking hold in the polls, and are not part of the current trend.

lala-
would have missed the article, without your link.
thanks.

he's right...

I checked out 538, who had a really nice article explaining why the bradley effect no longer exists.

The sad part is they proved it with an off-year election, which fails to consider the 40-50 million americans who will vote in a presidential year, but not on off years. I think there is a bradley effect potential, if only modestly for say 1-3 pts, and then factor in assumption errors made by pollsters, and you have a range of 4-6 pts.

just pointed to 3 prominent polls that show the race closing...

their lead quotes in two seprate articles?

"John McCain is making no progress in his pursuit of the White House."

"What Would 'Tightening' Look Like?"

my favorite part of their site?

"there is a 96.6% chance that obama will win the popular vote."

strangely enough the have another little nugget...

obama loses ohio, wins election at 80%.

given their certainty about obama losing ohio, who am I to argue?

"There is no evidence to support your fantasy."

And the evidence to support YOUR fantasy is?

"In Colorado, registered Democrats account for 39% of the early votes, Republicans account for 38% and independents for 23%."

http://blogs.wsj.com/washwire/2008/10/27/early-voting-update-democratic-voters-get-the-edge/?mod=googlenews_wsj

to be fair to the libs,

"McDonald’s Web site, which he says he will update continuously between now and Election Day, reports that 2.1 million Florida voters have cast early ballots, with registered Democrats casting 45% of them, Republicans casting 40% and independents casting 15%.

Likewise, registered Democrats account for 55% of the 97,000 ballots already cast in New Mexico; 55% of 1.2 million ballots cast in North Carolina and 50.1% of 300,000 cast in Iowa. Registered Republicans cast less than one-third of the ballots in those three states.

In Nevada, registered Democrats accounted for 55% of 211,000 votes already cast in Clark County and 52% of 51,000 cast in Washoe County, the state’s two large population centers."

historically, as in 2004, there were early reports that from early voting kerry was ahead in Iowa by 11, and 17 in Florida-the sources? gallup and quinnipiac. (I'm sorry, but you can screw up an exit poll, there's an even better chance you'll screw up your telephone polls.) Bush won IA, and FL.

I'm actually stunned by that colorado number. especially given the rally that was held.

Mark,
According to this (which I had posted above) http://www.lookingattheleft.com/2008/10/festival-of-obama/

the polls were open during the Obama rally but hardly anyone went over to vote.

Ronald Reagan and Teddy Roosevelt were Communist Marxist Socialist pigs.

Look it up.

Colin Powell also endorsed Ted Stevens. He testified as a character witness. Todd, you might want to rethink waving around Powell's endorsement of Obama. :)

Heavens! What an indignant - yet HIGHLY successful - small businessman. What would this great country do without your work ethic and tax revenue? How will President Obama catch bin Laden and WIN in Iraq without you?

America needs YOU, patriot! Pay your taxes and let President Obama and America SURGE to victory!!

boob, I rest my case.

!!!

I agree, Bilby, that it was a major mistake for Colin Powell to endorse that incredibly corrupt scum-of-the-earth Ted Stevens, who should rot in jail for the rest of his life.

"obama loses ohio, wins election at 80%.

given their certainty about obama losing ohio, who am I to argue?"

Intrade traders beg to differ: Obama is at 80% probability to win Ohio as of right now.

"In Colorado, registered Democrats account for 39% of the early votes, Republicans account for 38% and independents for 23%." "I'm actually stunned by that colorado number. especially given the rally that was held."

Colorado is at 85% probability for Obama. Pretty stunning, eh?

If you have such conviction about Obama losing those states, feel free to bet your house on it over at Intrade.

"--- Porn on cinemax? How 1988! For a wildly successful SMALL businessman, you're pretty out of touch. ---"

Nah, Bob's a regular post-modern Millie.

All things being equal, Bob'll be too busy on Nov. 4th fapping it to his gay avatar getting some cyber-love on "Second Life" (or maybe to Obama hisself) while smoking a big ol' fat blunt.

Let's hope that he and 40% or more of the liberals are so complacent that they don't bother to vote.

Hey, it's a long shot.... but it is probably as likely to work as anything else McCain has tried in his shipwreck of a campaign.
