Um, could it be insensitive and boneheaded statements like this? It occurs to me the last prominent Republican to speak to the issue was Sarah Palin. In the end all he did was smear the Mother of a special needs child. Way to go, Joe. No doubt you're going to go down in history as not just the dumbest man in the Senate but the dumbest VP choice ever as well. That Obama sure has some judgment, huh?

“I hear all this talk about how the Republicans are going to work in dealing with parents who have both the joy, because there's joy to it as well, the joy and the difficulty of raising a child who has a developmental disability, who were born with a birth defect. Well guess what folks? If you care about it, why don't you support stem cell research?”
Not to mention that scientific advances have pulled the carpet out from under his alleged argument.
Why Isn't Biden More Popular?
Because he is a loser that opens his mouth and nothing but hate comes out.
And to think that if Xerxes is elected this troll would be #2 in line for POTUS.
The more terrifing thought is that San Fran Nan would still be #3!

The word "it" in this sentence refers to Down syndrome. He is saying people who care about Down syndrome support (embryonic) stem cell research. Pro lifers don't support embryonic stem cell reseach, therefore....

With lefties saying the child should have been aborted since it was a defective my mind connected to, if you want to cure these defects you should abort and have your child used for stem cell research.
Now I am sure he did not mean that, but many of the left in DKos do.
