USA Today: Who Is Obama Now Trailing By Four Points?

From USA Today - I guess you call this a convention bounce. An 11 point swing.

McCain leads Democrat Barack Obama by 50%-46% among registered voters, the Republican's biggest advantage since January and a turnaround from the USA TODAY poll taken just before the convention opened in St. Paul. Then, he lagged by 7 percentage points.

Not only are rank and file Liberals trying to destroy Palin, Obama has even been mentioning her himself. I can't remember a time when I have ever seen the number one on one side go after the number two on the other. That's a battle he can't win and probably points out his inexperience once again.

At this rate, even if he wins in November, how bad could it get? He'll have had McCain and Palin so far inside his head for so long by then, he might have to change parties just to make him feel complete!

While Obama survived the debates with Clinton, he rarely looked at his best. And though it remains to be seen, if Obama goes into the debates trailing, a misstep or two by him could all but end this race.

Obama's got even more problems: if his buddy "Hair Plugs" doesn't indisputably win his debate with Palin on October 2nd...then he'll lose.

Unfortunately the problem for Hair Plugs, as has been repeatedly noted, is that he can't help but shoot off his mouth. Palin's debating style reportedly consists of making short, to-the-point replies and then clamming up. After 36 years of senatorial bloviating, Hair Plugs will have a hell of a time doing the same since he loves the sound of his own voice. The longer he talks, the bigger the chance he'll make a gaffe. However, if he doesn't talk long enough, or comes across as smarmy and patronizing to Palin, he'll definitely be in deep macaca. Even worse for him, he'll have to defend 36 years of rotten decisions, backstabbing, outright lying, gaffes, indisputably wrong foreign policy positions, not to mention the fact that he categorically stated on national TV just a few months ago that Obama was utterly unqualified to be Prez. Yeoooooowwwwww!

In short, Palin's debating end game will be simple and effective: she won't need to defeat Biden--she'll just get out of the way and let Biden do that to himself. What's hilarious is that Biden must already know this...but may be powerless to stop it from happening.

McCain is no slouch at debating and he is certainly more succinct and understandable in his answers. If Obama starts wandering all over the place, the voters will tune him out.

McCain has a major advantage. When you've faced death in the eye and walked away alive, a mere presidential debate isn't going to cause you to shake in your boots, even if it is against the "Messiah." McCain has been around a long time and before the Senate, 22 years in the military. Obama, OTH, is hopelessly uninformed about America and American history. He actually thinks his ideas are new. Just what were you thinking when you choose Biden. He is no agent of change. You should have chosen Hillary for the following reasons.
1. Huge Campaign Contributions
2. 18 million votes plus more
3. A Dream Ticket, That Plain would not be able to wreck
4. She has the experience that Biden has plus charisma
5. You would be able to demonstrate how you can resolve differences and team up.

If McCain seriously outshines Obama during the debates its over for him, he won't recover.

It appears that his Democratic surrogates are already far into panic mode, which is never good, it results in lack of strategy and cohesiveness. I dislike both Obama and McCain, with my dislike of Obama slightly edging out my dislike of McCain.

I'd much rather the GOP put an old style paleo-conservative candidate like Robert Taft (well, I wish, but he's nearly 60 years dead) or even a living old-time conservative patriot like Dr. Ron Paul up for President (or the Dems, although they are so far sold into Marxist radicalism, that I doubt they'd ever put a pro-liberty candidate up ever again).
