At least some outfit in media besides Fox is willing to take ABC to task for their obvious and increasing bias. In watching the Stephanopoulos / Obama interview, I found myself wondering how Georgie boy was restraining himself from leaning over and giving old Barry-O a big wet sloppy kiss. In the end he just decided to make due by basically kissing his butt.
Meanwhile Gibson acted as though he were on a mission from God while trying to take Palin apart. It would have been nice to have had the cameras turned-off giving Gov. Palin five minutes to literally slap old Chuck around a bit in return. I mean, there really is no question who would win that contest three falls out of three, is there? Does the AB in ABC stand for All Biased, or All Ball-less? Watching Chuckie and Stephie perform makes it a might difficult to figure out.
Charles Gibson of ABC News was out for blood and inherently applied a double-standard compared with the kid gloves George Stephanopoulos used on Democratic presidential nominee Sen. Barack Obama of Illinois on Sunday night.
Gibson was out to embarrass Palin and expose her presumed ignorance from the word go. By contrast, when Obama referred to his "Muslim faith" on Sunday and did not correct himself, Stephanopoulos rushed in at once to help him and emphasize that the senator had really meant to say his Christian faith.
By contrast, Gibson tried to embarrass Palin by referring to her Christian faith in asking people to pray for U.S. soldiers in Iraq. Palin countered by pointing out she was following the precedent set by Abraham Lincoln.

Obama has been in the public eye for a couple of years now, Palin is new to the scene and we know nothing about her. Gibson has a duty to press her on the issues which is exactly what he did. You want to see bias and overly aggressive interviewing? Watch O'Reilly and Obama. Has BillO ever questioned McCain this hard?

Gibson didn't know what he was talking about:

Where was Michelle O. when her hubby and the McCains were at the Twin Towers wreckage site?
She was home taking care of her kids as Sarah should be doing.
Blllaaaaaaaattt. Wrong. She was politicking to change the world.

A real tough interview by O'Reilly. All Obama's answers are in lawyer-liberal-speak.

Lawyer-liberal-speaker is as lawyer-liberal-speaker does.

Lala, have you by any chance seen Huff'nstuff"s post by this nice Irish lady, Kathleen Reardon?
In it she asks herself and us a question that directly leads us to the conclusion that McCain, not Obama, should be president.
She asks: "Is it sexist to ask the person to be flying the plane to be a pilot?"
This is as much as to ask: "Is it irrational to ask that a Commander and Chief have military experience?"

By the way, I am not among those who say a President needs to have had military experience. But neither is Kate Reardon, who makes exactly that case with her question.

At the Anchoress blog:
"...from a Hillary Clinton forum, of all places. I don’t know anything about the writer, Nancy Kallitechnis, but she makes some interesting observations about the difference between Charlie Gibson’s interview with Obama, when he became the presumptive nominee, and his talk with Gov. Palin"
You should see this. Oh the fairness and balance of ABC. Scroll down to find:

"--- By the way, I am not among those who say a President needs to have had military experience. ---"
It certainly doesn't hurt a candidate to have had some military experience.

No, seek, it certainly doesn't hurt. Military experience would have helped Lincoln, for example.

Glenn Reynolds has a good article in today's NY Post where he is advising candidate to bring their own cameras to the interviews.

I think the interview was ok up until Charlie Gibson bashed her faith and he tried to get her with a gotcha on the Bush Doctrine.
a.) There are 4 doctrines of which she mentioned the most recent (none are official however).
b.) Charlie unfairly picked an earlier one without refering to it specifically (He laughingly thought this was a genius liberal gotcha).
c.) When Governor Palin made reference to President Lincoln, Mr. Gibson looked dumb founded as if to say uh now where do I go.
d.) Notice the liberals always give their party the honor of using titles such as former senator or former mayor etc... However when it comes to Governor Palin its just Sarah.

It would appear from this that Spartan did not know what he was talking about when he "guessed" that most people on here would know what the "Bush Doctrine" is. Well it turns out Krauthammer who invented the phrase certainly knows.
http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2008/09/12/AR2008091202457_pf.html
Spartan you owe us an apology for your ill advised and ill informed comment. And you owe Sarah Palin an apology also and so does Charlie Gibson who this makes look like a fool. Gibson should not have used the phrase Bush doctrine since it has many different meanings. Gibson should have been more specific. Which Bush doctrine Charlie?

And also check this out concerning the "Bush Doctrine".

Hmmm Gibson not so smart, huh? Well McCain finsished second from the bottom of the class, and Bush was a legacy selection at Tale - and was a poor student. Then Bush went on to ruin three seperate businesses, only to be bailed out by his Dad and friends.
Try not to throw stones when your own house is made of glass.

Tom, you're redundant, and stupid. You must be a liberal. And I read that comment on the other thread, so you're a troll as well.

Boob welcome back to the land of the free and the home of the brave. Too bad you are on the losing side once again come Nov. See you at the McCain/Palin inauguration in DC in Jan.2009.
In fact Sara came off smelling like a rose and Charlie Gibson make himself look like a mean old fool and a rat to boot. More votes for us. Less votes for you. ha ha ha.

Hey, Tom. How smart is Obama? We haven't seen HIS transcripts yet.

Funny how the stupid apes (for certainly they believe that they are descended from apes or monkeys or lemurs and such) Bob and Tom are, for wasting so much time trying to correct us.
Except that they are wrong.

Funny how liberals will reverse tactics and try to expose Palin, who has MORE EXECUTIVE experience than OBlunder (and they KNOW IT). THAT is why Gibson acted like he did. The wheels are coming off the Obama-Daley-Rezko-Ayers-Dorhn-Wright Express.
