The first thing that stood out in the minions talking points were that some one else wrote the speech for her. These guys must be friggen rocket scientists.

The speech was delivered powerfully, skillfully and hit where it counts, middle America. These leftist trolls aren't going to vote for her. The press and Soros' buddies will try and spin this thing a million different ways. She layed a smack down on Barry the likes of which haven't been seen to date.

The problem for the trolls is that millions of Americans got to hear and see her for the patriot she is. Yea "change" and "hope" is comimg but it ain't gonna be from Barry and the old white guy!

She really let the air out of empty-suit tiny-resume Barry Hussein-O again & again. She has as much presence & can speak away from a teleprompter as well---something the empty suit still hasn't mastered. On CNBC, she spoke about energy policy with amazing knowledge---I am former Editor of the Oil Daily---and articulation about all sorts of energy issues.

She's smarter than Barry Hussein-O & the MSM is panicking as I write this. I checked out PBS to get the truly mediocre gasbag p.o.v. RINO Brooks did give Palin credit, though Lehrer was his usual bland colorless witless self, and the Jurassic Park refugee Mark Shields whined about how mean she was to Obama, criticizing his empty resume, how dare she!?

What a joke! The media are crawling all over her record & bio like a column of army ants while Obama, whose relatioship with Rezko has gone entirely unexamined [let's see, a crazed state trooper who threatens to kill her husband & tasers his 11-year old stepson is subject to feverish speculaiton versus a criminal Syrian of immense wealth who started BHusseinO up the political ladder with opaque funding---no news there?] walks across the media Sea of Galilee awaiting Transfiguration by the MSM.

Then two has-been Repubs from Shields' Jurassic era, Noonan & Murphy, are overheard on a hot mike disparaging Palin. [ I wonder if Peggy now thinks Sarah ain't ready for prime time?] Chuck Todd, who had just finished interviewing them, did say that Sarah's subsequent speech was a no-hitter, grand-slam homer all in her opening game. I'll take that over two RINOs left behind scratching at their scabs.

I switched over to MSNBC just for laughs and got a bellyful. Only Pat Buchanan & Tweety were making sense---but the strange sport of nature of indeterminate gender was whining about how unfair & cruel remarks about the Obamanable Showman seemed to be---how hurtful. Maybe she can visit Oprah for a cry-in. Robinson, the WaPo affirmative action figure, did allow how the speech was "okay, ok, maybe better than okay," but then got all excited that the WaPo had a story in tomorrow's rag about Troopergate---be still, my heart!

Feh...decent delivery of a forgettable speech. Nothing new, nothing enlightening, nothing thats going to knock questions about her off the front page. And certainly nothing that's going to lure away any HRC voters.

And of course she spouted off the same lies the GOP has been saying about her record. "I told them to keep their bridge to nowhere"...yeah, sure you did...while they were taking it away.

Oh, and no, she's not shrill...very nasal, but not shrill.

To clarify: I found an item over at RedState.com, where an editor made mention of the fact that Palin's teleprompter malfunctioned.

It scrolled ahead faster than it should have: it malfunctioned, i.e. did not do what it was supposed to do, therefore being broken, kaput, and generally being unable to deliver the service for which it was acquired at no small expense to the convention.

Therefore, we can safely conclude that if the teleprompter was malfunctioning, and that Ms. Palin was able to give her speech without any other obvious clue that her machine was broken (malfunctioning), other than glancing at her notes from time to time, that she might be much more of a smart cookie than certain presidential contenders from the Democrat party.

"Well", you may now say, "she's not a law professor and former editor of Harvard Law Review" while naming the other few, thin qualifications Obama has... but if Obama were so much more aboundingly smarter than any of his competitors, then he should have MEMORIZED his speeches much like the great Attic Orators of old.

But, unfortunately (or fotunately, depending upon your view of Sen. Obama) the great Barry "Hypereides" Obama is no Demosthenes after all.

And yes, we know that Ms. Palin is not running against Barry - which makes the comparison even more salt-rubbingly delightful: her actual competition is a known plagiariser whose very legacy corruption, nepotism, and Washingtonian insiderism.
