Just how bad are things in CA? Evidently bad enough that the government felt they had a right to install remote-controlled thermostats in your home. A blog post seems to have been important in pushing back against it, assuming Arnold signs the legislation.
American Thinker justly can claim credit for legislation to protect Californians against at least one petty tyranny. SB 1491 in on the Governor's desk awaiting signature. It would allow citizens to refuse a remote controlled thermostat in their home or office. It is not all we wanted but it is something.
This AT article triggered a national outcry, according to the New York Times. State Senator Tom McClintock deserves credit for SB 1491. He is running for Congress now.
Good grief. We may be closer to an actual revolution than I thought.

Hey Dan, welcome to my world! The trolls run the asylum in "Kal-E-4r-nee-A" and "big brother" is closer than we all think.
I love these subtle little digs on our personal freedoms to ensure that we all become the "patriots" that makes Joey Hair Plugs so happy.
It's for the good of others so why would this bother you folks?
I just turned down my thermostat to 68 for one last blast of freedom!

And some of us, while praying it never comes... are ready for the dreadful moment should the need to water the roots of the Liberty Tree with the blood of patriots and tyrants ever arise.
