(link fixed) What really is the point of giving Frank a platform for simply spewing out election propaganda. And that's all it is. Hey, Barney ... why don't you wind up and take a shot at McCain and Palin so I can publish it at The Politico. Maybe we can influence the narrative, honey.
If that's going to be the standard there, it'll end up being just another rag that they give away on the Hill. Geesh!
Good to know Barney found a new House boy - he's probably lonely since he lost his last favorite whore in a scandal.
Yeah, I'd say that pegs the guy about right.
Geez, he has a wife? Poor thing. Well, at least we found one journalist who can keep a secret. I bet their house has big closets. Read his bio - I can only imagine the pap that'll be dripping from that mug after he cleans up from his interview with Barney.
Sorry to be so angry - just can't stand the thought of two alleged grown-ups cavorting when at least one of them is on the taxpayer's time.

Hey Dan the first link is dead at my end.
Politico has shown itself to be just another in a long line of "in the tank" for Xerxes sites.
This troll has a philosophy degree from St Mary's so what would you expect this loser to do for a job anyway. Could you imagine wasting 4 years in a major university and coming away with a philosophy degree? I think I would rather just go throw $200,000.00 out the car window instead!
Maybe he longs to be a "community organizer" someday like his god king!

Well I for one and am just plain relieved.
Our economy was collapsing down around our ears, because the stupid Republicans messed everything up (I just HATE white people)! Of course, a few people think Clinton's attempts to make mortgages more accessible had something to do with this. How this is even possible, I don't know because Clinton has never done anything wrong in his whole public life. Clinton was encouraging 100% loans so that EVERYONE, not just rich Republicans, could have a piece of the American dream. The Clinton Admin was instrumental in establishing mortgage loans with no cash down.
Then as numbers of people began to default on those loans, it devalued the mortgage securities bundled against the loans. Took a few years, but here we are!
Thankfully, low these past 8 years, Al Gore has been warning us about Global Warming. Maybe he should have been focusing on the hot air of irresponsible lending; practices that were propping up the American real estate industry! The bulk of the average American's wealth is tied to his home.
If the housing market collapses, there are going to be a lot of hungry, and angry, people!
I know, I know, everyone wants to believe the Republicans single-handedly run Wall Street. Not true. No wonder Bill Clinton has been racing from couch to couch this week - from "The View", to "Greta", to "Letterman" attempting to "hide in plain sight" lest people begin to connect the dots and link his policies to set ups for 9/11/01 AND to this current $eptember $urprise of 2008!
So here we are. Everyone running in circles with their skirts over their heads! Chicken Little:
The sky WAS falling! And then... From Betwix the Columns of Athena...
ENTER EMPORER OBAMA.
In one short meeting over coffee with Bush and McCain, he FIXED this crisis!
In between flights from wherever and Mississippi, he breezed by Washington, DC for a chat.
All he had to say was, "Here is the solution... " and amazingly, it has worked!
Now McCain is free to meet in Oxford, MS tomorrow night.
OBAMA FOR WORLD EMPORER!
THis is why I say, "MCCAIN/PALIN 2008!".

Fox News Blames Democrats for Financial Crisis, Bill Clinton Agrees
Going very much against the media meme that the current financial crisis is all George W. Bush and the Republicans’ fault, Bill Clinton on Thursday told ABC’s Chris Cuomo that Democrats for years have been “resisting any efforts by Republicans in the Congress or by me when I was President to put some standards and tighten up a little on Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac.”
Whether he knew it or not, Clinton was going against virtually all press outlets that have been pointing fingers at Republicans since this crisis began, and likely much to the dismay of such folk actually agreed with a Fox News segment aired on Tuesday’s “Special Report”

I love seeing Bill on the tube the past few days. It is a hoot to watch him praise McCain, Palin, her husband, family and to put some smack down on Xerxes!
Barry pissed off the wrong guy here! Go get em Bill!

This is called setting the stage for Hillary vs. Palin in 2012.
Just wait. I have the feeling that the next thing that's going to come out of the mouths of the Clintonistas is even less subtle. It's called "letting the nutroots be dragged down with Obama and trying to pass the Clinton legacy off as one of moderation and bipartisanship".

Clinton said he can't campaign in Florida until after the Jewish holidays.

I'm all for heaping blame on the demonrats for their share of this financial crisis but the repubs deserve to carry their own bucket of shit as well. They had the opportunity to fix it many times, even while Clingon was president.....but were afraid to. Barney Frank couldn't even run a gay escort service, WTF is he doing sticking our money together. Thing is we're ass deep and sinking and these good for nothing, mostly useless pricks on BOTH sides need to stop playing "My rich white guy is smarter than our rich white guy" long enough to PRETEND to put country over party and fix it. The Obies and McCains of the country will sail right through this storm with little notice but some ironworker is dependant on his mutual fund to retire.

"Franks went on. 'Nobody mentioned him. The man’s irrelevant to the whole process...'"
Well, Uncle Barney certainly is a relevant player in this game. He was the one who assured the country this cheating and meltdown by Fan/Fred couldn't happen.

Barny Frank, the right man at the right time in the right place:
"''These two entities -- Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac -- are not facing any kind of financial crisis,'' said Representative Barney Frank of Massachusetts, the ranking Democrat on the Financial Services Committee. ''The more people exaggerate these problems, the more pressure there is on these companies, the less we will see in terms of affordable housing."
http://www.powerlineblog.com/archives2/2008/09/021598.php
So now we want $700 "really large" to finance continued "affordable" housing [translation: loans to the unloan-worthy]? Wouldn't housing be more affordable without Fan/Fred?

WW, in my opinion, BOTH parties should be disbanded and banned under pain of death.
And that for any politician to run for national office, that oath of loyalty to the Constitution should also be enforceable at pain of death as well.
No such thing gonna happen though - the absolutely powerful do not go away easily.
