The AP can hardly control itself with what I imagine they think is a real zinger on Palin ... oh, she triiiies, does our little Sarah:
Palin tries to defend qualifications in interview
FORT WAINWRIGHT, Alaska - John McCain running mate Sarah Palin sought Thursday to defend her qualifications but struggled with foreign policy, unable to describe President Bush's doctrine of pre-emptive strikes against threatening nations and acknowledging she's never met a foreign head of state.
Let's keep it simple and just go to the wiki. It looks to me as though Palin did precisely the right thing by asking Gibson to be more specific as to what he meant. What would look truly pathetic right about now would be watching the AP tryyyy to defend itself. But as it can't, it won't even bother. How's that Star Ledger non-deal working out for you AP? Ha! Sarah Palin might just be around longer than you at this rate.
The Bush Doctrine is a phrase used to describe various related foreign policy principles of United States president George W. Bush, enunciated in the wake of the September 11, 2001 attacks. The phrase initially described the policy that the United States had the right to treat countries that harbor or give aid to terrorist groups as terrorists themselves, which was used to justify the invasion of Afghanistan.[1] Later it came to include additional elements, including the controversial policy of preventive war, which held that the United States should depose foreign regimes that represented threat to the security of the United States, even if that threat was not immediate (used to justify the invasion of Iraq), a policy of supporting democracy around the world, especially in the Middle East, as a strategy for combating the spread of terrorism, and a willingness to pursue U.S. military interests in a unilateral way.[2][3][4] Some of these policies were codified in a National Security Council text entitled the National Security Strategy of the United States published on September 20, 2002.[5]

The smear mechants are like the Energizer Bunny, they just keep going and going!!
The need to find something, anything, to make Palin look bad is just driving these folks crazy.
I have a little message for them, we can see for ourselves what you're trying to do and we see right through the Soro's raze and burn campaign!
Keep up the good work though McCain/Palin keep getting more votes with every effort to ruin her!

Why don't we keep it simpler and look at the video? Where's the link to the video?

She struggled with the question...she tried to answer and when it was clear she had no idea what Charlie was talking about she asked him what it meant. Guess what, she's a candidate for VP she should know what it means. I would guess that most of the people here know what the "Bush Doctrine" is.

"I would guess that most of the people here know what the "Bush Doctrine" is."
Sure, sure, 112. That's why Dan saw fit to give the Wiki version. He likes to tell us what we already know 100% about. Frankly, I thought in terms of the preemptive war only when I heard Bush Doctrine mentioned.

Maybe Dan gave the Wiki version because "He" didn't know what it was.

It's sad that the Mother of the Year can't answer simple policy questions. But take heart, patriots - Bush himself doesn't know what the Bush Doctrine is either! You heroes have never cared too much about competence.
Semper Fi!! Iraq will never attack us again!!

It was interesting to watch Obama "try" to move to the right of McCain last night. Obie said Columbia and Ivy League schools should allow military recruiters and ROTC (Military Science minors) on campus once again so that the only educated people in the U.S., i.e., ivy graduates, could become military officers, as well as lawyers, activists, and liberal organizers in the community.. He is right of course, right, right, right, about allowing recruiting and ROTC. But one must wonder what Markos "Screw them" Moulitsas thinks about it.

"Maybe Dan gave the Wiki version because "He" didn't know what it was."
This is a possibility. I notice you, 112, frequently write about things you know little about.
Well, Hussein bin-Boob is back. Yea, hurrah.
Boob, did you know that Agent 112 said Hannity always uses Obie's middle name when he mentions Obie? I don't think that is correct, but if it is, he may have gotten the idea from Wiki. They even show how to pronounce it.
"Barack Hussein Obama II (pronounced /bəˈrɑːk hʊˈseɪn oʊˈbɑːmə/; born August 4, 1961) is the junior United States Senator from Illinois and presidential nominee of the Democratic Party in the 2008 general election."
However, no pronunciation help here and no middle name either. I know SH must have a middle name. Is the Pope Catholic?
"Sean Hannity (born December 30, 1961) is an American radio and television host, conservative political commentator, and author."

Oh ooh. I know Palin and the dumb evil genius Bush will get the MSM blame for this:
Via AFP:
"Beleaguered Swedish car maker Volvo, a unit of US auto giant Ford, said Friday it planned to cut some 900 jobs in Sweden next year in addition to the 2,000 cuts worldwide announced in June.
"The rapid decline of market conditions in Europe over the past months, in combination with the difficult US market and a slow down of growth in emerging markets, has resulted in a significant impact on the car industry as a whole," Volvo Cars said in a statement."

I thought Sarah did very well last night. I did not know what the Bush doctrine was or is. She appears to me to be much better at answering tough questions than I expected her to be. And those were the tough questions about foreign policy. She will really rule tonight on domestic issues.
By the way where is Biden these days? In a secure bunker?

"I did not know what the Bush doctrine was or is."
And you're not running for national office. Now run along and take a nap.

Chris you sound like a troubled teenager. Go to school. You don't know anything about anything. Grow up! Your comments are juvenile and callow.

"I did not know what the Bush doctrine was or is."
Staggering. And you should be taken seriously in discussions of world affairs exactly why? Where have you been since 2002? I know that GOPers view pig-ignorance as a virtue, but sheesh ....

Yeah, Totally is well versed in foreign affairs. Surrender or apologize anytime anyone confronts you is the Democratic doctrine. Hey, it worked in France.

Troubled teenager? Hardly.
And this coming from an uninformed old geezer...

"Troubled teenager? Hardly."
No this fine example of brainless troll is a full fledged adult asshat.
And around here "it" is known simply as the "Sock Puppet"!
Congrats on the "Partner of the month award" You and boob must be very proud!
How are the window treatments coming?

And your guess would be wrong. Quit guessing.
I know what the Bush policy is toward the terrorists. Kill 'em all.

"--- I know that GOPers view pig-ignorance as a virtue, but sheesh .... ---"
Pigs are actually rather intelligent, for being animals; perhaps even more so than dogs.
