GREAT FALLS, Mont. -- The Secret Service has selected a fitting enough code name for Gov. Sarah Palin: "Denali," same as the Alaska national park and preserve famed for its mountain peaks and wildlife.
Perhaps even more perfect is their code name for former oil slope worker Todd Palin -- "Driller." McCain and Palin have made drilling for oil a central part of their platform, so much so that "Drill, baby, drill!" is now a regular McCain-Palin rally chant.
Are you sure it's not Denali as in the gas guzzling Yukon Denali?

The white women at McCain/Palin rallies are there not only to see Sarah but they dig Todd to the utmost also.
I will tell you the moment this election was decided. When McCain picked Palin as his VP. And since then it has continued to just get better and better. A deciding defining moment was her speech and the 30 million viewers who saw her and her family that night. Todd handing over the little baby to his little girl getting ready to stand up. Camera moves in and shows the little girl smoothing the hair of that little baby boy. Then she licks her fingers and smooths down his hair. I said to myself "There is a lot of votes right there". That was a game winner. Case closed. Game over. Goodbye Obama.
Bill Clinton had lunch with Obama today. Do you suppose he told him to dump Biden and put Hillary on the ticket at VP. They could have Biden come out and say for the good of the party I have withdrawn my name. In order for us to win Obama must have Hillary at the VP. I think they may just try it as they see themselves sinking sinking sinking in the polls all across the USA. Maybe Barry will win in Illinois and Mass. and D.C. and a few New England states and that is about it. It is John Kerry time all over again. Dukasis time all over again. Mondale time all over again. Jimmy Carter against Reagan all over again. And Bill Clinton only won twice because of Ross Perot taking votes away from the Republicans. But we have to thank Ralph Nader also.

Actually exit polling doesn't back you up on Clinton as perot took votes aways from both major party candidate. As for this election being over because of some little photo op? There's 54 days left and 4 debates do you expect the GOP ticket to have a good showing in any of them?

Can you imagine? Do you really there is quiet pressure on Biden to recuse himself as Obama's VP pick??!
After all, Biden recently said, "Hillary might have been a better choice".
Perhaps with all of these unprecedented firsts, Biden will offer to step down, as you say, "For the good of the party", and allow Obama to
appoint Hillary Clinton instead!

Methinks that Hills would not want the VP even if Joey Hairplugs gace it to her on a platter.
Being the spiteful, vindictive so-and-so that she is, I think she will be/is taking a great deal of schadenfreude in seeing Obie in panic mode.
And she wouldn't want to tarnish herself by association as Obie's "rescue girl" if by some quirk they managed to loose even with her name on the bottom ticket.
Hills is content with setting herself up to run against Palin in 2012.

Hillary's ego is TOO BIG. She would find the VP Mansion @ the Naval Observatory an insulting and embarrassing demotion.
Hillary would rather see McCain get elected this November, so she can run again in 2012!!!!!

As many folks have begun pointing out, Denali is actually the native name for Mt. McKinly (sp). The part derives its name from the mountain.
