You'll have to excuse the light posting. I had a new PC built and just picked it up - been busy configuring that and re-configuring the home network. Imagine that, a blogger bought a new PC and didn't have a blog bleg. LOL I thought about it, I just hate doing them.

Anyway, pretty cool new machine with some of the latest in tech, component-wise - also a tuner so I can watch the tube and surf/blog at the same time. Life is good!

As for the headline ... I'm just not going to get into some of the ugliness I see floating around on the Left right now regarding Palin. And as far as conservatism's Twisted Step-Sister Andrew Sullivan - I'll leave it to Ace.

The Left is terrified of Palin's appeal.

The only ones raising hell about it are liberals and there are plenty of democrats who are telling them they better smarten-up and lay off. The rest of us don't care.

If you follow your link you will see the really "deep" questions which Halperin believes need to be asked of Palin, such as, "When will Sarah Palin begin to do media interviews with experienced national journalists"? Wow, hard hitting.

The abortion issue is so bogus, doctors around the world have confirmed that birth control pills, IUD,
Norplant, etc. cause early abortions. I have told two female friends who are "pro-life" that the birth control pill they are using cause early abortions and they looked at me in shock and then said they didn't know, as if their ignorance of what the pill is doing inside their bodies makes them less guilty of the murderous act they are accusing other woman of doing. The real truth is that both of these "pro-life" women killed several fetuses while using the pill, many more than the women they were angry with for going to the abortion clinic to get one!

I guess some ignorant people in this country would feel better if Bristol Palin was aborting fetuses on the pill or IUD, instead of giving birth to her baby!

When you're running for president, any distraction from getting your message out is a big deal. And so far, Palin's been nothing but distractions. It's a big deal because it calls into questions McSame's entire campaign message - Experience, judgement, country first.

McSame's supposed to be spending this week pounding Obama on his inexperience. He's forfeited that, his most powerful argument, and will instead probably spend the week answering even more questions about Palin, her fitness to be president, the vetting process, etc.

I do not see what the fact of daughter Bristol's pregnancy has to do with Sarah Palin's vice presidential nomination. I do think there have been more than enough snide remarks and references to it. This 17-year old girl should not be the topic of conversation on every newscast and political show. It is indecent and immoral to drag her into this. It should have no bearing whatsoever on the vice presidency issue, and BTW, for no reason other than a tenuous claim to experience, I cannot support Paulin as a vp candidate. It is nonesense to compare her lack of experience with Obama's lack of experience. At least Obama has the connections to seek good advice and to use it from trusted sources. Palin would be hanging out to dry and at the mercy of a bunch of Washington insiders should McCain be unable to continue on. Guess perhaps I am looking at it as President Palin vs President Obama with Joe Biden alongside versus who knows who and with what agenda. That, to me, is too big of an unknown to deal with.
