Breaking News >> McCain to Suspend Campaign to Deal With Financial Crisis; Calls on Obama to Do Same; Wants Debate Postponed
Not comforted by the McCain to suspend play. It suggests he needs to shake things up.
I realize that there's a lot of intelligent discussion of there not being a Bradley/Wilder effect in the election this year. And it may very well be correct. But that doesn't stop people from telling pollsters "I don't know."
The latest from Fox has Obama up by six nationally. Details here. The debates will mostly drive this election from here on out. But I maintain what I have said all along, it's going to be an impossible one to predict going in without knowing what the campaigns are seeing in their own polls. They're a bit more serious about the minutiae behind the polling than is the press. Time to start closely watching the spending.
Obama McCain (Other) (Don’t know) (Would not vote)
22-23 Sep 08 45% 39 2 13 1

The debates don't amount to squat.
Don't you remember W babbling like a retard against Kerry?

This doesn't bode well - with partisan manipulation in Congress to stall the bailout (oh, they want it just as bad as the (R)s do - if not more, since it is mostly Democrat hash that'll get settled if the economy truly crashes - but it can't happen while the electoral clock is running.
Obambi might just have this in the bag after all - through absolutely no talent or ability of his own.
Pure. Machine. Politics.
Welcome to the Single-Party Communist State: if Obambi pulls a victory along with the Cheat-o-crats in Congress, the Constitution will be good for nothing but toilet paper.
I'll have to leave work early today to hit up the gun shop for a few cases of ammo and budget some more funds for storeable food, methinks.

And I pray that some good may come out of this evil: that if McCain's suspnsion of his campaign in any way results in voters going astray, that they will consider the ONLY viable alternative to socialism:

"McCain to Suspend Campaign to Deal With Financial Crisis; Calls on Obama to Do Same; Wants Debate Postponed"
Seems like good strategy for a losing ticket.

Looks like John McCain is suspending the campaign to address the polling...er...economic crisis.
"Welcome to the Single-Party Communist State"
On the bright side, there's always the backwoods of Michigan or Alabama where you can build as many cabins and write as many anti-government manifestos as you'd like.

McCain's internal polls must really suck for McLame to pull a stunt like this.
I guess the "fundamentals of the economy are strong" ain't so after all.
Does this count as a flip flop?

McCain being willing to suspend his campaign proves he cares about America and the American people's welfare. Hussein O's refusal proves he only cares about himself, as usual.

Hussein is a self centered slug. The above will be an ad nationwide by Monday.

Well, Jaykin-poos... if things get THAT bad, I'll be giving serious thought to heading up to Alaska. I reckon Gov. Palin and her constituency would move to take Alaska out of the Union if things went down the Socialist tubes that far.
I have no faith that our representative Republic would survive four years (much less eight) of unbridled radical socialist fury.
On a different note, some of my fellow church members have had this ongoing discussion regarding the USA in Bible prophecy: some think that the USA *is* the end-times final empire that runs everyone else into the ground (except for Red China and Russia), whilst others think that the USA is simply removed from the world stage in order for Uinted Europa to assume the role as the Final Empire (reference Daniel 7 as follows) :
"-----
16 I came near unto one of them that stood by, and asked him the truth of all this. So he told me, and made me know the interpretation of the things.
17 These great beasts, which are four, are four kings, which shall arise out of the earth.
18 But the saints of the most High shall take the kingdom, and possess the kingdom for ever, even for ever and ever.
19 Then I would know the truth of the fourth beast, which was diverse from all the others, exceeding dreadful, whose teeth were of iron, and his nails of brass; which devoured, brake in pieces, and stamped the residue with his feet;
20 And of the ten horns that were in his head, and of the other which came up, and before whom three fell; even of that horn that had eyes, and a mouth that spake very great things, whose look was more stout than his fellows.
21 I beheld, and the same horn made war with the saints, and prevailed against them;
22 Until the Ancient of days came, and judgment was given to the saints of the most High; and the time came that the saints possessed the kingdom.
23 Thus he said, The fourth beast shall be the fourth kingdom upon earth, which shall be diverse from all kingdoms, and shall devour the whole earth, and shall tread it down, and break it in pieces.
24 And the ten horns out of this kingdom are ten kings that shall arise: and another shall rise after them; and he shall be diverse from the first, and he shall subdue three kings.
25 And he shall speak great words against the most High, and shall wear out the saints of the most High, and think to change times and laws: and they shall be given into his hand until a time and times and the dividing of time.
26 But the judgment shall sit, and they shall take away his dominion, to consume and to destroy it unto the end.
27 And the kingdom and dominion, and the greatness of the kingdom under the whole heaven, shall be given to the people of the saints of the most High, whose kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and all dominions shall serve and obey him.
-----"
(Daniel 7:16-27, KJV)
Verse 7:20 is especially interesting, where the leader of the Final Empire speaks with "a mouth that spake very great things"... sounds like anyone familiar, like Obama?
I'm really not so certain that America will be around - or at least exist in a form I knew it as a child and young man - when *the* Antichrist takes his stand.
It will either dissolve entirely, or be broken up into smaller regions, or be completely perverted as a part of the New World Order into a socialist paradise and act in concert with the other nations of the end-time Global Empire.
That's what really has me on the alert: both Bush, McCain, and Obama all serve the same dark forces - the forces of globalism and dare I say it, Luciferianism. It is just a matter of how fast we move down the road to whatever judgment the Lord has in store for us, for we are fairly unique among the nations of history in that WE the PEOPLE, could put and end to this wickedness, and set ourselves leaders whose hearts are after God's own heart.
If we wanted to, that is.
Bottom line is though, King Jesus is still the Immortal and Holy Sovereign, and it is He who shall bring an end to all earthly dominion as He brings His Kingdom to us.
Even so, come, Lord Jesus! Maranatha. Amen.

Wow, seek. That snake you've been handling must've bit you hard.
"McCain being willing to suspend his campaign"
The crisis is soooo bad that John McCain absolutely, positively has to suspend his campaign tod--- ummm...tomorrow AFTER he finishes his campaign stops.
Yeah. Real Mavericky, there John.

George Will wrote this BEFORE McLame's latest Panic Attack:
Under the pressure of the financial crisis, one presidential candidate is behaving like a flustered rookie playing in a league too high. It is not Barack Obama.

There is no Antichrist, Seek. It's a myth.

McCain has offered to share the stage at townhalls numerous times -- it's been BO who's not wanted to go head-to-head with Mac.
BO had set aside three (3!) days to prepare for the debate. NOW what's he going to do? Actually face a problem and have to offer a solution? This should be interesting to follow his maneuverings...

"There is no Antichrist, Seek. It's a myth."
It's no use trying impart logic on Jack Van Simp.

"--- Wow, seek. That snake you've been handling must've bit you hard. ---"
I don't handle snakes, I don't believe in putting the Lord to the test like that.
I do fry them in beer batter though, good eating.
"--- George Will wrote this BEFORE McLame's latest Panic Attack: ---"
George Will is an "Obamacon" - a supposed conservative for Obama. I can't figure that out for the life of me - I'd have sooner thought he would throw in the sponge and not endorse anyone, or perhaps go for a third party candidate like Barr or Dr. Baldwin sooner than endorse Obama. Maybe the man is a closet socialist just recently coming out?
"--- There is no Antichrist, Seek. It's a myth. ---"
Nuh-uh!
Well, I am not a prophet nor a son of prophets that I should know who *the* Antichrist is, namely, the Man of Perdition is. But he is (or will be) a real person.
The Bible gives some general clues as to what to look for:
(1) He worships a "god of strongholds" or a "god of fortresses" (Daniel 11:38) - perhaps meaning direct or indirect Lucifer worship, since the Devil is known for erecting spiritual strongholds in people's lives (2 Corinthians 10:4)
(2) He will either be gay, bisexual, or asexual, spurning the affection of women (Daniel 11:37)
(3) He will reject the "god of his fathers" possibly either the false Muslim god (he has rejected that he is a Muslim, which is a faith he inherited from his fathers), or the false doctrines of socialism (unlikely) or he will reject his association with his (false) "christianity", to embrace some other thing openly, possibly Luciferianism or some variant of Secular Humanism that becomes entrenched as a pseudo-religion
(4) He shall magnify himself above all (sounds very in line with Obama).
(5) He will divide the land for gain and give it to his helpers/fellow travellers (Daniel 11:39)
The full scripture:
"-----
36 And the king shall do according to his will; and he shall exalt himself, and magnify himself above every god, and shall speak marvellous things against the God of gods, and shall prosper till the indignation be accomplished: for that that is determined shall be done.
37 Neither shall he regard the God of his fathers, nor the desire of women, nor regard any god: for he shall magnify himself above all.
38 But in his estate shall he honour the God of forces: and a god whom his fathers knew not shall he honour with gold, and silver, and with precious stones, and pleasant things.
39 Thus shall he do in the most strong holds with a strange god, whom he shall acknowledge and increase with glory: and he shall cause them to rule over many, and shall divide the land for gain.
-----"
(Daniel 11:36-39, KJV)
The Antichrist as a single person is and will be very real, and he will be cast into the Lake of Fire at the end of the age when Jesus returns in glory with all of HIs holy angels and the saints.
Woe unto you, if you take his mark.
As for antichrists, those are they who deny that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh:
"----- For many deceivers are entered into the world, who confess not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh. This is a deceiver and an antichrist. -----" (2 John 1:7, KJV)

"It's no use trying impart man's faulty logic on the Word of God."
FIXED!
(although I appreciate the comparison to Dr. Van Impe... but I hope to have God's Word memorized the way he does, *and* to diligently apply it!
That said, I have to mention that I somewhat disagree with Dr. Van Impe's recent trend toward ecumenism - which is another crack in the road leading to the Great End Times Apostasy (Falling Away) of the fundamental church of believers).

Seek believes the world is 6,000 years old and that man walked the earth with dinosaurs. In Seek's world, the Flintstones is a documentary.
McLame's attack of hysteria isn't going to help his poll numbers any. He's missed so many votes, I'm surprised he knows where the Senate is.
McCain - the man who wants to go toe to toe with Putin / Bin Laden / etc. apparently blinked - the debates are ON.
Some leader.

"I appreciate the comparison to Dr. Van Impe"
He's been shouting about the imminent arrival of Judgment day longer than Jan Crouch has had pink hair.
The only differences between him and the urine soaked nutbag in front of 7-11 are the diamond encrusted Rolex and sharkskin suits.

WPE:
"--- Seek believes the world is 6,000 years old and that man walked the earth with dinosaurs. ---"
I not only believe it, I accept it as scientific fact. God created the great sea monsters on Day Five, and on Day Six, He created all the dinos, cattle, four-footed beasts, and every other land-beast in their kinds.
ANd last, He created Adam and Eve on Day Six to rule over the Creation He made for them - which included dinosaurs.
Dinosaurs and mankind go wall the way back to Creation Day Six together, but most died off during the Flood - millions of dinos, buried under rocklayers, covered by the raging seas of water... turned into fossils.
The Lord brought some dinosaurs into the Ark, and they survived for a time before falling prey to the newly burgeoning population of mankind in the centuries following the landfall of the Ark at Mount Ararat, but not before they were recorded in various artworks and masonry in ancient times.
We know them today as "terrible lizards", our ancestors knew them as dragons. And they were very real.
But even if I give you links, you not be interested in checking them out. Just a suspicion, but knowing how set in your Darwinian, Spaghetti Monsterist ways some of you secularists can be...
"--- In Seek's world, the Flintstones is a documentary. ---"
Nah, it was a Hanna-Barbera cartoon.
"--- McLame's attack of hysteria ... blah, blah, blah... ---"
I'm not particularly a McCain supporter. I *do* like what Gov. Palin represents (and I know that one or both of you muldoons will pop that out of context to mean I want to hunt wolves from helos or some such nonsense) but I do mean that I like what she *says* she stands for - limited government, low taxes, liberty, and a strong affirmation of her core believes and a willingness to stand up for her principles.
However, if there is the slimmest (very very very slim: the CP organization in NY is quite the white elephant it seems) chance that Dr. Chuck Baldwin will be available as a write-in for the NYS ballot, I'm writing him in. Otherwise, I'll have to choose between "NeoCon A" J-Mac, and his likely stalking horse "NeoCon B turned Libertarian" Bob Barr.
And since Ms. Palin is leaps and bounds prettier than Wayne Allan Root, I just might shoot myself in the foot once more, and vote for the (R) POTUS ticket.
Not like elections in this "republic" mean much of anything anymore - it may very well be possible that the Iraqis or the Ukrainians can run a better election than us.
Jaime:
I don't agree with many of Van Impe's views or "prognostications" of the Second Coming.
The Bible says clearly that it is not for us to know the exact time and date, only giving us hints to the general time when Jesus is likely to return, and moreover, exhorting us to live like today will be the last day of our earthly lives, the day when Jesus appears in Glory.

Is it possible, that Obama's lead could evaporate on election day because of Bradley-Wilder effect? Or nowadays Americans are significantly less reluctant to vote for an African-American? Vote here - http://www.votetheday.com/america/secret-racism-will-subvert-obamas-advantage-333
