We can only hope. I got some Lefty friends who I'd like to see their heads explode.

Except that the losing Democrat gets weirder each time.

Gore -> Kerry -> Obama....

That is a scary trend. At this rate, the Dem candidate in 2016 will be Ayman al-Zawahiri with Reverend Wright as VP.

Check out US ideological distribution for this election. Look how far from the mainstream Obama is.

What do you mean. Obama is promising to seek criminal investigation and prosecution of Bush and others. S.O.P. Right down the middle. Totally mainstream. Just what the country needs right now. You know, leadership, unification, and change we can believe in.

Memo for Obama and Biden:

With tonight's speech, Sarah Palin has just morphed into "The Palinator."

Be afraid. Be VERY afraid.

After Palin's speech tonight the numbers are going to move just a little bit back McCains way. And he hasn't even spoke yet.

I think they're waiting for those styrofoam greek pillars to arrive from Denver.

She absolutely ripped Barry's head off and shit down the opening!

She can play in the Washington game with any of these trolls!

Sarah is easily the most exciting new face in American politics in the New Millenium---she may be POTUS some day, a lot sooner than any process-oriented legalist Dem will ever get elected into the WH.

What a debut! She ate Barry Hussein-O's paper-thin resume and then spit it out of her mouth! The best was reserved for girlie-man Harry Reid, whose contralto soprano is a lot more "shrill" than Sarah's sexy purr. BTW, Sarah's oldest son Track looks like a potential rock-star with a political future. I wish the young hero best of luck in Iraq.

I hope they keep him away from action as Kerry & Gore did when they tiptoed through a few months in the 'Nam.

Sarah Rips BO Another One

Tonight Sarah Palin made history. I'm sure she captured the hearts of Americans everywhere. We're not just looking at the next VP, we're looking at the future. We're looking at the first female president of the US. Her speech was brilliant and specific, her delivery Reganesque, her poise and strength apparent to all. The libs should be afraid; they have reason to be afraid; she will be a formidable opponent and a strong advocate for the American people. To quote Chris Matthews. "She's a torpedo..."

Though Obama might have had 80,000 people at his convention, the roar of approval from this crowd was repeated in living rooms throughout the country.

And the lib MSM? They looked like they were hit over the head with a baseball bat. (Anyone catch Andrea Mitchell tonight? Her dazed expression was reminiscent of an amature boxer taking a full facial blow by a pro. It certainly was good for a well deserved laugh.) The libs are in panic mode. To quote Anderson Cooper, "She puts in the knife without them (the libs) even realizing they've been stabbed." And the smear meisters are already hard at work trying to undermine this woman's achievements. But it won't work, because this woman is going to beat them at their own game and wind up undermining them instead.

After tonight there should be a new Republican Mantra:

DITCH THE ZERO
VOTE FOR THE HERO
MCCAIN/PALIN

At the end of that terrific speech, my wife and I agreed...the Republicans have better players. It's like USC or Ohio State or Oklahoma in college football. Why are their teams so good, every single year? Because they get the best players. People want to play there. You run down the list of young Republican governors -- Jindal, Perry, Sanford, Blunt, and of course Sarah P -- and the analogy starts working. The Republican system, its beliefs, its offense are more attractive to and resonate stronger with young, talented pols than the Democrat system. This is basically why I switched parties in the mid 80s. I like associating with confident, friendly, talented people, and I just got tired of the whining and bashing and hating from the Dems. I am so glad I transferred. I think Sarah will be leading more than a few new folks into the GOP too. It was a great performance, period.

I like that, Tood. Too funny.

Styrofoam pillars? That'd be cute.

The devil's greatest deception of all is convincing you that he doesn't exist,
and the current rhetoric's greatest deception of all is convincing you that deception itself is just part of the "game" of politics.

Politics is about people coming together and deciding how to govern themselves, as one people! As written in 1776! Not about coming together to keep score on two teams, to find out who should win the glory at the end! This should not be made a game, even metaphorically! This is life and death, as we have seen in recent years! This is about heaven and hell! You vote the wrong way, and people die who didn't have to die! You have this power!

And here we are talking about zingers like "I guess a Governor is kind of like a community organizer, but with more responsibility." What does this even mean! We're talking about Senators and Governors here on all sides, not community organizers! Who was a community organzier, anyway, and when? And what the hell is a community organizer, anyway? That's pretty vague.

Something has to pull this nation together, or it's going to continue to fall apart!

If you are watching someone and you think you see them playing a game, please, in this hour, in the name of everything our ancestors have accomplished over the past two hundred years, tell them to talk straight! Tell them to speak, and act, with honesty, and tell them that God is not a judge who grades on a 10-point scale -- his word is final!
