Turns out Al Sharpton just might speak for a larger portion of the black population than I had imagined.

The commercial comes against a backdrop of lingering resentment by some black ministers in Memphis at Mr. Cohen’s election in 2006. Several have been outspoken in the view that a district that is 60 percent black should not be represented by a white man; Mr. Cohen, who is Jewish, was the object of boos and jeers at a meeting of the Memphis Baptist Ministerial Association last summer.

Heavens, I hope this group doesn't think about seceding from the Union one day so they can have the completely black representation that they apparently feel democracy owes them.

Of course a nation that is only 10-12% black shouldn't be represented by a black man then either, right?
