"Tell WGN that by providing Kurtz with airtime, they are legitimizing baseless attacks from a smear-merchant and lowering the standards of political discourse," says the email, which picks up a form of pressure on the press pioneered by conservative talk radio hosts and activists in the 1990s, and since adopted by Media Matters and other liberal groups.
Whatever it is, you'd think someone with him would have the intelligence to know this is only going to ensure that Ayres continues to be the focus of much discussion. Somehow I doubt that's a good thing when it comes to Obawon attracting those Ohio, Pennsylvania Hillary-type voters he seems to need.
As Colonel Durnford said at Isandlwana, "Retreat? It's far too late for that".
You can run Obama, but you can't hide; the vid of you and Ayers has gone viral and everyone in the nation is going to see it eventually.

As for the coronation ceremony, I'd not be surprised if it was a compilation of all the best hero-worship moments of the past few millennia: everything from Nimrod's proclamation of a tower to reach to Heaven, to Xerxes on his man-portable throne (carried by defeated Hillary supporters) to Howard Dean kissing Obama's presidential-select pinky signet ring, to a be capped off by a rousing performance of "Prussian Glory" with pickelhaube-donning trumpeteers marching between rotating columns of fire amid searchlights converging together to form the "O" sign in the night skies.
