This is rich. Obama's people claim McCain will be committing "political malpractice" if they announce their VP selection tonight and step on Obama's speech.
Meanwhile, the DNC is sponsoring birthday parties to mock McCain throughout the battleground states. You stay classy DNC.
Lost in the frenzy of Barack Obama’s speech and John McCain’s vice presidential pick is another big milestone: the Republican presidential candidate’s 72nd birthday Friday.
The McCain campaign is hoping to bury the news in the announcement of his running mate — but the Democrats have a different way of marking the big day, Washington Wire has learned. They plan to celebrate with the septuagenarian all weekend, accusing him of being close with President Bush by throwing “More of the Same” birthday parties on Friday and Saturday in key states like Ohio and Pennsylvania.
A Democratic Party insider said local officials and voters will deliver birthday cakes to the parties, complete with 72 candles, that read “Another Year of More of the Same.”

Now we find out that McCain is simply going to congratulate Obama for his nomination.
The liberal hysterics just can't help themselves and now they just got gamed by the "old guy". LOL!

Political malpractice? Idiots abound.

For the record I supported Fred Thompson and McCain was way down my list.
That said, I have to admit that John McCain has something that Obama and his ilk will never have.Class and lots of it.
I don't happen to agree with everything that John McCain supports but he has earned my respect.
He stands by his principles and doesn't bend to the political winds. That says a lot about the guy.

"-- Now we find out that McCain is simply going to congratulate Obama for his nomination. --"
"Hey! Hey you guys! Look! Look over here! It's the other contender for the White House! Me! Look at me! I'm John McCain! Look! Look!
I just wanted to congratulate Obama on his nomination. Please vote for me this November.
I'm John McCain and I approve this message."

Mac doesn't need an attention grab, his convention is only days away.
What he DID do is make the frothing liberal types look like fools in acting the way they did beforehand and helped to blunt the idea that he is the closet racist that the left sees in every Republican.
Viewers of the 'Messiah Speech For the Ages™' will hear him bashing and trashing McCain in front of his God props, then be treated to a nice calm image of McCain congratulating Obama. The contrast will have been made.
Smooth and shrewd, whether or not Mac intended it.

If McSame wants to horn in and catch some of the Obama's reflected glow, fine. Maybe Obama will return the favor and send him a birtday greeting with congratulations on living to be 72. McCain also makes history if he wins, he'll be the oldest candidate ever elected.

The Obama candidacy is political malpractice.

"--- McCain also makes history if he wins, he'll be the oldest candidate ever elected. ---"
What!! What heresy is this, O fellow comrade in the glorious struggle for American Socialism?
Now tune in to C-Span, and hear the words of our high priest of Mother Gaea, Comrade Al-Gore, as he turns to reliable Talking Point #3 (McCain = Bush III)
Your god, our lord Comrade O-Baaaaaaaaam-maaaa commands it! Hurry! Before the glistening jowl fat of our beloved Al-Goreacle stops quivering with ecstatic relvelation!

A masterful play indeed.

Hey guys, there's still tickets available to see McSame tomorrow - seems to be having trouble filling those 10,000 seats. What's Obama expecting tonight - 70,000 plus? You'd think the guy could sell out on his birthday. Maybe they should have picked a smaller venue.

---seems to be having trouble filling those 10,000 seats.---
Is Mac forcing people to work two hours on behalf of his campaign just for the right to purchase a ticket?
Did he decide to move his venue so that he could milk more dough out of corporate types willing to pay thousands for a place to rest their butt?
Hope and Change, yessir, just try not to get in the way of those "Big Wigs" that Obama said he would punish, you wouldn't want to ruin their expensive view.

Conservatives have families to raise, kids to take care of, jobs to work.
Liberals don't have to deal with such things, they have plenty of time to sit in a stadium watching the emptiest of suits pretend his way to the nomination.

They hate it so much they're having to turn people away. Two hours - doesn't quite compare to Bush's Pioneers.
By the way, the McSame speech tomorrow is at the Nutter Center - I'm sure you'll be able to find it.

Didn't say anything about "hating" it, just seems odd that labor is required to get a ticket. Odd and creepy, what with the Michelle Obama "he is going to require you to work" quote hovering in the background. I wonder if all the fat cat corporate types had to work too.
Do you think Obama's people will keep Muslim women out of the way of the cameras again?
Posted by: Horowitz | Thursday, August 28, 2008 at 10:21 PM
McCain can't get enough people to fill the seats to hear his VP announcement? No shit? Wow, that is big news considering that such things usually draw in the crowds from all over. Sorry, no comparison between that and the nominee acceptance speech at the convention, its just not the same priority.
His campaign should have sent out a 3 a.m. text message, waking people up early in the morning and making them think first that there is some terrible emergency.

Character counts. Most Americans appreciate it, and McCain has it in droves.
The more we see of Obama, the more mainstream, America recognizes the wolf in sheep's clothing. Absolute lack of character, and of principles. Just like the Clintons, the Goreacle, Pelosi, and the worst president ever...Jimmah!
The Republicans won the war in Iraq; we have negotiated a peaceful transition of military power to the Iraqi government; the recession hasn't materialized and; the world is more unstable than it was during the Iowa Caucuses.
McCain 52%
Obama 49%
I can't wait to hear the Lame-One and WPE and jharpo-Marxist and the chris/boob rant on when their world comes crashing in.
Four More Years!

The McCain congratulatory advert was pure class. I am actually impressed, in spite of myself.
Posted by: seekeronos | Thursday, August 28, 2008 at 11:55 PM
Obama's going to put Mccain in the retirement home where he belongs.
Character? I have yet to hear what McCain's programs are. All I hear from his campaign are ads designed to destroy Obama, and 'I was a POW' as an answer to every question. I have yet to hear any commercials presenting a case that McCain's a better choice.
Face it, he 's got no ideas, no answers, just attacks. And that's not character.

WPE...Do you want to talk policy? or character? You seem mixed up.
Visit the McCain website. http://www.johnmccain.com/Informing/Issues/
Barack Obama is a socilaist. Think about that. What does that mean to you? to us?
Be careful what you wish for.
Posted by: ET | Friday, August 29, 2008 at 04:12 AM
He's not a socialiast. Go read up on socialism so you can actually understand what it is before you start throwing labels around.
Posted by: Worst President Ever | Friday, August 29, 2008 at 10:35 AM
It doesn't even matter whether Obama is a socialist or not. He's a terrorist supporter, and that's all anyone needs to know. He's not qualified for any political office, much less the Presidency.
And if he's not a socialist, he's close enough.

Weak choice. Picking someone under investigation for ethics violations is a bad move. ZERO national security experience and Anti-choice. She'll never get independent women (obamas ahead 22 points with women) and conservative men are calling her gidget the air head and threatening to vote for Biden. McCain couldn't have done much worse.
