Secret Service enroute to protect Joe Biden? Better hurry before he shoots himself in the foot before the official announcement. That is, if his foot isn't already in his mouth, of course!
The United States Secret Service has dispatched a protective detail to assume the immediate protection of Sen. Joseph Biden, D-Del., a source tells ABC News, indicating in all likelihood that Biden has been officially notified that Sen. Barack Obama, D-Illinois, has selected him to be his running mate.
I had a feeling it would be Biden - it makes sense from Obama's point of view. The other folks lacked his International rep and experience. But I can't believe Obama doesn't feel like he's sitting on a keg of dynamite with Biden - just hoping he doesn't go off.
There's an old saying from business: first class people hire first class people. Second class people hire third class people.

Perhaps Obama's selection of Joe Biden for running mate will kill the zeal the Obama youth once had.
Will they now look at McCain in a much more favorable light.
Joe Biden will no doubt balance the foreign affairs issue, riding shot-gun (pun intended), but with driver inexperience Obama's selection will do little to help the rest of Mr. Obama's flip-flopped issues -- abortion and off-shore drilling, to name a couple.
But alas, Democrats have their very own Obama bin Biden.
Where's Hillary? Denver? Just a few delegates away you say?
