This quote from Nancy Pelosi isn't going to help Obama much. It seems Democrats are so unaccustomed and uncomfortable injecting Religion into the mix of political rhetoric, most of them blow it every time. And the quote below from Obama is just silly, though not of a Religious nature.
"(Barack Obama is) a leader that God has blessed us with at this time."
Obama:
It’s an old playbook, he continued, but Obama said, it’s not going to work this time. “Not only do you have a candidate who doesn’t take any guff. Not only do you have a candidate who will hit back swiftly and forcefully and truthfully. But you’ve also got American people who are rising up all over the country and saying, enough is enough.”
Given the closeness of recent polls it would seem there are as many people standing up against Barack Obama as there are standing to support him. But this "guff" nonsense? If, after months and months of this you have to tell people you don't "take any guff," Senator ... might that be because they are growing weary of watching you get kicked around, and finally starting to wake up to the fact you simply don't have what it takes?

Is this the same non guff-taking candidate who is afraid to appear in town hall debates with McCain?
Yeah Obama, you're the black Rocky, rising from the floor and pounding away for all you're worth like a true champion.
Blech! Give me a break.

In the story linked in Dan's post and straight from the horses (ass) mouth with San Fran Nan and friends on Sunday.
“John McCain, all he wants to do is talk about me. They know they can’t win on the issues. So what they’ll do is they’ll try to scare people. He’s risky. He’s risky. We’re not sure.”
Yea Yea we get it, your black, he's a racist anything new Barry?
Funny how it's always about him isn't it. The only thing is on Saturday night McCain kicked his whiny ass and spent his entire hour without refering to his "assholyness" sorry, "the One" all night. But it's all about him.
More important is his reference to:
"Things could get ugly in the coming weeks, he warned.
“They’ve got a whole machinery that they’re cranking out,” Obama continued."
What he really was referring to is the upcoming Soros funded slime campaign that HE will use on McCain.
Remember the "here comes the fun part" as Hillary said. Talk about a hypocrite!
Freakin Priceless!
Someone call a Wham-bu-lance will ya!

The whole I don't take no guff line is laughable when you see that even the "Washington Compost" realizes that they are a little tilted in favor of "the One": (From Drudge)

Did he mean the great childrens classic "Billy Goat Guff"?
He didn't take no guff but he was happy to pocket San Fran Nans buddies millions!

King Nebuchadnezzar was God's chosen one too, and that didn't turn out so great.

But even Nebuchadnezzar (Babylonian: "Nebo, protect the boundary!") acknowledged the Creator, the Most High God, at some point in his career (after his time in the wilderness, where the LORD humbled him to the level of a beast for seven years on account of his pride).
Would Obama also acknowledge, as Nebuchadnezzar once did, the Creator's ultimate sovereignty over the Heavens and the Earth, and all that dwell therein?
We can only pray that Obama will do so in this life, but certainly in the next, when he bows the knee before King Jesus and proclaims with his own tongue that Jesus is Lord, to the glory of Father God.
Yet, Nebuchadnezzar's empire was chastened by the LORD, and as was written in the Book of Daniel, it proceeded to succeeding weaker empires - the Medo-Persians followed by the Macedonians under Alexander, and thence by Rome, until such a day as the empire whose feet are the miry clay and iron, a sort of a forced mixture of uneven and unlike elements - which shall finally be shattered asunder by the coming Kingdom of the Rock, the Lord Jesus Christ.
