Obviously Barack Obama is for sale and the media is probably going to buy nonsensical claims that he isn't. After making so-called "soft money" a major issue ... what does Obama do to fund his outdoor extravaganza and accompanying convention? He sells out his principles, his supporters and ultimately himself with soft money - that's what!
WASHINGTON -- Facing a large deficit in the Democratic National Convention budget, officials from Barack Obama's campaign have begun personally soliciting labor unions and others for contributions of up to $1 million. In exchange, donors could get stadium skyboxes for Obama's acceptance speech and other perks.
Obama has regularly criticized politicians seeking large donations outside the framework of campaign finance regulations -- so-called soft money -- while touting the virtues of relying on small donations.
And the spin to counter-act yet another example of how Obawon is all about himself - why else add $6 million to the cost of the thing to give a papal-like audience for the masses out of doors? - this statement below sums it up. Maybe his plan is to change things - if he squeaks through the cracks and doesn't have to run again at some point.
And all "the little people" who propped him up with small donations get to look up at the millionaires and special interest groups who can afford to cough up the bucks for the air-conditioned stadium boxes above them. Ha! What the hell, they may as well become accustomed to looking like a mass of clowns who were snookered if they continue supporting this guy after all that we're seeing and learning about him.
Change you can trust? Yep. He won't change but the Libs can trust him to use them up and abandon them. Just make sure to clap real loud and on cue at the event, my liberal dolts. Your leader demands it - but only after you finish your shift on the phones, of course. Then you can sit or stand out in the heat and gaze upwards as the people you are willing to turn your life over to breath in cool air scented with cash and get briefed by Obama staff.
Obama spokesman Sevugan insisted that none of the campaign's involvement with large-dollar convention funding indicated a weakening of Obama's resolve to reform the system.
Sevugan said: "In addition to his commitment to reform the convention funding process, Sen. Obama has also taken unprecedented steps to curb the influence of money on the political process in refusing contributions from PACs and Washington lobbyists, money raised by them, and asking the DNC to do the same -- all steps that John McCain refuses to take.
"While we recognize that the steps we have taken are not perfect or even a perfect symbol, they do reflect the fact that Barack Obama shares the urgent desire of the American people to change the way Washington operates."

"weakening of Obama's resolve to reform the system."
There never was any real resolve to begin with, just empty posturing.

I was very dissapointed when i went to the local democratic office
to get a free poster to post at my house,
the guy ask me for a (Donation) since we all know that the economy
is soo bad now days,
i told the guy i couldn't afford to give a donation at this time,
the guy replied, well sorry no donation no poster.
i told the guy,
do you know because of that a lot of people might not vote
for Mr.Obama?
the guy replied will you?
i said i probably will not vote for Obama due to this matter.
then i walk out of that place very frustrated,
I was under the impression those posters are free
in fact we are doing the candidate a big favor,
promotion for free.
but i guess it's all about money.
